Lachlan Morton set out to complete the Tour de France route fully self-supported. No transfers, no peloton, no team cars. Just a man on his bike with a mission to raise funds for World Bicycle Relief, beat the peloton back to Paris, and endure no matter how hard he was tested.

EF Cannondale might not win more races than other teams, but there they are the coolest team ever. Hands down.
Lachlan is like the beating heart of cycling. A totally zen dude who embodies the spirit of cycling. EF is brilliant for supporting him.
With every new alternative racing video I see another layer of Lachlan's personality, perseverance and passion for endurance sport and cycling. Loved watching the moment when his dad came to surprise him on the last stage to Paris. Incredible work by the team who has been organising, filming, financing and editing this. I still can't believe how this young bloke was able to ride 5,509km and 66,831 vertical meters over 18 days (most of it on sandals/flat pedals) self supported plus raising a whopping $500k for WBR. Thank you, Lachlan!

It is so inspirational. Getting more people on bikes is the yellow jersey. Like he said, for many people in the world bikes are a tool to get food, water, get to places. That’s how I started my relationships with bikes.

This was good,very good. Loved every minute. The sandal thing...............I'm 65 and back on bikes doing 160 to 190 miles a week, after getting a new Ti Knee in 2015, then sorting out nerve/ankle/foot issues and going full time to flat pedals.
Nerve problem means no Calve muscles either..............doesn't seem to matter. I'm going better than I ever have, climbing stronger every month.
Some roadbikers have a hard time seeing my flat pedals and shoes, but they work great, the new stuff is nice.
"If you're not a little bit anxious about it, you're not biting off enough, I think". Repeating this to myself this year ...
