Anderson Cooper is a Necro Gerbiler
This is about christians who went around murdering, kidnapping and enslaving many peoples of earth. Jus like star wars is about america n its need for world control
dame=.vaco
necromonger is such a silly name, same like eric killmonger. its must to try hard. lets call them deathbringers or some other lame names
the term necromongers is so assbad. literally its wakandian level 'killmonger' bad. I can even come up with deathmonger
Whoever was in charge of the artistry in this movie. Like wow. The faces, the moving stairs. All of it is beyond any movie I can think of as a whole
Just noticed that the ships are bowing to the lord marshall him as he walks toward the helion prime meeting hall...
That would be Vin Diesel
@@jesusjozi1990 vin diesel was the art director or creator?
Riddick is so beyond under rated. The dialogue, characters, universe building.....it's so good.
หน้าอย่างโหด
the dialogue not so much
yea you're just another blind fan. its lacking in proper dialogue. its a great setting with great characters, but it needed more than that.
@@tombombadil1351I like it when he smelled the girl
its one of my absolute favs. 'underated' doesn't begib to cover it. even the drums at the intro.
Back in the day, this was such a weird switch from the vibe we'd gotten from Pitch Black.
fr but now i look back and the difference aint too jarring lol
Still is for me. I prefered the serial killer storyline.
I think that it’s a good execution of the pitch black/riddick universe.
amazing sequel for sci-fi
some don't like this one,
but i think it's truly artful and wildly unique
which means it will take years to truly find its audience
Arnold swarch would have made a better protagonist in these movies than vin diesel.
In my opinion, this is one of the best action sci-fi movies ever. It's criminally underrated. There is so much in this film, you can't get it all in one watching. As an expression on religion and culture it's impressive. It's the best film of the Riddick series by far. I can't wait for Furya to come out.
I want to watch this again, I missed a lot but it's intriguing
Frankly the set/character design, graphics for the time and overall plot is great, but the acting is simply pretty terrible.
@@ForgottenLore Yeah, I appreciate the weird plot and worldbuilding though. It's compelling and different
@@ForgottenLore Some of the actors in it are not great, I agree, but the story is one the best sci-fi plots ever. King Vidor's Our Daily Bread (1934) is comparable: truly bad acting but a great morality tale. One thing I like about Chronicles is that on the surface it's just an action SF movie, vehicle for vin Diesel, etc -- but beneath the surface it's an epic story rich with symbolism. Chronicles really deserve its own tv series. There are so many complex characters and layers in the Necromonger / New Mecca / Furya universe, it deserves such a show.
Just came here randomly after having it recommended on that sidebar and watching Helms Deep, and yeah, can't but agree, I really need to rewatch it and the first Riddick too, I remember when I was a teen and saw the movie and really liked it, me being a teen ofc, but now as an adult seeing it with different eyes, appreciating the work that went into its creation and aesthetics is great
this has always been my favorite Riddick movie because of the Necromongers. this was an enemy that was much more compelling than just swarms of aliens or monsters. I loved that they had a distinct culture and there was a freaky supernatual-ish aspect to them. I also really loved the later segments on the sun-scorched prison planet. yes, very underrated movie
BEST SCI FI
They gave me a vibe of something between Engineers from Prometheus and humans on Earth, like if there was a blend but more on human side
Can't believe we waited 10 years or even more to get a continuation of this story and even got Karl Urban in this armor again. Just for the entire necromonger thing to be completely DROPPED so we could watch another pitch black rehash.
One of the best movies out. The goal and religion of the necromongers is dark and believable. Kinda remind's me of a 40k race or something.
Daz wel they once ruined me morvof like space knights
At first I thought they were making it like it was a cleansing of religion,, but it was just an alignment with the necromonger religion!! All religions are suppression!
goals, it's plural not possesive
@@amvlabs5339 yeah I'm ADHD, and English wasn't stimulating enough for me to focus on it. Hence I'm bad at it, appreciate your tutorage.

Because it's the future.
Eh, some of the costumes do look fake, doesn't quite sell it being actual armour.
The CGI also shows it's age, and the acting... not the best.
But the whole package is convincingly put together so it still leaves an engaging and enjoyable experience.
shut ur as up i dare you to show me one of the last 5 years movies as good as the 2000/2004 movies. @@happydemon3038
The fact that this is Vin diesel film makes you realized that if he wants to he can really make an amazing and interesting film.
Mr Handler, did you know Vin Diesel was in Saving Private Ryan?
@@ReaperCheGuevara he was also The Iron Giant.
yeah he needs to keep his mouth shut and let talented people do their job and just produce, unfortunately he doesn't do that anymore as evidenced by his feud with Justin Lin who's the reason Fast and Furious is so successful.
It reminds me when a friend took me to their church.
Must have been super uncomfortable. Where was it? What kind of "faith"?
@@loaneslone7168 It's inside a mall. Born again type.

