    Also what I’ll say. My biggest worry this year is the back half of the draft. My worry is that the correct play from the 8-12 spot was to take whoever was left off Bijan and Breece, and stack with either Gibbs or JT in the second. My fear is that the second round WRs basically all disappoint like they did last year, and the only way to compete with the Big 6 of the first is to go heavy RB early, and accept that you’re behind the first half of the draft by default because of how big of a tier break they end up being, so the actual play was to load up on 3-4 early RBs and load up on guys with very, very realistic shots at being top 5 RBs if they stay healthy. Especially with how flat of a tier it seems to be as soon as Wilson and Puka are off the board. It feels like MHJ all the way to like the Keenan Allen range all have pretty similar shots at being the WR you wanted all season in the early rounds.

    Huge cowboys fan here, so with the Wide receiver room I believe the 3rd most productive receiver with probably be Turpin he will be lock in at wr 4 and Tolbert and brooks are going to split wr 3 role. Also with new kickoff Turpin might have extra production. And he get handoffs aswell.

    Something that I think a lot of people are getting wrong about Stroud is this. Stroud was not “great” for fantasy last year. He had a slightly above average season in PPG. He had a much, much better season than most people expected. That’s the difference. We are drafting all 3 of his receivers in the top 3-4 rounds, and the reality is that there’s a very, very possible world where Stroud regresses like Baker Mayfield did after his rookie year. Stroud has not yet put up a difference-making season in fantasy, and yet we’re taking him ahead of pocket passers who not only have put up those seasons, but are still in a situation where they can replicate those seasons. 😂 He’s a dynasty QB who’s being treated like he put up a Herbert season, when he was nowhere close to attaining that level. We have to cool it on Stroud, he should be going behind Dak, behind Kyler, behind Burrow, behind Dak, arguably behind Love because Love has proven he can do it in his rookie year. He should be behind Tua. He should be in the Goff and TLaw range right now, and we have him aligned with QBs who have already, and can again, put up almost 10 ppg more than he did his rookie year. Like what are we doing here folks? He’s being drafted at his absolute ceiling already, with his 3 receivers drafted basically at their absolute ceilings. People aren’t considering that the Texans could absolutely regress, and every single one of those teams is fully dead, because no one takes just one piece of that offense, they stack up 3 or 4 almost every time.

  • @davem7173
    @davem7173 3 дня назад

    I don't get why Erik is so worried about Dallas offense. Zeke, dowdle, cooks and fergusan and even tolbert if he secures the WR3 job are great options. These skill players are very similar to last year and they might not be great but didn't stop dallas from being a top 5 offense last year. And vegas expects them to be in same bucket again this season. I might be biased though because these dallas players are my highest exposure players of all

    • @SpikeWeek
      @SpikeWeek  3 дня назад

      Because they aren’t good football players, and their collection of talent is worse than last year. They can be fine best ball picks (we all take them) & we can acknowledge outside of Dak/CeeDee the offense (including the OL) is severely lacking talent.

    • @davem7173
      @davem7173 3 дня назад

      @SpikeWeek that's fair I don't think they are great players or anything. I meant to say they are great value options. Getting Dallas starting RB at pick 127 is nuts. Or even crazier at pick 140. The goalline looks alone will pay those adps off. And there's no reason to think Ferguson can't at least match last year's numbers which makes him a value at adp due to dallas not bringing anyone else in and you'd think he'd improve even slightly after last year being his first as a starter. People had same exact concerns last year about the dallas offense and Mccarthy ruining all of them for fantasy blah blah and were dead wrong.

      @SpikeWeek  3 дня назад

      @@teabaggingtime1415 we just disagree that several years of poor play for a 30 year old can just be ignored & thrown away. If we make intangible excuses for every player who played poorly, we are going to overdraft a ton of bad players. Going to continue to harp on the falcons offense for one that maybe the market isn’t worried enough on..
    “We have a WR who is going at pick 14 who is has been outscored by WRs going 100 picks after him in each of his 2 seasons.”
    “Then there is a RB who previously split time and is going in the first, while being outscored by 6 guys going behind him.
    “Then there is a TE who has massively disappointed in each of his 3 seasons, and is still going as the TE 6”

    • @donkcrypto9613
      @donkcrypto9613 3 дня назад

      Many myself included are making the complete opposite argument that Falcons are mostly undervalued. Completely new offense and a super friendly fantasy QB+a great backup QB. All the coach speak is that Bijan is going to be used like CMC havent heard one word about Tyler.A being involved like last season.
      This offense is going to be run like the Rams. They like to keep one back on the field to not allow the defense to make adjustments. Bijan is awesome hes going to be used like prime Gurley,Kyren, or as the Rams keep telling us CMC.
      I do agree London is currently slightly overpriced. Hes getting pushed up because of the WR thirst. That said he still has a huge ceiling and if you're going WR in that range he does look to be a OK enough pick.

    • @SpikeWeek
      @SpikeWeek  3 дня назад

      @@donkcrypto9613 yea I think we all see the perks of the new situation, but the market is pricing in those new perks. Doesn’t mean it’s wrong, but they’re being drafted as if everything you said is going to guarantee massive fantasy seasons, despite it being the first year of the new system with an old QB coming off an Achilles tear.

    • @donkcrypto9613
      @donkcrypto9613 3 дня назад

      @@SpikeWeek I actually think the QB situation is amazing. Cousins historically is elite for the production of his skill positions. If for some reason he is dusted though they have the highest upside backup QB ITL. Also have to factor in the Falcons defense is awful their going to have to score alot of points to keep up.
      I do agree the market is baking in the bull case outside of Pitts who has the "never again" crowd holding down his ADP. I fully believe in the talent of this offense and that Arthur Smith/QB play was what was holding these guys back. If this is a first year Russ Wilson to the Broncos situation though I will be down bad but I can accept that as the process is good IMO.
