OCD here too!! I love when people are open about it bc it makes me feel so much safer to talk about some of my OCD themes, especially the misunderstood ones. The anxiety OCD can create is just unreal. I’m in therapy now and I’m making (slow) progress but after getting a diagnosis and realising it’s a medical condition that will respond to treatment it’s like a huge burden has lifted. Best wishes to you girl!!

@@SijdwnkzdkdkI have been through a lot of ERP therapy. It makes a huge difference and can even make you feel free. But it does come back. What you learn can help you manage it for life though :). I've been good for years. Only now doing worse because I had a baby and it's such a huge trigger on top of the stress.

I’ve been putting off going to therapy for so long because I’m overwhelmed with the process of finding the right one but with their encouragement and casual, open conversations about it is starting to convince me to just do it❤️
You don't have to go right into talking about traumatic events. In fact, some kinds of therapy you don't have to talk about them out loud at all! (EMDR and somatic reprocessing) And if you don't click with someone, that's not what therapy is like, it's just not a match. Life doesn't have to be this hard. Please do it ❤
also just a clarification for anyone reading to not suddenly stop taking medication like this you need to taper off over a period of a few weeks generally

Listening to Marc’s music feels like there’s fire being put to my feet and I just HAVE to move. 3.This man is a god damn genius. I’m so grateful that my eyes are now open. I stopped taking prozac like 4 years ago because of bad side effects, and 2 months ago I decided to start lexapro. It has completely changed my life for the better already! Wishing you luck on your antidepressant journey 🎉
I started and came off of Lexapro twice, then over a year later started prozac which has been working much better for my specific needs. It is totally normal to need to try different meds/combos, it's quite a gradual process!! Oh, and journaling is important as it will help you keep track of the effects and find what works best for you! Be sure to document both physical and mental symptoms/improvements, and to also document any perceived lack of change. Rooting for you! ♡
I had to try like 4 different antidepressants before I found the right one! It was a long road but absolutely worth it. I am so so much better and can actually vaguely function now. Meds aren't for everyone of course but people's body chemistry reacts to mental health drugs DRASTICALLY different, even dose wise! Just communicate with your doctor! ❤ You got this!
Thank you for the mental health chat. I have OCD and have been hesitant to start therapy. Having these conversations normalizes openness and reduces stigmas against seeking help 💜
i was also scared when starting ERP that a therapist wouldn't understand my themes or thoughts and even invalidate or make me spiral more. that was the complete opposite, i found a therapist who specializes in OCD and she herself has it which makes things easier too in a way because she understands the struggle. ERP is the most effective way to treat OCD and it has helped so much for me(ofc struggles here and there and the process can be scary!) i hope you're doing well with it and able to get help.

Loved the mental health talk on today’s episode!! I recently was put on lexapro after finally being diagnosed with depression and anxiety and I love seeing mental health taken seriously on the show and having so much support. Also hearing Sam talk about her experience with OCD makes me feel better about my personal struggles with OCD and working on overcoming some of it!
This is one of the best streams in a long time. I mean, I watch every episode and obviously I'm family but this one just really did it for me. Marc was amazing and I'm usually not super interested in guests coming on cause I just love interactions with the crew but Marc really felt like part of the crew. He really is a fan and knows a lot of the lore which is awesome. I prefer them to do guests like this that basically just guest host alongside Ethan, it's so good. Also, AB coming through with the one liners was on point, the mental health talk really hit home for me and Sam sharing her story (I mean who is Sam?) and just all the ingredients were there. Every stream is amazing but I this was above and beyond, loved it. Also, I fully agree with everyone, Marc and Dan sound so much alike, if you're not watching the screen and hear them, you can't tell haha. ✌️&♥️ Family!

@@morgancosgrove7459He makes music using a machine that loops beats and vocals that he'll provide (hence the name 'Loop Daddy') and it's pretty much all improvised. He did a couple of performances on the show a few years ago if you want to check him out, they're all amazing.

I stopped taking prozac like 4 years ago because of bad side effects, and 2 months ago I decided to start lexapro. It has completely changed my life for the better already! Wishing you luck on your antidepressant journey 🎉
I didn't like zoloft but i do better on another one! It's defs worth to try other ones.
I started and came off of Lexapro twice, then over a year later started prozac which has been working much better for my specific needs. It is totally normal to need to try different meds/combos, it's quite a gradual process!! Oh, and journaling is important as it will help you keep track of the effects and find what works best for you! Be sure to document both physical and mental symptoms/improvements, and to also document any perceived lack of change. Rooting for you! ♡
I had to try like 4 different antidepressants before I found the right one! It was a long road but absolutely worth it. I am so so much better and can actually vaguely function now. Meds aren't for everyone of course but people's body chemistry reacts to mental health drugs DRASTICALLY different, even dose wise! Just communicate with your doctor! ❤ You got this!

Thank you for the mental health chat. I have OCD and have been hesitant to start therapy. Having these conversations normalizes openness and reduces stigmas against seeking help 💜
i was also scared when starting ERP that a therapist wouldn't understand my themes or thoughts and even invalidate or make me spiral more. that was the complete opposite, i found a therapist who specializes in OCD and she herself has it which makes things easier too in a way because she understands the struggle. ERP is the most effective way to treat OCD and it has helped so much for me(ofc struggles here and there and the process can be scary!) i hope you're doing well with it and able to get help.

Loved the mental health talk on today’s episode!! I recently was put on lexapro after finally being diagnosed with depression and anxiety and I love seeing mental health taken seriously on the show and having so much support. Also hearing Sam talk about her experience with OCD makes me feel better about my personal struggles with OCD and working on overcoming some of it!

This is one of the best streams in a long time. I mean, I watch every episode and obviously I'm family but this one just really did it for me. Marc was amazing and I'm usually not super interested in guests coming on cause I just love interactions with the crew but Marc really felt like part of the crew. He really is a fan and knows a lot of the lore which is awesome. I prefer them to do guests like this that basically just guest host alongside Ethan, it's so good. Also, AB coming through with the one liners was on point, the mental health talk really hit home for me and Sam sharing her story (I mean who is Sam?) and just all the ingredients were there. Every stream is amazing but I this was above and beyond, loved it. Also, I fully agree with everyone, Marc and Dan sound so much alike, if you're not watching the screen and hear them, you can't tell haha. ✌️&♥️ Family!