Best Riddick ! They should make a proper sequel to this. Or at least video game. Even rts from this universe would have been great !
They did.
But yeah I really didn’t like it
@@PARISGx1 I thought be meant big budget wise, "proper" sequel.
@@PARISGx1 Yea thats why I said proper ;)
they just skipped a good sequel where they could just explore the underverse for a cheap pitch black knock off. It was not totally bad but yeah it could have been much more.
Wanted to see Toombs send a 6 man crew.
Better hurry, Vin’s getting old. 🤣
I wish that we could've seen more of them.
why do real army not have cool armor's like in the movies cause it's to expensive to make cool stylish armor when function is more important then looks specially if it can be cheaper and boring looking in comparison
@@raven4k998 Shows just how valuable the life of a soldier is to their governments
Seeing the Necromongers always keeps reminding me of the 40K Chaos Forces. Only these guys are a small cult branch. Their belief, the training, and how they gain more power. I love it all.
It's more like the early imperium. Conquering independent worlds for a greater good and forcing everyone into a death guard military to take more worlds. Only difference is the imperium were fanatic atheists. Which is a religion itself.
They don’t seem very chaotic. They seem to be the embodiment of extreme order more like.
@@wantanamera But they worship dark gods from another verse who preach death as a form of salvation... very similar to W40K's Chaos gods.
@@WhenDoesTheVideoActuallyStart what dark gods do they worship?
@@wantanamera The one(s) of the Underverse
Kinda badass having the ships kneel as he walks by. Something I could totally see happening in 40K.
I bow to no man
I love Ridick 2, it expanded the Ridick world like 100 times.
"I'm not with everyone here..."
Next Movie: "I'm just passing through..."
Riddick had some of the most badass one-liners...IMO
Gotta admit this movie was way, way way better than I expected. Easily the best in the series.
there is another verse were you can live free of pain in under verse
You can hardly find a good movie like this one now days....
This movie bombed on release. Not just reviews but terrible box office.

