If it's any consolation, I think the extra scraping on Sweet's face/body made it seem like she was glowing from the sun, so I liked haha! I love hearing you talk about your characters! It's so fun to see your passion for them, and it makes me feel better about obsessing over my OCs lol! Another amazing video!

@@jelahanimates7693 I lost complete motivation to draw and have to force myself to hold a pen but ya I still try and draw daily although very little. Not even uploading any RUclips videos of my drawing now. Trying to do better !
I found it funny when you starting talking about the issues you had with the microns because while I was watching I was so impressed and really just enjoying how the inking looked and thought to myself "maybe I should take inktober more seriously this year" lol
ahaha, inktober is so fun!! I participated in it a lot over the years, although I did start out using microns when I was in my mid-teens way before inktober became a thing :P
Itwas really intersting to learn more about your characters! The final redult is stunning, I really like the use of screentone and than scraping it, made the work so much more unique and interesting!

I remember the original boy/girl Sweet & Zero characters! I miss those two, they seemed like such sweet dorks and good friends to Fiona and Kaku! Maybe they can show up as random background cameos in the comic at some point :,)

Honestly I love making mistakes. I make thousands per piece.
The real artistry comes in when you can literally take a bad situation and turn it into a gorgeous piece.
I also find it absolutely amazing that she sees mistakes in her art, because I only see a clean end result.
I guess the point is, we should always power through the "mistakes" because we still have that chance to make it better.
Thank you! I totally agree :) I've been drawing mostly on paper since a young age, and I think all the millions of mistakes I had to just roll with really took me to where I am today in terms of skill.

I heard the sirens in the background of the audio and I legit had to pause and check if it was coming from my end cuz I also get a ton of sirens during the day lol, struggles of living in downtown toronto. Also like a minute after I paused the video a siren went off on my end for real so just goes to show T^T

what size did you use for the fineliner?
I used 005 and 01, and one of the chisel tip ones for thicker outlines.

That must take near absolute confidence in ones skills. I'd have to print numerous copies just to dare to do inks. I tried using screen tones back in the early 80's but I was always too heavy-handed.
I think being fearless at the start, and then just figuring out workarounds for mistakes is what builds confidence though xD
