That was fun to tie, my first salmon on double hook. Thanks Davie, you made it possible for me to tie this her in eastern Canada, and thanks so much for sharing your skills and expertise.
Hi Davie I enjoy your videos as I have learnt lots of techniques from you, I live in South Africa and mostly fish for yellow fish with flies keep up the excellent work.
Beautiful fly, Your techniques have made me a better tier. I know because my flies all come out looking just the same. That is the mark I have been striving for. The flies I haven't practiced enough come out equally bad as well. ;) All the best, Sean
hi davie, nicely tied really like this style with the long wing, thanks to your videos I can now tie these flies with confidence i have recently been tying some of the more basic classic salmon flies the most recent being an Irish classic called the golden olive i made a decent job of it but did struggle with the bronze Mallard it is a beautiful fly and I would dearly love to see you tie one, it is the one in The Complete Illustrated Directory Of Salmon Flies by Chris Mann , I appreciate you are a busy man but maybe sometime you could get round to it .cheers and all the best.

Hi George, I used an old Veniard Kingfisher dye but I would recommend using a teal blue dye as this will give you a brighter blue.. All the very best Davie...
