Fantastic find Earl, not only the find but also showing the step by step of the quick and easy fix for it. I love the concrete curb sandstone, make due with what you have around you. the Airplane reference also key, one of my all time favorite movies. Great Video and thanks for the heads up and tutorial, I know this is something I'll look at right away when I get mine......eventually hehe.
I have 3 dirt bikes a KTM 500, gas gas pro 300, and KTM 300 erzberg. Dirt bikes are great but so are these I have 2 of them. Be kind, you can always be kind! Great tip , thank you
Yo Earl, after inspecting this bike when i first got it, something told me the most problematic part on this bike was yup the front breaks, when arrived home after my first run, i grabbed the cleaning duster and blew all the dirt out that area, i must of used a quarter of the can. I believe you can't allow any accumulation of dirt. A tiny application of some form of lubricant may keep that spring loose so it functions properly.
After I saw Amain had a problem with this I have kept an eye on it mine only seems tight if you really move it up but I will do this to be safe so great info thanks and I think you can do this and not pull the caliper off that might be easier which I know you were just inspecting everything just a thought for those of us that will try this as well. Btw the stand has a front and a rear if you look the lips on top are different the longer one goes to the rear a least thats how I find works best for me it seems to hold it better
I got the new Venom Pro Duo charged Earl. It’s an excellent charger. Just lipo storage charged my current lipos about a week ago. I’m gonna just buy me some newer ones and charge those up instead. Just want to cover all bases. That dirt bike is really cool I might buy one lol.
That brake caliper is big! Good job digging into it and figuring out it was hitting the ground 👍That brake looks complex too, I'm gonna need a Haynes manual for this one.
been watching lots of these motoX video's and everyone's showing the driving and how they feel about it and if there happy , was it worth the hype and so on but not many that i have seen that are actually going into the maintenance side of things like what you have been doing and showing/sharing these important fixes so people can continue to have fun , i think Losi and some other RC production companies would gain way more positive feedback if they send you the products straight up for the amount of knowledge and effort you put in they cant get else where 🙂
Thanks I’ve been offered free products I just can’t accept under the terms of not telling the truth as this is my hobby and I enjoy letting everyone know the good bad and ugly rc on the market but definitely appreciate your support 💯👌🙏
Hey Earl! Nice little hack on sanding that break shaft on the sidewalk! I would put a little dry lube maybe Graphite power and that being sealed that would work out Great! I seen some that want or did take the breaks out i wouldn't do that just like a real bike You need the front breaks to turn better and faster with them!🤔😉👍📹💯✔️👋👋👋
Depending on where you live but yes a used pit bike or Chinese off brand will probably be the same price all depends on what you want your hobby to be I know the smaller cell phone where crazy money when you could get a regular big phone does the same for way less 🤷🏻♂️
@@earlmoorhead5555 thanks for replying, I somehow commented on your video instead of another video. 😆 Lol. I'm subed to your channel and have watched many of your videos.. great work. Keep making great content..Cheers bro. 👍👊😎
Now iv got to rc cars and I get very bored of those things plus when you spend a lot of money on these things you take it home to build it turns out the manufacturers don't build build them properly do thay iv had to modify these toys that are not all that as they build it to break so easily straight out of the box just a warning to those be4 you waste your money
WD40 ! if spring is too hard the servo will not be enought strong to brake. you could not teardown tyni part in your car... you will lose parts, at end the wheel dont seems free
@@did3d523 it’s plastic everything so on crashes I feel it gets distorted and sticks adding a little clearance should allow it to free up and yes sandpaper better I just used what was available on location 👌
I'd get bored of that toy in 5 minutes so I've lost interest in sports and racing because if I'm not involved in it then why would I sit and watch it that's not a life is it I'm not in to watching other people and what thay have no disrespect

Didn’t wanna dig into it but no turning back when you dig into it 🤣😂🤣. Nice fix rc scale mechanics 👍👍👍

Same here. Flashing cleanup was enough. No grease.
Thanks Earl, keep on doing it!
Appreciate your support 🙏
my pleasure!@@earlmoorhead5555
All right ! Sitting here working on my speed cars. Let's get it
Nice job Earl, roadside ingenuity and know how at it's finest! 🤓
Thanks 👍

Adding a little more clearance will help as I notice the plastic gets deformed over time as well specially if it gets impacted 👌
I use lock lube on that kind of stuff.. goes on wet but dries into a graphite lube.
Just did this and the front brake is way better thanks for posting this video
👌

Good job Earl!
Nice video, I wonder if some dry lube ( graphite powder) would help ?
Great tip 👍 💯💯💯
Nice Bike Bash Bro👌
Thanks!
Thanks for the support 😮
What grit paper would you say that curb was? Earl, that was absolutely genius! I love seeing people "MacGyver" things!
Probably 400 from the taste of the plastic flying off it lmao 🤣

Yes lube inside would be better
Nice fix 🎉
good job💪🔝
Good fix. Wonder if silicon spray would work good
😎💯💯💯
Good think horizon messed up the release, most won’t have the bike to have this problem
Idk if Losi will fix the issue or was the side impact the cause 🤷🏻♂️
If this bike goes alittle lower in price I’ll buy it.
What app or device are you using to track speed on your rcs?
Sky rc
Whats the price of thst 600 to 700 you could go out and by a real bike for that
Depending on where you live but yes a used pit bike or Chinese off brand will probably be the same price all depends on what you want your hobby to be I know the smaller cell phone where crazy money when you could get a regular big phone does the same for way less 🤷🏻♂️
Vitavon parts are amazing, I upgrade most my rcs with Vitavon. I also cover many of the parts in videos on my channel too.
For me the vitavon parts are just to expensive to bash with but they sure do look good a work ok 👍

I unhooked the front brakes, my brake shoes broke my first run so I done away with them. You don't need the front brake
Don’t need them it just adds better stopping on road 👌👍

Will attract dirt and cause it to stick worse during runs in the dirt and sand
@@earlmoorhead5555 probably , its bizar that the cylinder was so scratchy ... you have to sand it with 500/and 1000 sand paper
