He went to the Sun. His guitar skills protected him from the heat and radiation. On the contrary the heat from his shredding caused the suns temperature to temporarily rise while he was recording.
those of you that say this has no soul are so mistaken. I've been a classical musician for years, and what he has done with this piece defiantly has soul. Perhaps your judging him on his "stage presence"? Just listen, especially around 1:15 Good job Dan Love your classical homage pieces!
i m not that good in guitar.. but thats a baby stuff for me to play.. only hitting note to note.. real soul is when u transpose them and add some chords.. like classical guitarist.. and this song is not even fast.. but hard when u play the rythm aswell
Bullo Max i dont upload videos doesnt mean i cant.. this is weird buddy.. its like people commenting in justin beiber songs like if you can sing better than him then y dont u upload.. i m not praising myself.. i am not great.. but as a musician i can say what is easy what is hard.. believe me or not but its easy.. i havent learnt that piece still i can play because of my hearing skills.. rather than telling me to upload, ask any good guitarist if it is easy..
He would be furious for playing this for mainly 2 reasons 1-He played it faster than it is supposed to be 2-He hates this piece because it's very popular
I'm a big fan of both electric guitar/rock music and also classical music. I have to say this is one of my favorite classical pieces and hearing this makes me happy. Thanks for the good music.
Dude. Absolutely phenomenal playing and arrangement! I can only hope that it is at least as fun to play as it was for me to watch/listen. Outstanding!!
I know I must have said it before but apart from the amazing guitar you play the arrangement is nothing short of world class. Time and effort put into updating any classic is well worth while and this version is straight out of the top drawer.
@DanMummSolo So many people do not realize how much practice goes into music like this......I am working on a couple of pieces of Classical myself....I am playing with my fingers however...pieces such as Capricho Arabe and Recuerdos De La Alhambra.....Playing any piece of music is different than playing it with the "respect" that it deserves. Keep up the hard work man....GOD bless!!!
Absolutely amazing mate, Professionalism and great taste is a great mix. No doubt you have many talents other than your guitar exploits and it shows with this great arrangement.
my goodness...Jason Becker and Vinnie Moore would be so proud...you damn near mastered your instrument and seem to take it seriously, which is the key....man, Ive been playing 20 years, and my shredding is ok but kinda sloppy, because I didn't practice correctly and wasn't motivated enough.
this is amazing anyone who actually plays knows the execution for something like this is incredibly difficult & with the style he is using he has very sensitive pickups so even the lightest touch on a string is heard
PURE AWESOMENESS MAN!! Brilliant Work!! The sweep picking at 2:30 was way too epic. Would be awesome if you could upload the backing track in the description please :-) Would be nice to try jamming to it. Cheers Bud
hey and which scales would you recomend in practising? I am able to play Yngwie Malmsteen songs, like Far beyond the Sun and i think its time for me to start writing my own music in neo-classical metal... so basicly scales that you recommend pls? :D and exercises on how to build speed :D
Fantastic composition and playing! Consider yourself a standard bearer among would-be neoclassical guitarists. There are so many dudes out there that just try to play fast and emulate yngwie, without paying attention to rhythm or other important things.
Hell yea. I normally don't like neoclassical music, at least not as much as I did in my teens. But Liszt is one of my all time favorite composers, and this is awesome. The only thing missing is a bunch of trans siberian orchestra esque lights and pyrotechnics.
Can someone explain to me why electric guitars have their nobs on one angled surface where acoustic guitars have theirs on either side of straight surfaces?
He went to the Sun. His guitar skills protected him from the heat and radiation. On the contrary the heat from his shredding caused the suns temperature to temporarily rise while he was recording.
Hey I was looking for an acoustic version but this is honestly sick as hell
also howdy im 8 years too late
same, I was watching a Vinheteiro video and I searched for a guitar version. Nice to see a fresh comment here as well :)
He did a metal version too 4 years ago.
Howdy do buckeroo
Try 10
i'm 12 years late
those of you that say this has no soul are so mistaken. I've been a classical musician for years, and what he has done with this piece defiantly has soul. Perhaps your judging him on his "stage presence"? Just listen, especially around 1:15
Good job Dan Love your classical homage pieces!
Soul is the excuse for mediocrity
i m not that good in guitar.. but thats a baby stuff for me to play.. only hitting note to note.. real soul is when u transpose them and add some chords.. like classical guitarist.. and this song is not even fast.. but hard when u play the rythm aswell
Sylvester oh come on then show us Ur version
Bullo Max i dont upload videos doesnt mean i cant.. this is weird buddy.. its like people commenting in justin beiber songs like if you can sing better than him then y dont u upload.. i m not praising myself.. i am not great.. but as a musician i can say what is easy what is hard.. believe me or not but its easy.. i havent learnt that piece still i can play because of my hearing skills.. rather than telling me to upload, ask any good guitarist if it is easy..
Bullo Max he is just hitting the notes one by one.. listen classical piece in electric guitar and in flamenco.. you will understand the difference..
I knew this song would kick ass metallicized, and you NAILED IT!!
No word can be close to say how impressed I am....except what I just said.
lol people always used to say i was weird because i like metal and classical music, im not the only one.
bro same
You are not alone! Cheers
Same here. The core of metal is classical music though so it makes sense.
cool.
I like virtually all music. Especially heroic music like Aot anime soundtrack.
Classical metal is f$&@ing awesome 🤘🏻

Franz Liszt would love this.
erm no?
He wouldn't hate it... thats for sure
he'd be like "Dude! DUDE! I WTFed so hard! But that was freaking awesome!"
awesomegreenlantern idts
He would be furious for playing this for mainly 2 reasons
1-He played it faster than it is supposed to be
2-He hates this piece because it's very popular
It' not just your guitar playing that is awesome, but I love the back track too.
Its amazing what's even more amazing is how much of this stuff was in are old cartoons and how much we learned without knowing
Only 345,469 visits? lost faith in humanity
Don't tell me your parents wanted you to play classical guitar you wanted to play rock/metal guitar and you said right compromise BLOOMING FANTASTIC
BRILLIANT!!!!
Dan You are Awesome!!!
I'm a big fan of both electric guitar/rock music and also classical music. I have to say this is one of my favorite classical pieces and hearing this makes me happy. Thanks for the good music.
This has inspired me to make my own version of that on my classical guitar... SO AWESOME! However, all the aplaus should belong to Liszt.
Tom : "oh, you're approaching me?"
30 donkeys so far have disliked this amazing playing.
And i would like to ask the player if you could make it as a lesson and upload it . Thx
la musica clasica con una guitarra electrica queda demasiado buema
Dude. Absolutely phenomenal playing and arrangement! I can only hope that it is at least as fun to play as it was for me to watch/listen. Outstanding!!

Are you a fan of Ron Jarzombek at all? Your slides remind me a lot of his.
You're doing great!
Really great Job! Congrats! Have you ever tried something from Nocturnes?
hey and which scales would you recomend in practising? I am able to play Yngwie Malmsteen songs, like Far beyond the Sun and i think its time for me to start writing my own music in neo-classical metal... so basicly scales that you recommend pls? :D and exercises on how to build speed :D

You sir are FREKIN AWESOME! :D
Superb execution, wish I could do it myself. However you could try improving the guitar tone :)
Great playing! You should play Paganini's "Carnival of Venice"!
Fantastic composition and playing! Consider yourself a standard bearer among would-be neoclassical guitarists. There are so many dudes out there that just try to play fast and emulate yngwie, without paying attention to rhythm or other important things.
