That elbow making process is... baffling. I had to watch it a couple of times and it still mystifies me.
But watching tubes and spirals roll around is so hypnotising. Well shot!
This channel is massively underrated, and I'm so happy I finally discovered it. I really enjoy the soundtrack and pacing of your videos, it sets you apart from others like How it's Made. Please never start adding soulless music!

The elbow joint machine cuts away conic sections of the pipe and creates "sheet metal seams" in the creases you see at regular intervals. It's a technique to rejoin the pieces by cleverly folding and compressing the metal rather than using welding or fasteners.

Pretty clever to do it all in one setup by holding both ends while cutting so that the cut end can simply be rotated 180° to create the bend.
I see, so it gets cut, both edges clamped, rotated and then crimped back together by one machine. I thought it was just crimping more material on one side to force it to bend until i read your post. Thanks.
As an engineer in the HVAC industry, I really enjoyed this video and the one on valves the other week. :)

Ft Worth Texas has a factory building the same sheet metal ductwork as this place is doing and I’ve been there hundreds of times to pick up vent pipe and 90s and roof vents and also custom insulated ducts for HVAC that we needed for new installations and jobs.
Thanks FM! I'm building my first home at the moment and when the air conditioning ducting went in, I wondered how the ducting was made. Now I know!

Elbow or l shape forming: you said you didn’t have the English.
It is cutting, then folding, the pushing up, new section, cutting, rotating, folding the seam, welding, then the next section. All to make a 3 , 4 or 5 part elbow or “L” shape tube. ..or duct.

У нас в Новосибирке тоже есть преприятие по производству воздуховодов, процесс во многом схож, только вод сами воздуховоды (прямик) помимо швов имеют рёбра жёскости, поэтому воздуховод смотрится лучше и прочнее.
