Hello James! This reminds me of the Blue Beetle movie, where the director was talking about how Hispanic people get stereotyped in movies, by "white directors!" Yet what does he do? He portrays the uncle as a stereotypical older Hispanic man. And the Grandmother a Guerilla. It's crazy! It just emphasizes a lack of talent by Writers, Directors, and so called artists, who push this nonsense.
And that's what happens, when you look at everything through an "Identitarian lens." You want to "think outside the box" on how to represent a certain group, to show the authentic experience of said group, without resorting to stereotypes, but when they try, they always end up doing the most stereotypical things to "spotlight" that group, even more so than the type of people they claim always do. And what makes it all so funny, is that they don't even see themselves doing it. This is why none of their DEI creations ever work out. Thanks for your thoughts, as always.
