That’s a fair point! I’ve considered that but I’m not sure what the rules are around using others’ gameplay. Can I just use their stream content and commentate over it? Maybe it’s legal but just a bit bad manners? I could try asking them first. I’ll have to look into it because I also think that would be a good video.
@@bavinngames Its not bad manners to review someone else's replay, especially if you're just recording using the in-game replay function. If you're recording off their stream it may be bad manners to do so without asking, but it would still be fair use with commentary. If you still feel bad about it you can just credit the player you're vod reviewing. I think there is also a streamer mode in the options if you want to hide player names.
@@azmosam4572 All good points, in one of my next videos I think I'll analyze a pro game. Still probably gonna ask for permission from the player though, just to be safe!
Great vid, next time it might be better to show a replay where you arent stomping on the enemies. I feel like many youtuberes keep showing "instructive" games like this one. I think it would be way more useful to look at a replay of a game where things dont go as well and you actually have to make good decisions in order to win an equal game.
That’s a valid criticism. I’ll definitely try showing games like that in the future. My main reasoning for showing a game like this is to showcase the strength of the build. I want people to see its potential to stomp. I realize this can be a bit one-dimensional though. Thank you for the feedback:)
Also I'd like to point out that McGinnis has the 2nd WORST winrate in high ELO (according to the latest data from deadlocktracker)... so it's definitely not easy to do well with her right now... but this build should help.
Hope the feedback n YT gods have been favorable to ya. I think I would personally prefer either cutting out the "speed up parts" or just leaving them as is with either no commentary or commentary. But in general, I think having a more condensed video for these build showcase style of videos would be more preferable to myself and I would suspect the same goes for YT metrics in terms of engagement, while also still filling out a respectable average watch time. ☮ Thx for the Mcgussy content :3 I have always try to avoid telsa bullets but its clear to me now its worth considering in a lot of cases as a teamfight and farming item. esp. since the turret nerfs.
No problem! I'm glad the video could help in some way:) And thanks for the feedback on the sped up parts. It's a tough balance because I don't want to cut out any 'context' i.e. farming/movement/etc but also wanna keep the video to a reasonable length. Maybe I could try making the sped up parts 300 or 400% instead of just 200%. That way, it'll still show people what I'm doing without taking up as much time.
@A_Jolly_Walrus it's more about clearing wave and jungle camps quickly for me, you can really gain a soul advantage with it on her if you get it quickly.
frosty said it well. Also to add, the synergy with bullet res shredder is really nice. Basically makes enemies take 12% more damage on top of the shocks.
Depends on the matchup, but usually turrets if they have flyer heroes (vindicta/talon/etc). You still get 26% on the non-imbued abilities so even if you choose the wrong ability, you're still getting great value.
fleet is great! I get it pretty often. Sometimes I like to just get one 1250 weapon item though and I’ve been liking active reload a lot lately. That’s just preference though. Melee charge is a solid option but it’s been nerfed a lot lately so idk if it’s worth it currently. I just like to hit my power spike from tesla bullet early tbh. That first 3000 item is always huge in pretty much any build.
@bavinngames i get that but doesnt that change your playstyle allot because of fleetfoot passively making you not lose any speed when firing and Mcginnis is very very slow? Do you play more defensively then and try stay under your healing ability?
@@A_Jolly_Walrus In my experience, McG is already one of the most immobile heroes in the game and fleet doesn't really change that. You're correct that it's kind of a different playstyle. I find myself kind of baiting enemies into me who think they can duel me. Then when they realize they're losing, I block off their escape. So MS isn't much of a factor here. Wall is a big reason why fleet isn't totally needed. If you block someone in with wall, you don't really need to move so the extra MS isn't needed. I guess to put it simply McGinnis is just better at locking enemies in place than chasing them down. Once you're 'online' with a few 3000 items, you generally can stand your ground versus anyone if you can just keep shooting and active reload really helps with this. It really comes down to personal preference though, fleet feels really nice to play with so I see how it's hard to pass up.
Noted! I was trying to emphasize certain points without overloading the video with full captions. Would you prefer full baked-in captions or have the emphasized captions stay on screen longer? Or just add a few more words around the emphasized sections to give context?
@bavinngames Captions at the bottom of the screen are reading captions and should mostly be longer sentences instead of single words. If you wanna bring emphasis on something, moving the captions to the middle of the screen to catch attention is the way to go. You can experiment with different styles but most of your captions should be reading ones. Otherwise it gets really tiring to follow the captions. It's good to have captions since people might watch your videos on mute. Especially shorts or tiktoks, there's people who watch it on mute on the train because they refuse to bring headphones with them Also you can start taking the best learning moments from each video and putting out shorts. Shorts always have more reach than videos so doing both grows your channel faster. Use the link thing to link back to your videos so those interested can watch the full thing. You do a few but imo u can do more of them, shorts are low effort so might as well pump more of them out
@@bavinngames Also another thing i feel is underrated by subtitlers is using images. Like schrodinger lee, where the person talking has an accompanying anime face. Probably dont copy his style directly since his is more built for shorts. But like adding yr channel picture so instead of a faceless voice, your channel pfp is attached to the subtitles. Shroud editor adds twitch emojis just to spice up the subtitles. But tbf subtitles are needed there since its multiple people talking so labeling who said what helps alot Probably dont need to go so hard on subtitles but its up 2 u
easily the best deadlock content on yt
I think it would be more useful to do a vod review of the player who made the build’s gameplay

Love the gameplay vids
Good stuff, I really like rushing tesla on her, glad to see that its actually being done at a high level too. Keep up the grind sir! 🍻
Why rush tesla? Ive tried it in demo but it doesnt really output allot of damage for me

Team keep the squeaks
bro flexing the 3 kills lmao i love you
hahahah i made 3 thumbnails, one of them shows the KDA… look at those assists though! 😂
improved reach on turret or wall?

lmaoooo
Not a fan of the high pitched audio since you asked, love your vids tho keep it up
Thanks! And noted, I think i’ll pitch-correct any sped-up parts for future vids

If its possible can you subtitle in sentences or half sentences. no one reads by getting jumpscared by singular words one at a time
