I grabbed one around a year ago for a buck twenty for my 03 ML500 and it was called a Launch CRE for Benz 2023. It was named different but it's the same as your diagnostic tool. I've programmed a replacement TCM, learned a key fob transmitter and I've reset all adaptation data. Well worth the price when you get Benz updates for the life of the tool.
The new version (Creader Elite 2.0 for Benz) has a more useful landscape-oriented display and comes with lifetime updates. It supports so much more than you have showed here, including actuations and graphing of live data. The variant coding is the best part, though, AFAIC. Configuring the instrument cluster, for instance, allows one to reconfigure the seatbelt chime so that the car does not beep at one, before one has turned on the engine. It was worth the purchase price for that alone, but it helped me out a lot more.
I subbed! New to Mercedes. Got an E320 2004 during lock downs 2020. I was bored and wanted to wrench on cars with the stimmys I found one for a thousand bucks. Five years going strong! 85k more miles and I’ll be getting the second high mileage badge.
Great video, I didnˋt know about this device yet. I wonder if its possible to activate „sound design“ on my CLK 550 with it. Definitely going to check it out! Thanks
Definitely about to order one for my CLK. I have a side questions for you though, what camera do you use to record? I want to upgrade my camera for my channel and I like the quality of yours.
@@HeyboysGarage my car is a SLK230 1998, with 38pin diag connector. I will need of a adapter, but i have no idea wich one is compatible with Launch scanners.
A lot of modules are supported. I only used it for the instrument cluster so far. I don't think you should expect 100% coverage of what the official MB software does, but there are heaps of options for the instrument cluster alone. The new Elite 2.0 version supports lifetime updates, so if something isn't supported today yet, it may become available in the future.

That’s awesome! That’s what everyone needs to hear. I pinned your comment

This does the same as the Elite 2.0. Its the same device. Only difference is the processor is faster and physical look
Let’s see the variant coding capabilities! 😁 definitely looks like a good on the go option to keep in the car though like you said 👍

Yeah might be able to if your car is equipped with that option

Works in older benz with 38 pin diag connector?
Not sure which year your Benz is but its universal OBD2 code reader for all cars after 1996 that comes with OBD2 protocol.

Can this carry out initial startup for a lift gate control unit on a Benz GLK 350 2015 4matic
Yes!
Can you change the variant coding of all modules (like star /das)
And which models are supported for coding?
I will be looking at the modules to see is it can do it on all the modules.
