THE LEGO CHARACTER??

b b b b b b b b b b b b b b bb b b
I’ve seen the movie, and it’s a fictional story representing communism. The main character, a sad, poor man, is shown living in a depressing environment where everything is manipulated by the government or some high authority. There is a figure called Big Brother, and his face is shown on screens all over. The Apple guy as shown here in Fortnite is most definitely a parody of Big Brother. There is also a saying that says “Big Brother is always watching” or something like that, I can’t remember exactly what it said, but I’m pretty sure it’s close to that. The main character has a journal, which he explains how manipulative the government is. He rights something on how everything is the way it is, using 2 + 2 = 4 as an example. 2 and 2 make 4, that’s the truth, that’s the way it is, and there’s no denying, but the government doesn’t want that. The government wants the people to believe what they want them to believe, so they change the facts and turn false facts into true facts and start to do nonsense just so they can gain control and obedience in the people. At the end of the movie, the main character was forced to believe in lies, which he kept refusing, until after too much torture, he gives up. A guy who was part of the government was using his 2 + 2 = 4 example, and was forcing him to say that 2 + 2 = 5, basically showing us how manipulative they are in putting lies just to gain control. The government doesn’t care about the facts and only wants what it wants. We can’t deny that 2 + 2 = 4, but the government wants that to change that. If they want it to be 5, then they will make it 5 and won’t leave you in peace unless you say it is 5.
So what does this have to do with Fortnite? Honestly, the only thing I got was that the same way Big Brother and the high authority in the 1984 story was manipulative and communist, Apple is too. Probably. The movie was very dark and super sexual, so I felt way too scared and disgusted to even know exactly what was going on or to try to find the comparison with Apple and Epic Games. All that stuff I said could be wrong. I haven’t seen that movie since 2020, a little bit after all this was announced, so I probably got a lot of details wrong. All of this just came from memory, at the memory is blurred in many areas. I’m hoping that even with the little memory and little understanding I have, that it makes this whole situation make some sense. It makes sense to me, so I’m hoping it’s the same for you. Also I probably had a lot of grammar errors because that unfortunately ALWAYS happens when I write comments, but I’m too lazy to go back, so make the best with what you’ve got.

Also the App Store having less of a monopoly as far as downloading apps go on iPhone, or at least being forced to use more consumer-friendly policies and having to change or remove their more anti-competition policies for App Store developers and publishers. u mean billion -> trillion?
Apple is in the trillions not the billions
*laughs in George Orwell*
@@LoganGamings no
Yeah because this billion dollar company was getting scammed by apple who were taking 70% of their money off of V-bucks, and obviously apple is obligated to take a small cut, otherwise what's the point, but apple (a billion dollar company that only cares about money) was taking a massive amount of their money. So Epic Games trying to be a good company and not get scammed made a way for players to get their V-bucks off of codes and websites that were specifically made for mobile devices so that apple didn't steal their money, but then apple found out about this, and because all they want is money off of Fortnite and they don't care about their users, so when they stopped getting money they decided to kick Fortnite off the app store entirely, getting rid of millions of fornite accounts, because again they don't give a crap about their users. All they want is money.
So in conclusion Epic Games is a freedom fighter that cares about their users, and when they were getting scammed out of 70% of their money they decided to make a new way so that they could still earn their money that they earned by making an amazing free game that isn't pay to win, and u only have to pay to look cool and have no competitive advantage because of the money you spend. And one more time for the people in the back Apple only cares about money and tried to scam them out of 70% of their money.

