Just a quick heads up on the compatibility of the airtag with different models of Iphones. This comes directly from Apple. " AirTag is compatible with any iPhone model with iOS 14.5 or later and any iPad model with iPadOS 14.5 or later." Never hurts to have more info:-)
@@insider9119 If you go to Disney you can take advantage of their disability pass and we were able to use our "wheelchair" type device directly up to the ride which made life so much easier for us. So be sure to check out resources for any theme park or water park you visit.
@@autismadvocating we're well versed in it🙂 Disney used to have the best disability pass program, pre-covid. We went back late last year and early this year and it was a disaster, unfortunately. A combination of the new technology on the ground in the parks not working correctly along with untrained staff who were either unable or unwilling to help. I hope they've fixed it by now. After a decade of being an annual passholder, we let them expire. Taking a break from disney for a bit.
Although my iPhone can accurately locate my AirTag, I have found that my iPhone will NOT notify me if the AirTag moves away from my iPhone using the Left Behind feature. Left Behind only notifies the iPhone if the iPhone moves away, leaving the AirTag "Left Behind." Also, it will only provide this notification if the "Notify Me, Except at:" is turned off.
Autistic mom here too… the Answer to the title is : NO !!! If the air tag is “lost” and you can’t find it well it won’t find your kid either. 😅. It means is out of range. Only tracks up to 30 metres. It is Useless to track kids that can go lost!! For this you need a better device and pay the subscription to be able to track them anywhere ! Cheaper means not good for the porpoise. ❤ stay safe.
Here is the link for Jiobit - www.jiobit.com/ and Apple Air Tags can be purchased anywhere from Target to the Apple store. Let me know if you were looking for a different link.
"Wandering opportunity" I love autistic Moms. They are awesome. God bless you all !!!

Thank you for adding those details!!
@@autismadvocating Welcome! Waiting for my airtags to arrive. Theme parks and water parks scare the hell out of us. These should help.

@@insider9119 That is so unfortunate to hear. I hope they figure it out because so many depend on it.
Thanks ❤
I am a big fan of jiobit but I definitely will buy the apple air tag for backup!

Thank you for sharing this, great information to know!! This is why Apple advertises that the AirTag is not designed for tracking people.

I wish I had them for my brother… he would go missing. But, he was in places where there were no people.
Technology can be such a blessing for families nowadays. Wandering is so scary!
