Definitely hypocrisy because the entire reason sign flippers exist as a job is that the government in many states and towns require you to get a permit to put up signs on the public easement such as this restaurant is doing... But if you have someone holding a sign then no permit is required. So it would be funny to find out that such a law exists in this town and even funnier to find out that the restaurant doesn't have the proper permits to have such a sign where it is and yet they don't like Jeff holding a sign...

One of the reasons Jeff's audits are the best is, unlike other auditors, he sets up his camera a few feet from the scene. Therefore, he catches LEOs and regular citizens completely off guard. Other audits either carry or wear their cameras. So, it's quite obvious that they're recording the business owners and/or LEOs. In this case, Entitled Gary and Maxwell the Tyrant had no idea they were being filmed. They thought Jeff was a down-on-his-luck homeless dude. So, they treated Jeff based on that assumption. If you watch this particular video, you can even witness Maxwell the Tyrant change his tone as soon as he realized that he had been recorded from the beginning.

I would assume that there's hundreds and hundreds of court cases over the last 200 plus years in America of people being arrested while holding signs in public so it should be very obvious to any reasonable officer about what he's doing is legal and protected First Amendment speech... But of course with how horrible our government is he'll probably get qualified immunity anyway.

Lack of accountability. There was a case not too long ago where a 15-year-old was trying to pay for something at a convenience store with a partially ripped bill. Off duty plain clothes officer standing behind him got pissed off that the teen was having a disagreement with the cashier and was slowing down his day. Officer screamed at him that he's now being trespassed and he has to leave the property and as the kid was leaving the property halfway out the door The officer grabbed him from behind threw him to the floor and handcuffed him. Then the officer slammed his face into the ground and smashed his teeth in while he was handcuffed. After 7 years of fighting it in the courts the kid finally won barely enough money to cover his medical bills and little else. The officer in question? Tons of paid vacation while they investigate and at the end of 7 years he got 3 days of unpaid suspension... Which he promptly appealed through his Union and got even that much punishment removed. So that's why I say it's a lack of accountability... Because what did that incident teach that officer about what not to do in the future? he was never actually punished for smashing a 15-year-old face into the concrete while he was handcuffed.

@@2200Stinger -- This guy is awesome. With that I will agree.
But that said, Wtf other auditors have you been watching? You need to expand your 1AA viewing you watch if the only other ones you watch "get irrationally upset" or "make it about themselves". "Getting upset" is just them doing the audit. Testing to see if they're gonna be allowed to say what they say or get hemmed up. As long as it's not threatening harm, it's should be fine.
And 99% of the auditors out there now ARE informed. So, again, which ones have you been watching.. lol

He is mentioning god and criticizing the way the government treats homeless vets. Speech regarding religion and the government are the most protected in the 1st amendment. It makes it impossible for the towns to defend against a lawsuit,

This establishment got a local hot tempered police officer to force a Jeff off the public sidewalk under threat of arrest because he was saying, “God bless the homeless veterans”. The man was not asking for money or anything else at all. The manager of this local eatery, named Gary, claimed that this humble man was, “bothering our guests coming in, coming out. He’s already made 8 people walk away”. Based solely on this statement, the police officer threatened to arrest the man. The complete footage clearly shows that not one patron walked away. We clearly see patrons enter without once hesitating because of Jeff. It is not illegal to be on a public sidewalk and saying anything that is not actually causing a disturbance as classified under the law. It would be the same thing if I said I’m disturbed by the existence of this Chop House Grill in Madison, GA, therefore I want it shutdown. Shut it down! If I am disturbed because of the LEGAL actions of a person or a business, my personal feelings do not give the police any authority to shut it down. This establishment and officer Maxwell, owes this man a public apology. Put your ego to the side, do the right thing, and make things right by God and your fellow human being. Just do it - without any excuses, explanations or other comments. Keep it simple. It will be difficult to do the right thing, it will take courage, humility and selflessness to dig deep inside your soul to do what Jesus would do, but just do it; do the right thing. If patrons walk away because someone says, “God bless the homeless veterans”, then those patrons are not patriots and don’t deserve the food and service your establishment provides for the public to enjoy.
I’m a decorated vet, 2 tours of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a combat medic (Navy Corpsman) in Camp Al Taqaddum, with 2d Marine Division (2d MARDIV), II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) in 2005 (as well as 2 years serving abroad the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65) forward deployed supporting no-fly zones over both Bosnia-Herzegovina (Operation Joint Endeavor) and Iraq (Operation Southern Watch) in 1996).
