    you can often find Merz B stuff on sale, especially in multipacks, so that's one way to knock down the price. I think what they do offer that other brands don't are some pretty interesting fits, + there's just something to the fabric that makes you wanna constantly run your fingers over it. it also molds nicely to your body since it's so stretchy and bouncy

      I agree I think I need to be on the sales hunt. Honestly best fitting of my shirts.

    I’m also a shorter dude and I’m willing to invest in an expensive t shirt if it hits that perfect vertical length - is there any rival or alternative to this one out there in that specific category? Great video, very informative!

    I've been thinking about getting one of these or even the 215. I mainly wear solid shirts and recently got two Lady in White Co. which are great. They are "pricey" and with that being said Comfort Colors has been my go to, but I do notice the back of the neck folding in after sometime. Love hearing you say Velva Sheen is a great option so perhaps I'll look into them and Healthknit.

    • @JamesHerlihy
      @JamesHerlihy  6 месяцев назад

      Yeah I think all of them are great. Really like lady white. The 215 is great but just a little expensive right now.

    I checked their website and to me it seems their women's tshirts are not loopwheeled, is there a particular reason for that?

    • @JamesHerlihy
      @JamesHerlihy  5 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure, maybe because they are good basics. I would say a men's small fits pretty closed to a women's sizing

    Check out Schiesser. Another German brand. Availability is sometimes difficult. When Mr. Porter carries it I stock up. They are more of an underwear company. But they have the most comfortable Tees, Henleys, tanks and their boxer briefs are sublime. They are the best. I don't know what cotton they use for their boxer briefs but they are incredible, especially in the summer months in California.

    you should try Girelli Bruni, slimmer fit, long, and exceptional cotton - in a different league than Merz
    or Olderbest for a loop wheel shirt that's half the price than Merz

    • @krisjones4051
      @krisjones4051 3 месяца назад

      Girelli is definitely more of a “dressy” shirt with a glossy finish to it and twice the price of Merz. Merz has a soft hand feel, but definitely more texture and weight.

  • @lahuk1194

    I'm willing to pay more for a good quality top, but Merz's prices are a lot. I've found another manufactorer (also German, also a revived brand, funny enough) called "Pike Brothers". They have tubular knit t-shirts for €49 for a 2-pack. I can't find any reviews on them and I haven't bought any so I don't if they're any good or not, but it seems far more fair a price.

    • @JamesHerlihy

    In first season of "The Bear" Carmy is wearing Whitesville Quali-T shirts. Then costume department moved to Merz B.
