Your plants are lovely!!! Thanks for the tip about drainage and lavender not liking “wet feet”! I just purchased two French Lavender plants and the instructions read to keep the soil moist, so I most likely would have watered them too much!
warp9p65, I live in zone 4, and still here lavender overwinters successfully with coverage. Though my outdoors planted lavender is only angustifolia, French and Spanish lavenders would never survive. I think this plant is really much hardier than we imagine.
i bought lavender seeds for 244 pesos philippine money. plenty of seeds but only six germinated and as of today may 9, 2018, only two survive. looking at it everyday. hope these two survive. may i buy seeds from your farm?
I know this was a long time ago but... Small plants are stronger and might survive better than seeds. However, lavender does not like a lot of water or high humidity so it probably does not grow well in the Philippines.

The lavender plants I buy in the Spring at the box stores do not overwinter in my zone 7. Have to replant each Spring.
