First of all, kudos to Dmitri Valencia for all your patience and hard work in posting these videos. They give us insights on how your government build roads. I can't help notice the posted speed limit in the skyway of 80 kph or just 49 mph. All the celebrations and excitement for mediocre-design highway. And the public is all thumbs up on this? A poorly designed highway that drains to another poorly designed expressway, the NLEX. Both charges a lot to motorists. What happens when it becomes fully operational. It will get crowded quickly and the speed will crawl to just the same speed of EDSA and the benefits will be negated. All because the design speed was too low. In the US, you don't pay toll fees for that speed. It's not an expressway speed. It's a regular county road speed. An interstate highway in NC or anywhere in the US is built for design speeds of around 70 mph or 130 kph and with plenty of space for future expansion. And it's free. That's driving with dignity for the public Your government should design and construct free regular highways at design speed of 50 mph or higher. Only the moneyed car owners will be able to afford those skyway tolls. People should ask for better infrastructure from your leaders in order to live with dignity.

I wonder why there's no trucks in Skyway System...is this rule imposed due to unfinished construction things along Skyway system (the extension SB and SS3 unfinished ramps)? I hope the allignment is safe for trucks tho... Coz Wiyoto-Wiyono Toll Road are trucks' main road from Cawang to Tanjung Priok Harbor... and I think Skyway will be the same due to the same Sosrobahu technique of construction. (for Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Toll Road, well, the reason is only 2 exit points along that 36km-stretch, it'll be difficult to evacuate stalled/accidented vehicles, especially trucks or buses (which I can say, Indonesian truck/bus drivers are pretty bad on the road) -the laybys are very lack tho-. That's pretty bad for EDSA Decongestion Program, especially if the NLEX Connector (which built to redirect trucks from/to harbour to/from south) has been finished and connected to Skyway System... I hope that thing will change...
There are no trucks in the skyway system I think its because the skyway system only priroritizes and accomodates light vehicles and also maybe heavy trucks might use the skyway which will lead to some bug cracks that will form. But you have a point because the NLEX SLEX CONNECTOR PROJECT will priroritize trucks but since it is connected to the skyway pandacan interchange, trucks will go down in thw españa interchange.
@@Geryonsama_05 that's what I thought. Kinda unreasonal tho since the stretch from Alabang to Pandacan are quite smooth, the sharp turn is only in Quirino-Osmenia Intersection Area (for going to NLEX connector, plus a new-to-build sharp turn past Pandacan JCT to the north, utilising PNR railline, as Skyway-NLEX Connector stretch)
@@Geryonsama_05 and who gives them an idea for median-shrinking and shoulder lanes removal for new lane? And it's supporting more to SB drivers, which I can tell, that could make new bottleneck in Cupang when 3 lanes from Skyway extension NB merge with 2 lanes from old Skyway NB (1 lane from new Alabang Viaduct link and 1 lane from old Skyway-South Station link) TO TWO LANES from Cupang to Sucat.
