I have the Forte button box with the open D leather, closed leather round, and the Comfort Plus rims. It takes less than 5 minutes to swap them, with practice. You actually don't need to remove the finger paddle screw in order to get to the screw that attaches it to the button box. Just loosen it a little, not remove, then slide the finger plate to reveal the screw. You can use this function to adjust the distance of the paddles from your fingers. I leave the three sets at different distances as it helps to differentiate them. The magnet is strong so take care to cover it with your finger before you put the hex key in the hole or it will get scratched. When you do scratch it, a black Sharpie will cover it.
How do you not have 10,000 + subs? I love your videos an d your sense of humor. I just hope Asetek doesn't take offense and can appreciate that not all of their customers are straight laced sticks in the mud. Are you saying we can use the extra grips in the bedroom for matress racing??
I can’t believe I got a thousand subs to be honest but hopefully 10k will come some day. I do realise that I won’t be every viewer & manufacturers cup of tea but that’s ok sure 🤷🏼♂️ at this moment I’m enjoying making videos just as much as I am racing this would not be the case if I have to be serious and make a 100% straight laced videos then it would soon be a job sure. 1000% I meant that the extra grips are for bedroom racing, perhaps sim motor-boating 😂 Thanks for watching matey it’s much appreciated 🙌🏻
Good video! I've actually just swapped out my round Asetek wheel for a 320mm round CubeControls GT Pro V2 wheel. Main reason is actually the thickness of the Asetek rim, or rather lack of thickness. It is surprisingly skinny and if you have big hands you might find yourself cramping during racing. A second issue is the lack of "dish" on the wheel, all the controls stick out in front of the wheel rim by quite a bit, and if you are drifting or rallying you can actually catch on them as the wheel whips around. All that said, the build quality is excellent, and with a button cap set and some choice LED lighting setups they will look pretty darn good. Not as nice as a CubeControls wheel though ;)
Oh the Cube Controls ones look amazing but different price range to be fair, hopefully an Invicta button box to compete with it soon 🤞🏼I also got the big hand curse 😂 I think as time goes on Asetek will expand on rims and probably offer a semi dish option possibly with a bit of girth 😉
I know this is random but my hands hurt from siam racing for 12 hours yesterday haha. Meanwhile im hear looking at wheels and grips. Makes sense right? Lol
😂😂😂 been years since I had the luxury of racing for 12 hours I’m lucky if I get 2 hours uninterrupted but yea always looking for that next thing 🤦🏼♂️😉
@@TheSimCircuit yeah I work from home! So I legit have plenty of time to play. And don't have to go to bed super early so nights make up for my time lol.
Yes matey take 2 tea spoons put one on each side of encoder and push down softly. Comes off very easy just make sure you lift encoder straight up that’s why I say use 2 tea spoons rather than one 🙌🏻
They should have made them all black from the beginning! Or offer actual colors in 2024! Also should have had rgb buttons for the price. Even simagic and moza have rgb buttons!
100% agree with should have had black option from the outset & also colour kits seems easy enough to make. I actually like the RGB’s above the buttons but I think it’s cause all other wheels I own have rgb back lit buttons so it’s something different 🤷🏼♂️🙃
I agree with this statement somewhat yes but if you take the price you are paying then really not much else on market that is significantly better built in that price range. Yes you can get a GSI x-29 for $120 ish more but you sacrifice allot of inputs 🤷🏼♂️
@@jeffwertz2953no I don’t think that I have both, buttons and encoders on Forte wheels much better however the Neo wins with better shifters. Forte also wins with better quality grips & is the sturdier wheel of the 2 yes. Neo 100% best wheel for the money I don’t argue that but would not say it’s better than the forte in all areas
5% DISCOUNT @ ASETEK using my code - simcircuit
Considering the innuendo Asetek made on their website over the thicker grips, i'd say your sense of humor is right up their (i.e. Andre's) alley.
Yea Andre seems to have a sense humor 😂 he comes out with some funny things. Thanks for watching matey 🙌🏻
Love the humour, e.g. best affiliate link disclaimer among the sim racing channels
Thanks matey much appreciated 🙌🏻

Must try doing it this way, but I do agree takes not even 5 min I could probably do it in 3 minutes if I don’t have to look for my allen Key first 😂
The drop down menu is a great idea!

On the GT Neo wheel how do change the encoders I don’t see any screws to take off. Is there a trick to it?

Disappointing. I know Asetek makes some nice products, but these have way too much plastic for the money.