Learn about the lawsuit and about the background info then comment bastard
@@pr1m2ry24 I think you need to look into the background more. Fortnite was definitely the villain of the situation, they broke the rules that were clearly in place and then got angry when they did. The whole reason they did this was to get more money.
@@Sebloft nope understand little boy, epic games wants freedom from the apple store and broke the rules on purpose for this event to occur. Think about it is there any other App Store on iOS devices other than the apple store? Epic is trying to prove that apple has monopolistic behaviors and that due to no competition they believe that 30% commission is way too much.
@@pr1m2ry24 But they don't want freedom from the apple store, they want to get rid of that 30% to make more money. If they wanted to be free from the store they would've withdrawn the game, rather than breaking the rules and being kicked out. Although I am often very supportive of epic I believe they made a few mistakes in this. I understand if your opinion is different to mine and I also respect that.
@@pr1m2ry24 dude, the background info is that Epic told Apple that they were going to break the App Store TOS, which has not been changed since 2008 and then when they did and their app was removed they played victim. I’m not sure if you think it is free to run an app store, but it isn’t and Apple has to profit off of the sales made from said store. Google does this too with the Play Store. Now whether or not you might think 30% is an unfair tax is irrelevant because Apple is a private company and can make that decision.

@@GH0STM4NE Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 - 21 January 1950), known by his pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist, essayist, journalist and critic. His work is characterised by lucid prose, biting social criticism, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support of democratic socialism.
As a writer, Orwell produced literary criticism and poetry, fiction and polemical journalism; and is best known for the allegorical novella Animal Farm (1945) and the dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949). His non-fiction works, including The Road to Wigan Pier (1937), documenting his experience of working-class life in the north of England, and Homage to Catalonia (1938), an account of his experiences soldiering for the Republican faction of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), are as critically respected as his essays on politics and literature, language and culture. In 2008, The Times ranked George Orwell second among "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945".
Orwell's work remains influential in popular culture and in political culture, and the adjective "Orwellian"-describing totalitarian and authoritarian social practices-is part of the English language, like many of his neologisms, such as "Big Brother", "Thought Police", "Two Minutes Hate", "Room 101", "memory hole", "Newspeak", "doublethink", "proles", "unperson", and "thoughtcrime".

But children wouldn't know about some obscure Apple commercial made 30+ years ago
I think next season's theme is deep divin' and high flyn'

Yeah well we’re in 2020 rn so we’re talking about epic
Bc dio will have the power of the ice king to make it so you know how it felt
Anybody here in 2024
Apple: You violated our contract, so we are going to punish that.
Epic: *literally 1984 smh*
do you even know what the origin of the ad means
@@Fazen107 yup. i was just cracking a joke at epic mis-using the original ad.

Copied comment. Get a life.
The funniest part is that most of these kids haven’t even heard of, nor read the novel, “1984” by George Orwell!
Ikr
Well, sure, but they'll get to it when they hit the 8th grade.
We still get the idea of a totalitarian regime just fine though. It’s as if you don’t need to read 1984 to understand the reference.
i had to read it last year for school lmao
indeed. Great book about communist dystopias, mainly Stalin’s one with him being called “big brother” in the book.
Did anyone else get the noti but the video was private but had the same name is it just me
Same I also got
Yea

Ye haha
This is what Orwell really saw in the future
"Hey Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation! Stop acting like a Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation." Says Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation that wants more money.
This sounds like something Bill Wurtz would say.
Ptao Tom nah man I hate both, mainly I hate fortnite not because of the game but because of all the little 12 year olds that play it
@Ptao Tom well given what epic did to metro exodus, their awful customer service, and the fact they are partnered with tencent, yeah that makes alot of sense.
@@morganfoster3477 Tencent owns stock...there's a difference. Tencent owns stock in a LOT of things. Over 40 game companies alone. Some, substantially higher shares than they have of Epic.
Apple is a mult-trillion dollar company
"Don't let 2020 to become 1984"
-Tencent
The irony
Tencent doesn’t own epic, it has a minority shareholder in their company, tencent doesn’t control epic
@@Umbojug man they own 40 percent of the company that minority is pretty large
puppeteer that doesn’t mean they own the company or call the shots
@DynamicDuo It was no mistake. They had the lengthy lawsuit ready to file before they did this movie. It's a strategic move in an attempt to have hte US government financially hurt their competitors AND force apple to allow epic games marketplace.
4 years later coming back to this it funny that they just had to mock off the 1984 apple Macintosh commercial just for a Apple vs epic trailer and change the words to let every Fortnite fan know whats happening
