A few corrections After some reading on the wiki, it appears that the Koco didn't necessarily build all the buildings. It was the Ancients. The Koco were apparently lucky charms for the Ancients, but then their memories got transferred over to the Koco. I must have missed the dialog revealing that. So yeah, anytime I say "Koco ruins", assume I said "Ancient ruins". Also, I say that a door opens leading to another area of Ares island, but there's nothing blocking it. I don't know why I assumed there was. I may be stupid.
I know most people find the sonic frontiers islands generic but for me they just look do gorgeous like the perfect place to spend some days off work I wished more games had this fantastic but realistic map design
I’ve spent nearly 600 hours in this game, explored every area countless times. Yet this perspective really opens my eyes to some of the details hidden in plain Sight.
You should definitely cover the rest of the game ! I've spent a lot of time just doing nothing but chilling and running around in Frontiers, and I think by far, my favorite spot is the place on Ouranos island where there's a Caterpillar under a three-legged open hill and you can climb on the ceiling above the mini-boss. Second favorite still on Ouranos, the massive temple with the giant purple diamond in it. I love climbing on top and using the smooth surface to launch off the diamond !
Your explanation of the game's opening area reminds me not only of Breath of the Wild, but also the Xenoblade games. Namely 2, Torna, and Future Redeemed (I havent played 1), in that each have these foresty areas with a clear start point and the spot where the "tutorializing" ends and the music kicks in.
I played a little bit of 1 some months ago, I'm pretty sure it had a similar opening section. I really wanna go back to that game an eventually make a video on it... the worlds for the series are so interesting. You don't see many games with scale like them.
Your my favorite RUclips channel. I absolutely love just taking in game environments and you explaining how you feel in them is incredible and therapeutic
The giant mirror at 7:30 harkens back to the old Arecibo telescope. It's the giant radar antenna that they used in 007 Goldeneye back in the 90s. Sadly the structure collapsed back in 2020.
7:38 the game says it's a place to land spaceships if I recall correctly, most of the strange things are explained in the last DLC. Still loved your take :)
Theres a ton of little areas outside of the main playable area that you can access through some cool speedrun tricks. If you make a part two, I HIGHLY recomend looking around the top of the cliffs above the starting area, there's this weird stonehenge like spot on a field nearby. That's probably my favourite spot in the game because just... Why is it there?
The moment you said "glitch city" about interiors instantly brought myself back to reality, and made me really appreciate RDR2 so much more. You don't even THINK about glitches when your going in and out of interiors. Another great vidya.
You can actually return to the Giganto boss Arena on Rhea Island! Its the Second part of Kronos Island thats behind an invisible wall. Since Kronos, Rhea and Ouranos were suppose to be One huge island. You can actually get mods that restore the original Size!
Not to break the illusion and ruin the magic, but I did know that Rhea was part of Kronos. I didn't actually know that Ouranos was originally part of Kronos though! I remember thinking it was weird that they basically reused the same aesthetic for the last island of the game, but hearing that the original Kronos island was split up into two, that makes more sense.
@@PretzelYT There's actually visual evidence of this if you go high enough, too. Easiest on Rhea and in Final Horizons, because of the towers, though possible on Kronos too if you know how to perform speedrun tech. Basically, if you go high enough on Kronos/Rhea you can see the outline of Ouranos Island in the water as a lighter-coloured patch, and vice versa.
Necesito más videos en mi vida que aprecien lo hermosas que son las islas de frontiers Claro, no tienen el estilo artístico más compatible de los videojuegos, pero siguen siendo lugares preciosos en los que correr por horas es satisfactorio
Hi pretzel, thanks for your hard work as always! I think you would enjoy having a tour in lsd dream simulator as well, would like to see that one from your perspective too!

Didn't expect this at all, such an underrated game with pretty zones

I love these calming chill tours of vidja game worlds.

This was a nice little tour, very relaxing and I loved hearing your thoughts on the environments

I'd love for you to make a video on the rest of the islands, maybe also covering the Cyber Space aesthetics if that interests you.

would like a part 2. i'd love to see you explore spots on chaos island
About trying to re-enter the kronos boss arena, there's an invisible wall at the top to stop you if you manage to get up the wall.
Once again reminding you to make one of these videos on wolfenstein: the old blood
I adored your video, and would love to see another one about Chaos, Rhea and Ouranos Island!

I had no idea this game existed but I am all for another chill spot video B)

7:20 That looks very much like a ground-based radar dish, like the Arecibo Observatory
Or radio telescope
Also I'd like to see some more of sonic frontiers, it's surprisingly pretty :)
You’re so real for this 🙏🙏
would love to see a continuation of this
This is so wholesome.
surely they didnt put Czech hedgehogs in the game as a joke…

I've been aware of that game for a while but I've never played it myself. I should check it out sometime.
Thanks a lot
i enjoyed this video
Make a RDR2 video, or else...
You’re right, he really should make a video about Really dumb Robots 2
Cheese 👍
Hideous game
