Thanks so much for replying, i finally got it working just like the video. This is just what i was trying to do. It works great, instantaneously, appreciate the reply and video. Thanks
Thanks for posting this. I watched your wha video too! I play live with S gear and I love it. Any other ideas, tips or examples are welcomed. My thing is that I don't use foot pedals anymore. I use an Akai Lpd8 soft pad midi switcher. I activate with my fingers to switch sounds. It works ok but I may start using a larger pad control unit to have 16 preset sounds at my fingertips.
Hello, thanks for the video, I’m just a beginner, i do have s gear and a a/b y box and can you tell me how you got two instances of s gear running at the same time . I cannot figure out how to do it. Lol, also my second question is i have a pod go floor board box , and i have the cable that looks like a. Printer cable on one end (plugged in to the pod go and the other which has a usb connection going into my Mac. I’ve tried putting both to the same MIDI change but it still won’t communicate to switch the presets in s gear. I don’t understand why. Thanks.
Hi, to open a new instance of S-Gear, once you have opened your first, you go back to the S-Gear icon (the one you probably used to start the first session) and double click on it again. You will probably notice a volume increase, but no worries as it is normal. Then I set each instance to a different preset. With regards to the Pod Go, the Line6 footswitch I have has the same cable, but I have never used the Pod Go so can't help on that, but I presume you should be able to select it as a MIDI device controller?
In the case of the Line6 unit, it is a USB cable. Other devices need a midi cable connected to an audio interface that can receive a midi signal or cable.

Great to hear, and you are very welcome!
awesome explanation and great tones ! thanks
Glad you liked, and thanks!
This is so good: both the wah switching and what you do with the dual clean tone. Sounds great, even over the phone. Thanks for the ideas!
You are very welcome! Glad you liked it. Cheers!
Wow! Never would have thought this.
Glad this can be of help!

How do you hook up midi to the computer?thanks

Why don't you use Gig Performer (VST host), I switch S-Gear presets with a MIDI footswitch in rackspaces, ZERO latency.
Gig Performer is expensive for what I need it for and this is a simple trick that works for me. Cheers!
