@@stevekillgore9272 The bodies of all Necros who are killed in battle are gathered and taken to the Underverse to populate it. They replenish their numbers by conquering another world.
@@BlueCourtingBooks and that's a miserable system of logistics
The costume designs tho 😮 🔥
Still hoping for more Riddick.
Another trilogy of movies where the 2nd movie is better than the 1st
this movie really has aged quite well
The Necromongers are Space ISIS
compared to modern movies, it holds up well
Gen Z be depressed in 2021..... Imagine being born ANY other century than this one, the most comfortable one ever in recorded history
there will be means to overcome that in the future.
THRESHOLD! TAKE US TO THE THRESHOLD!
anytime anyone uses the word threshold this is what i think of, and have thought of for years. since the first time i ever saw this movie. sometimes i say it aloud....but no one gets it and i look like a crazy person.
@@Becky.Ray14 Same. What i wouldn't give for a room of people to chant that at the perfect moment lol.
But i kinda feel the same for any chant thing like that. 300, AUUUGHH! is another example.
Only a couple of movie scenes resonate through the years. The threshold chant is one. Another is the scene from TMNT where shredder honors a member of the foot.
What you call... Death.
@@jrid369 "hello...Clareese" "ill be back" "the hills are alive with the sound of music" "dont cry for me argentina"

I bow to no man,
but I do bow to my insect overlords.
The Covid religion makes you aware of how you deal with fear.
Its funny how Keith Urban's role as Skurge in the latest Thor movie looks a lot like his character here.
Edit: I mean Karl. Karl Urban. Sorry.
You know, when I saw Avengers: Infinity War I thought it was Linus Roache playing the Ebony Maw character. Sort of reprising the Purifier role. Just a coincidence I guess. Also, Linus Roache recently played a character in the Panos Cosmatos movie, Mandy. Panos...Thanos?? Funny, eh? Ok maybe not.
@@mephilatian They 100% ripped that out of riddick. Kinda dumbstruck at how similar it is.
icwiz You mean Karl Urban.
Keith is a famous singer and Karl is an actor
Stacks Malacks no they didn’t lmao. Explain to me how a character whose been around since the 60’s was ripped from a character who didn’t exist until the 2000’s
@@247Lilboy 😑 he meant in the movie
I BOW TO NO MAN!
You left out the best part. WTF?
how glorious their words... yet so spooky their looks and methods
I thought it was a fantastic movie, set a standard in this sort of film
*When I first saw this scene, I couldn't believe my eyes, because I was NOT expecting that!*
Although, I saw that random guy's death coming from a mile away... I still wasn't expecting some random guy to get his soul RIPPED RIGHT OUT OF HIS OWN DAMN BODY, and sent straight to hell! That's a nightmarish concept.
Looking back at it now, I realize... That what the King of the Necromongers did to that guy, WAS TECHNICALLY a mercy. If you think about it, he sent him to the Fear Monger's so called, "Underverse" which is basically their form of heaven.
Is it? As far as I can tell it's a form of hell and the beings that dwell there are trying to influence this reality by enforcing conversion to service and worship of them or die, which can't imagine those beings treating someone who rejected their authoritarian commands well when they find him in their hellscape
@@Dante-vf4sd well this is no mentiln of heavy or he'll in this universe of this film
Ok everyone. before i uploaded this one once again, i did one more review. It now shows the chant at 0:55. Please have a look and let me know. Thank you everyone.
dragonlordq The audio is perfect
Lord, thank you for this chant. I will take them to the threshold.
My feed knows my situation
So I’m watching this on Netflix and they cut out the lines “Are you familiar to me? Have we met on some distant field?…” Wtf?
The armour of the Lord marshall. Has upside down hearts on it. I always thought that meant hate. Turning love into it's opposite form. Hate.
Maybe.
Look up Spades though - It represents nobility and also swords.
Opposite of love is indifference.
Hate's opposite would be admiration.
@@rohesilmnelohe Indifference is in the centre between love and hate. Although if you don't love someone in the true sense of love as in the words of Jesus, you essentially hate them anyway.
@@Dante-vf4sd no. It isn't in between.
Hate is a fiery and passionate emotion and feeling. Just like love, but in different format and context.
Absolute indifference is the true opposite.
@@rohesilmnelohe Sure, hate is a fiery and passionate emotion brought about by extreme negative feeling toward another just as love is the exact opposite. Love seeks the best in all circumstances for others whilst hate weeks the worst, indifference the s in between because there's no feeling either way although like I stated previously indifference is ultimately a form of hate because it doesn't care about anyone's well-being
That guy who speaks for the leader reminds me on the ebony maw
"Your fries aren't ready, so just wait sir "

Oh man I just realized that dude is Dr. McCoy from the Star Trek movies.
A very young looking Karl Urban, just after his run as Eomer in the Lord of the Rings trilogy 😊

i'm wondering what happens to his soul? it seems he dump it on the ground
He send it to hell or underverse

Holy smokes Vaako is Dr McCoy from the new Star Trek? WTF
Bosnia,British armies conquered France,Finland nations!! Since world War I.
Dr McCoy’s emo teenage years.
Now I gotta go buy the series… I had no idea some of these actors were in this. It has been a long time since I saw this movie in theaters…
Just watch out when he breaks out his tea cup, that's when you know there's gonna be trouble.
Lord Marshall: I will take your soul! Rips out guy's soul.
There there...Someone here is rivaling with Shang Tsung uhn? "Your soul is mine: 💀 FATALITY 💀"
Necromongers: Death good. Life bad.
Me: Life finds a way.
The crime is life. The sentence is death. We so need a Dredd/Death/Anderson/Hershey film. Hmmm...whom shall we cast as Dredd? Oh! Sorted!
I love this one over all 3 of them
In Mortal Kombat I only see is Robocop, the Terminator and Rambo. Guess who is not invited?
My answer Riddick is not invited in Mortal Kombat. So I wish this month Riddick could be a good fighter for Mortal Kombat.

Satan is mankind's worst enemy.
In the end, he will loose just like all the others. Amen
Okay, so they believe life is an error.
Why not simply build Skynet?
Mr. Gunderson wasn't having any of it.
I’ve seen the movie and didn’t recognize him till this time lol.

What is Dead can Never Die ....
Stops at the best part of the entire gaw'damn movie...
Wow i just watched this movie on netflix. I noticed several differences from the last time i saw it, but this scene stuck out like a sore thumb. On the netflix version, the purifier makes it sound like humans being all different races and faiths is the problem they want to correct, instead of life itself like this version. This one fits much better with the overall theme of the necromongers i think. The netflix version makes them seem like just another group of religious fanatics like any other, thinking their religion is the right one and killing or converting all others.
Every time I watch Infinity War and see Ebony Maw, I think about this guy. The funny thing is that, the Iman character Kieth David voiced a similar savior like character called Despero in the the JL cartoon series
But how do you make eternal life worthwhile? Film is a great way to explore this question.
