I like these. I like paying 100+ dollars rather than 6-700+ dollars..... Huge payoff when you go to run them over rocks and beat the hell out them. I won't cringe near as hard lol!! Thanks for the vid and in depth view!! Cheers
With an 8° +/- king-pin inclination ( correct steering/scrub geometry) a U-joint style axle shaft will need freedom to sway from front to back inside the OUTTER end of the axle tubes as it steers left full to right full. therefore the TINY bearing with adapter/carrier thing, should just be tossed out.
Hi, sorry life got in the way and haven't had the time to film and edit yet. So far about 9hrs or total runtime on brushless nothing has broken yet, and I will say I wasn't exactly easy on the truck, that being said: the axle shafts looks to be in great condition, minimal signs or wear. The ring and pinion gears, lockers however show signs or wear, not worrying but definitely something to keep an eye on. My guess is that it'll probably be fine on a brushed set up. Also stock gears or basically any scx10ii gears will drop in and work, but fitment it a little tight and might require some modification to the ring gear bearing carriers. Other than that I still would recommend these. Imo at 190usd even if it's just the housings I'd still think it's worth it.
All that really matters is how good the gears ,axles and bearings are. The housing looks cool but folks rarely break or crack the housing itself when actually crawling. Don't be fooled by a simple cheap Chinese CNC program stolen from vanquish. All that said, seems like a good deal for 120. You want an off center pumpkin for crawling though.
@@CRCG_00If all the stock and aftermarket stuff interchange then really its a win win in my book. Currently purchased these for my 1.9 wraith that had some messed up parts on it. Wandering have you ran into dependability issues with these yet? Like longer term
These are not clones of any Vanquish Product, nor are they machined. They are clearly cast pot metal as can be seen by the casting lines clearly visible in the video. I wouldn’t pay $12 for these and I sure wouldn’t give China $120 of my hard earned dollars. Keep up the great work?
these are not machined at all - this is very low grade aluminum scarp melted and poored into a cast - this pot metal aluminium - AGAIN not MACHINED - machined means out of a block of metal with a lathe and cnc machine - which this is VERY positilly NOT - not worth the price for sure by the way - the file test - they way you rubbed it on the file -not a test at all - good luck - just stop recomending junk
I own both types, machined and cast and I agree that the cast ones are trash but these aren't. most easy way to tell: there are no mold seam lines and edges are crisp, material quality is much harder than cast pot metal ones.
Ok bud... They are machined. You don't know what your talking about. The word " Machined" has nothing to do with the material. One can machine almost any material. So, your very wrong and have lost all credibility in just your first few words. The meaning your looking for may be " Billet ", which in fact means machined from a solid block. He never says they are BILLET, just machined which they ARE MACHINED..... ok troll? And for 600+ dollars you can have over priced Vanq parts, you go for it bud haha.... I say brand snob to anyone willing to spend near a grand on some axles for a toy truck.
@@ryano8613 there are lines from the cast it is obviuos - i bought some of these as well and regreted it - i worked with chineese manufactuerers - i did not troll - if it seem like it then i appologise - but the way it is priced even chineese manufactueres are not able to give you machined product for that - it is a cast product cleaned and good quality for cast - i have the FIMONDA ar45p and aAR60 diamond axle also form aliexpress - both are junk -it is better not to buy metal axle at all if you do not have the budget - TRX4 axles are bomb proof and they are plastic - so does Vanquish f10 portal in plastic - you do not need to buy $600 axles - these options are 150and 260 dollars

I really love these axles I've been thinking about getting a set but for $180 I want to see how they hold up to the abuse

In the 1/1 world there isn't a bearing in that part of the axle, I've run many different setups without that outer bearing at the end of the tube.
Looks like a fun little wraith, I have always like the 1.9 over the old 2.2 wraith. Solid durable rigs.
Got 2 sets in black, love them. Also got the capra cp44 knock offs for 88$ complete set! I got the machined ones, not cast also for that price
Thank you for this. Been looking at these axles for a while now
Glad I could help
Totally worth it for the money
Do you have an update on how they held up?
Would all the internal parts fit in the insides of plastic housing? In case I didn't want to scratch up the metal axles?
❤❤❤❤thanks for sharing, from Alberta Canada
Any update on the strength and durability of these?

Sweet axles 😋👌

Nice video 😉💪
Has anyone tried replacing the internal parts with Axial or Vanquish parts. I'm wondering if there is a failure and a part needs to be replaced.
Tested stock axial gears + axle shafts & SSD gears + axle shafts, both fit in the housing and work fine but the ring gear fitment is a bit tight.

Your absolutely mistakenly wrong my son!!! It is machined!! If your dissatisfied with your vanquish rubbish trade it or raffle it off?