5:09 "If you say so" most badass response ever, you have to hand it to Vin, haha
Sanyikun vs NikolKidman
I'm impressed they got a young Rob Halford to act in this. Also, Karl Urban has had some great roles.
Just because you run the holy half dead empire doesn't mean you can't dress and decorate more comfortably.
I just realized the guy who spoke up and soul got taken is Christopher Heyerdahl! Amazing man he is!
Todd
You complete me John Sheppard 😂
to everybody he is Dominic Toretto but to me he is RIDDICK
Exactly
Great movie! Never trust critics.
I wish it would've been at least another Riddick movie battling the Necromongers!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think they set up the last movie in that direction so Riddick to take revenge after they abandoned him on that planet
This is a great movie! I have watched a thousand times.
Are you with me....Kira
Same I can't keep count on how many times I watched it
I’ve prob seen this movie more times than any other movie
This was so out of left field, we weren't ready. Such a great movie. Great universe!
This Franchise went from Vinnie fighting space monsters in the dark to fighting a massive undead space fleet and then back to dicking around with monsters in the dark again.
You know you are a badass when your armada bows to you.
When I watched this movie as a kid, i was blown away. I still love this movie to this day
Il est excellent 😊mais rien à voir de ce que je v te dire avec la vidéo '' si tu connais lorsque tu la vu la première fois ça ta pas fait penser à l'armure des gémeaux de saint seiya ?
Criminally underrated movie
One of the only movies EVER made where the super hero doesn’t get in even matched fights with commons…. Love this movie.
The Necromongers look straight out of the Warhammer 40k Universe
I bow to no man. The greatest line from Vin
I've always loved this movie. The game was actually really good too. I think it's got everything language, cool sets... armor... weapons... ships... great characters. Great flick.
most interesting how all these actors got a major role and even greater roles in the years hereafter
Better than Star Wars, fight me. The amount of detail, nuance and badassery is off the charts.
One of the most badass SciFi armies ever! Definitely my favorite
god im so happy that i accidently bumped on this video. it made me search and watch Chronicles of Riddick for the first time and it was awesome! How is it possible that i didnt see it in cinemas when it was out long ago and actually never heared much about it? This movie is amazing, i love every aspect of it.
Every time I see the 3-faced helmet I'm reminded of the Living Tribunal from the marvel comics.
Amazing that Necromongers also use the metric system.
مارايك ياقاضي تها في امراة تزجتها هي امي وانا ولدتها
They were all once from Earth after all...
Why shouldn't they, necromongers are descendants of humans.
Like Lynchs Dune from the 1980s this film has an odd feel but the production design makes it a must watch
Still one of the hardest lookin pauldrons in all cinema or video games
For the ones who know about great sci-fi movies, Riddick has never disappointed.
I love the look the Lord Marshall does when the man goes "you betrayed your faith".
This movie was made at the best time ever.
When at top was all this games like: Warcraft, StarCraft, Warhammer, heroes might and magic etc
I remember whatching it hyped
I like the exchange with the lord marshal much more in the directors cut. "Have we met? On some distant field?" Is such a hard line. And he's clearly showing that he's effortlessly stronger than Riddick when they both hold the dagger.
So this is were Billy Butcher was trained 🍺🍺🍺
U can say so😂
U can say so😂
19 years later and I just realized the ships with the faces are bowing as the Lord Marshal passes. I thought they were just transforming as a part of their landing process lol.
Doesn't matter if you win with an axe or knife. Winning is winning.
Now they owe him a 10 second car.
This is the greatest movie the Sci-Fi Channel never made.
There should be another one made.
The script for the final installment "Furya" was actually penned last year. Vin Diesel's just been busy with his Fast movies and Karl Urban had to shoot The Boys.
@@kemisomolefhi5638 ok,thanks
Riddick is so beyond underrated x 10. This is some of the most phenomenal futuristic-theme filmmaking ever done with acting to match. Vin Diesel we need more Riddick movies, no more dog movies please! A Masterpiece.
Most underrated movie in the history of multiverse.
Love this movie. Watch all of them from time to time.
Le lance flamme, mon préféré
I really liked this one. Pitch Black was really good, but this movie had a completely different feel and I liked it even more.
Didn't remember Karl Urban was in that! Now in The Boys!
RIDDICK AND DUNE HAVE THE BEST BRUTALISM ARCHITECHURE
"Won't somebody please remove that knife from that poor guy's ba-OMG NO NOT LIKE THAT THO!"
For the people there you gotta admit seeing what looks like a guy ripping another guys soul out is going to make you question your faith right away
Guardman: "This is your one chance,
Take the lord Marshall's offer and bow"
Riddick: *I bow to no ma'am*
still awesome today. the style is fantastic
The whole concept of the Necromonger/Underverse thing seemed silly to me BUT everything else about this movie was FANTASTIC!
Every year I've gotta watch it again.
Seems like the Chaos forces from the Gaunt’s Ghosts series: actually competent at running an empire yet still incredibly brutal in their practices.
Why oh why can't we have a Necromonger movie? I'd love to see their adventures with Vaco as the Lord Marshall.
3:36 It feels like this shot was cut off before it should've been. I think the intent was to end with Riddick standing at the back, revealing that he's there for the first time and showing his defiance against the Necromongers.
Dunno about that specific timing, but this is a short version of the scene. The bigger version of the movie tells part of the Furyan story and why the Lord Marshal is doing this campaign. In this particular scene, when the Lord Marshal handles the dagger to Riddick, they stand off defiantly grabbing the dagger and the Lord Marshal dialogues to Riddick (similar to this):
LM: Are you familiar to me ? Have we met on some distant battle field ?
R: You would think I would remember.
LM: Yes, you would think I would too.
Then the LM releases the dagger and the scene follows as it is here.
I believe that version of the movie you do not have so much chatter of Riddick's thoughts, as you have been introduced to a greater context.
On the short version of the movie, you have a lot of Riddick's thoughts, as he wonders what is happening and what's he gonna do next.
I figure they had to do this to give some follow-able arc, since the bigger picture is missing.
In fact it is absolutely amazing how both versions seem to tell a very different story with just a few scenes and speech differences.
The bigger version is more complete and adds more sense to the whole movie - albeit it is a more "standard" traditional arc of good vs bad.
The shorter version is more neutral and unbiased - the good vs bad is not so clear (because you never know about Riddicks' past and what he has done) - amazing how they pulled that one off.
one of the most underrated movie of all time!
loved this movie, never gets old
This sounds so much what Klaus Schwab & WEF is offering to us all, so similar.

Very good acting. Love this scene

Sci-fi and baroque combined together.
The films series in general going from to horror to this back to horror hopefully the next one is a good mix
I just watched this film again today for the first time in a long time but i have probably watched it about 200-300 times in the past. I was a bit gutted by the last one, it had the Riddick feel to it but this film had so much going on. Id like a series to be made out of it, it has so many facets with all the different worlds and differently evolved humans its potential to tell stories is huge. Also, Keira, maybe there is some kind of Necro technology where at the end she was maybe saved, she should of been in the next film, its like Ripley and Newt in Aliens, they built up a story with 2 great characters and then ones killed off, i think it was an error i really liked her style.
i laughed SO hard at the helmets & head wear in this movie when i first saw it back in 2000 or whenever it came out.
He's one of my best!
