- Today me and @worldnomac took an overnight train to Lahore, Pakistan on the green line, we booked the whole cabin to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the journey through rural Pakistan where we spoke to locals and entertained ourselves throughout the journey.

Another recommendation that you should use Google translator or any other translator. It will help you to communicate as the guy told you how much that breakfast was for, not how many they making. Enjoy Lahore 😁
Rs 6550/- is the actual fare for 1 seat, so you guys had 4 seats this makes 6550*4= Rs 26200/- in total from Karachi to Lahore, you guys could buy 2 seats so the half fare for whole journey. But on the other hand paying double made sure that you guys have the whole compartment.
Paying for pakistani slowest and worst train is much expensive, it would be much better if u go from plane.

For all cabin. He booked complete cabin. He booked all Six seat's alone. No one enter in these cabin. Ok. For one person ticket price 6500 with breakfast lunch and dinner everything including the ticket price

It's absolutely fine to take food from train staff as it's complimentary and there is no harm in it.
You should of taken the sweet thats a traditional item from the area , and its sealed and packed in a container from a factory fresh its not contaminated or bad , but pretty damn good
WTF the dinner and breakfast are included in the ticket price, these meals officially given by the railways and free of cost, why don't you take it. Don't take anything from passengers.

I think some one had misguided you. In this train the food is free for persons travelling in business class. They give dinner, breakfast and lunch for free. Why you didn't take? Next time if you travel in train then book your seats in AC Sleeper in coupa of two.
Select tezgam or Karachi express. From lahore to Rawalpindi or vice versa select Non stop train in AC Parlour. Or if you select bus then go for Q Connect.

The food on the Greenline is actually good. You guys should have eaten meals on the train, they are part of the ticket.
The man cleaning was saying "meri bhi khencay" meaning he wanted you to take his picture.
In train traveling with business Class dinner and breakfast is totally free. Remember
Guys u paying too much to every one ..for porter ,tips etc .u just wasting too much money .
You should also go to the northern areas of Pakistan they are beautiful.

You should've opted for AC SLEEPER CLASS which is the highest class available in Pakistan Railways (you're in AC BUSINESS CLASS a grade lower) in which cabins are for 4 & 2 people, with attached washrooms with western toilets 🤷
The problem is westerners watching the video , would think the whole train looked like this and won’t even know that Business class exist
I think railways should change the name of this one from Business to something else. It feels misleading and people will naturally think it might be the best one

Hey so i dont know if the other option was available. However there is another train compartment option which has room for four people and has a washroom inside it. That may have a been cheaper option overall as you would have been paying for Four seats in total. In both cases, there are options for the sit-up style commode . Not sure if you were able to come across it
Yes, sleeper compartment for a family has more room for almost the same amount instead of this business class for 4 individuals.

one can get a 9 usd phone with a local sim which should work for international calls as well. Also when going on a 18 hour train journey just get nestle water and grab a couple of biryanis and curry from students biryani and tell the kitchen crew to heat them up if you don't want to try the food on the train.

One more thing is that food like from breakfast and meals lunch and dinner are included in the tickets cost when you paid for whole compartment... Regarding stomach issues then it's upto your choice which is sensible thing as yu are not accustomed for train meals ...

Currently temperature in the day is between 17 to 20 degree morning n evening from 13 to 9 degrees...
Regarding train tickets I would have advised you should have gone directly to Cantt Railway station to purchase cheaper tickets which could have been between 8000 to 12000 PKR but yu mentioned 33000 thousands which is really surprised to know ... There are compartment with a modern toilet within inside but yu guys saw common toilets which are not WC ... Regarding drinks like coka cola or pepsi should have purchased from Karachi station where you bought snacks biscuits. But arriving Lahore on train is a great experience and Yu will love to explore Lahore and Lahori foods cuisine Desi style... Keep enjoying cheers 👏👏👏

Yes, I miss travelling by train a lot. It's a whole new world of its own. After a long time I travelled in PR last year and was pleasantly surprised to find water in the bathrooms. Other than that I didn't expect much and carried my own liquid soap and tissue roll.

The worst mistake you did on the train was to keep the doors open.They keep on coming for tips and stuff.Morning tea is free of cost and the meals even.Secondly,the food in train is as hygienic/unhygienic as food outside the train.

Since you are going more north, I recommend you take a day trip to Peshawar. The food will be right up your street as it's not as spicy as the rest of Pakistan. Also, the people there are very friendly and welcoming. I suggest you watch the vlogs of peter santenello, he travelled all over Pakistan and showcased the culture of all the provinces of Pakistan.

Business Class of this train is compared to third class & worst class of American AMTRACK Train. Pakistan has the dirtiest trains ever just like Pakistanis. The guy who was talking food and putting in flat tray did not wear gloves ..VERY DIRTY.

Pak. Ac coach looks very similar to our Indian Ac coach. I mean it has all that facilitates which an Indian Ac coach has in it. From a resting place to toilets to pantry. Good work 👍 Pak. Railways keep it up.

To be honest, the train journey was very expensive, you refused but the food was included.
Very good decision on not drinking that pepsi which was not properly capped or seal was broken. This thing happens with the locals too, Random person shows up and offers any kind of drink which would be filled with some kind of chemical which puts the person to sleep who drinks it, so that they can steal their belongings who went to sleep.
