Super awesome. I’ve done gigs with S-gear and a USB-based footswitch.

Do you get any lagging? And how do you avoid it when doing a live gig?

@@georgealberto1985 If you set the buffer right it’s fine. But I wouldn’t rely on it as a first choice.

Who needs amps and pedals when you can have this sound and flexibility! Great stuff

I can't get my airstep to work with S-Gear. I don't know what I'm doing wrong

Very cool! Do the fx trails spillover when changing presets/bypassing?

Hi David, Mike here from Scuffham Amps. Currently there is no spillover when changing presets. Perhaps we will introduce this at some point in future. What you can do right now is to switch delays and reverbs without the tails cutting off. There's a note on how to do this on page 62 of the user manual.

I guess this only works with the stand-alone version as Kontakt within Studio One 5 makes assigning bank change as hard as trigonometry

Very interesting. I use S Gear and am looking to add a wah/volume pedal into S Gear as well as change patches. I assume I have to buy the air step and a dedicated a wah/volume pedal. Does that work into expression input? Thanks and I love your other S Gear videos too.

Not at all an expert but I think you’d need an expression pedal (rather than a wah or volume pedal).

Will you review some fractal stuff? (FM3 or AxeFxIII?) thanks :)

Fractal don’t send stuff out for review. I’d be happy to do it and loads of people ask me to do it. If you know anyone at fractal or want to recommend me I’d be happy to.

A cheaper alternative? Airstep costs more than the software!

Line 6 FBV shortboard - lots of footswitches and a rocking pedal. Works with USB without any hassle, has a useful setup app. Built like a tank. I had a really good experience controlling Bias AMP/FX under Ableton with it.
