My wife is an expert at canning I kid you not. She told me to tell you ... you did everything correctly and safely. I bought my wife an All American years ago, and she loves it. Actually, we have 3. You did a great job. Thanks so much for keeping it simple, and correct. Oh, my wife said to tell those who are new to canning to get the "Ball Canning Book". It's like the Bible for canning.

@@pnwfarmdog4090 You cannot go wrong by using that book. There are a lot of hacks out there trying to teach people how to can, but unsafe...."The Ball Canning Book" will keep you safe, and teach you the proper way to can. Thanks for your comment.

@@jimmyrants4342 that’s very true, there’s a lot out there on canning. Using that book after watching the videos helps to make sure I’ve got the right time and pressure. Had a coworker whose wife was getting into canning and recommended the big ball book that I had. She did have the one you buy at the Walmart store.

Hopefully I can get my hands on at least one of them.

I remember my mom and grandma canning when I was young. They did another step that I haven't seen you do, and it may have been just something she figured out over time. But the new box of flats or lids as you call them she would put in a pot of hot water on the stove to soften the rubber seal on the lid and take them out one by one with tongs and sit on top of the jar and then spend the ring on. They said the softened rubber seal on the flat with seal much more reliable because it was warmer and flexible and would really sit down good and evenly.

@@colleenahrens8750 I used fresh because I have some in the garden growing. They are perennial so they grow all year. For a big pot I think I added 5 or 6 sprigs of rosemary and the same as the thyme. You can add less at first and see if you like it. I love rosemary even for rice and grilled meat. It just makes the dishes taste so fancy and smell good. Besides, they have great health benefits. 😊

Good video. There are two things, which you did not touch on, which I will here:
    1. As the jars cool, you will likely hear the lids move toward the bottom of the jar as the cooling creates a vacuum within. You will hear a little click or tink sound. This is normal and actually something I always look forward to hearing. You don't always hear it, but if you do, just know it's okay.
    2. Although the food inside the jars is preserved and could be eaten raw without cooking, I and most other people always cook the stuff before we eat it. If by chance there was any spoilage you did not see or smell when you opened the jar, cooking it gives you a better chance of not getting sick.
Always remember to first look at your jar from all sides to see if there are any discolored areas or spots on the contents. Also, sniff it with your nose. If it smells bad, DO NOT EAT IT. Toss it in your compost pile or, if you keep worms, like I do, give them a go at it. It won't hurt them.

Judging by the appearance of your jars, you may not have added a splash of vinegar into your canning water. If you have hard water, save yourself the scrubbing and add vinegar.
I lift my canned jars by the lid and lift them gently a couple of inches off of the counter, if the lid doesn’t pop off in your hand, the seal is good.

The Gospel for the New Testament Church is 1 Cor. 15: 1-4 KJV. Rom. 10: 1-21 KJV and Rom. 3: 25 KJV explains it further.
It's what Christ did for us that we're saved and it's by faith alone, not works. We're forgiven for all sins by Christ's shed blood.
