    Today was my first chance to correcting my putter head. While I didn’t make every putt,
    the ones I missed were
    super close. Didn’t push one putt the entire round. HUGE improvement for me.
    I cannot thank you enough!

    Ben Crenshaw actually told everyone how he made so many putts many years ago. And it is actually simple. Ultra light grip, release the putter (swing it). It works because inertia alone is controlling the putter face. It take the human being OUT of the putt. A human being is not capable of steering the face to the degree of precision needed. Arnie actually talked about using "zero tension" as well. A putter will not swing on it's own until zero tension is achieved. Ben actually had a piss poor stroke but he still made everything. Some people say Tiger learned from Ben as well.

    This was the FINEST
    putting lesson I’ve ever had. Lost count of how many Pro lessons I’ve had. A couple of years ago the teenage son of my friend was in our foursome. Soon after we started he politely told me I was pulling (?) my putts. I had no idea what he meant. I have a BAD habit of missing very short putts. I now understand it’s most likely because I keep the toe up! You made the problem crystal clear and I know it will be a major improvement in my game! Words cannot thank you enough!

    Another great informative video to take to the course. Watched a worm view of a pro golfer today. Before the ball hit the hole I said he is gonna miss it his putter is toe up. Your video is spot on.

    Are you 50/50 weight balance on these short ones or slightly on the front foot?

    • @misteroneputt
      @misteroneputt  Месяц назад

      @@RonBaker456 I’m personally 60/40 on the back foot. I think it helps get the ball rolling. That’s a personal preference. But I wouldn’t be weight forward. That promotes hitting slightly down on the ball.

    Would it be possible to do a summary at the end of the videos, just helps with retaining the info as i get lost if there is too much talking (noise) i have a learning issue of some kind.

    Surprised there’s no mention here of firmness of grip. For years I used a very firm grip and was pulling a lot of putts, but at some point someone suggested loosening my grip and I immediately started hitting my putts straighter with more consistency.

    • @misteroneputt
      @misteroneputt  Год назад

      I’ve done a number of videos on grip, and probably should have added some comments and thoughts on that here as well. I find lots of people grip either over firm, or they exaggerate and get way too loose.

    How do you hold the putter is it like Paul Runyon

    • @misteroneputt
      @misteroneputt  Год назад +4

      Yes exactly. I actually had that in this video to talk about how we get too much wrist in the stroke and an underneath Runyon style grip prevents that. But I edited it out for fear the video was too long and that could make a good video on it’s own

      I use Paul's grip on my putter. He was a brilliant short game golfer and instructor. This gentleman brings to life the current day golf instruction that really hits a home run. Thanks for the video.

    Also keep in mind distance,
    Over 8ft all amateurs are only going to make every second putt, at best.mostly 1 /4
