I was looking for a solution for my new RUclips studio when I came across your video. Excellent piece of kit and will be ideal for my future photography work. Many thanks.
Thank you, your video helped me to decide to buy it because I need fast way to change overhead cammera angles and I think this type of holder will do that
Just ordered it thank you brother this is perfect for my camera over head view. I have the same issue my tripod folded out is to big and hits my craps table. I'm doing a 3 camera production for my craps channel. I'm also going to get another one for lighting.
THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD OF THIS. ITS SOMETHING FOR ME TO KEEP IN MIND. I WANT TO FILM MY HANDS PLAYING THE PIANO. I WAS TOSSING UP WHETHER TO GET A TALL TRIPOD WHERE A BOOM ARM I ASSUME WOULD CLIP ONTO IT SOMEHOW OR A MIC STAND WITH A BOOM ARM OR A LIGHTING STAND. I THINK THE CHEAPEST MIGHT BE WHAT YOU HAVE THERE, JUST A BOOM ARM WHICH I WOULD HAVE TO ATTACH TO MY WALL NEXT TO MY PIANO. I WAS VERY SCEPTICLE BEFORE ABOUT USING AN ELECTRIC DRILL EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ONE HERE. BUT I RECENTLY BOUGHT A CHEAP TABLE WHICH HAS 2 SHELVES AND I DIDNT KNOW I HAD TO DRILL HOLES INTO THE LEGS AND TABLE TO GET THE 2ND SHELF ONTO THE LEGS. I HAD TO FORCE MYSELF TO USE THE DRILL BUT I HAD SUCCESS USING THE DRILL SO NOW I KNOW I CAN USE IT. THE ONLY THING IS, SOME OF THE WALL NEXT TO MY PIANO IS VERY HARD. IM NOT SURE IF ITS FIBRO OR WHAT BUT I DRILLED A HOLE IN SOME OF IT TO PUT A CLOCK THERE AND I HAD A HARD JOB DRILLING INTO THE WALL. ANYWAY, FOR ME, ITS FOOD FOR THOUGHT, BUT I DO SEE MYSELF CHOOSING SOMETHING LIKE YOU HAVE THERE. AND I LIKE THE FACT YOU CAN PUSH IT AWAY WHEN YOURE FINISHED WITH IT SO ITS NOT IN THE WAY.
I'm glad this video was useful for you. 😊 To drill through a hard wall you're probably best with a powerful drill and make sure it's on "hammer mode" to really drill through. You can then use the bolts provided with the boom arm. Good luck.
@@GeekyStuff the issue is that it so close to my desk and I have carpet floors it keeps wiggling my camera. So everytime I film I have to wait 10 seconds for every cut or movement of drawing and it's so annoying so that's why I'm looking for for a wall mount.
What you want to get yourself is a Benro GD3WH geared head. It makes lining up the overhead shots so much easier. Trying to do it with a ballhead will drive you bonkers.
I'll take a look at them thanks mate. Must admit that although it's good to have that flexibility of a ball head in terms of where you want it pointing, getting it level on the top down shots can be a pain lol.
@@GeekyStuff You get the same kind of flexibility with a geared head, just that you can make micro adjustments without getting the typical ballhead sag. Well worth the money, but they are quite large compared to ballheads.
Thanks for the informative video! We were looking for a wall mount option for overhead cameras and studio lights to save space in our streaming studio. This is perfect! A+++
I do work at a comedy club and I've been trying to find a way to mount my camera to the wall so it's out of the way of the crowd. Do you think this would work with a Blackmagic PCC4K (with a half-cage and rails) and a Sirui 75mm anamorphic? Or would that be too heavy for the mount?

Definitely do it! 🤣😎

That's pretty neat for an overhead view, I was thinking about getting one of these for holding a light.
Yea, that's what most people use it for. It'll work wonders I'm sure! Thanks for watching 👍

Nicely done. If only I had a dedicated room. Saying that I've got a little method for top down videos and I'll be doing a video soon.
Cool! I'll keep an eye out for that! Thanks for watching 👍
“Pointless IKEA plant”
I feel attacked. 🤣😂
😂😂😂😂🤪 👍
Definitely buying one for my art channel! Thank you for this review! Best one yet!
Ah cool thanks for watching 😊 Just checked your channel. What do you use at the moment for overhead shots?
@@GeekyStuff Iuse a tripod as well

This video was helpful to me. I bought the same configuration. Thank you, I liked your video...
Perfect video, thank you!
Thank you ❤️
I'm actually using something similar, it works really well.
Yea man, saves so much space too 👍
Pretty awesome, Paul! Looks solid too. Lol...you did look a bit worried when you first put the camera on it and let go for the first time haha 😆
Haha yea man! Was very cautious, but glad it's still hanging! Lol! Thanks for watching Roger Of Tech! 💥
Can you lock off the horizontal swivel?
nice ! can you fix the left/right movement of the arm ?
Well you push it left or right and it'll just stay there.
This is nice. I have my camera on an arm that clamps to the table, which means it wiggles whenever I use the table.... So I need one of THESE
Yea it absolutely amazing! It's still holding strong too 💪 I now keep my camera mounted on it at all times lol!
@@GeekyStuff that's great. I was thinking about mounting a shelf to clamp my other one too but this is better. Thanks!

Why did you install it upside down? The buttress should be underneath.
Because I wanted it hidden and folded up out the way.
Brilliant
Great video..
Thanks for watching 👍

It was completely necessary for my setup. Id be lost without it.
