im playing this in my jazz band, small band btw, 2 boneheads, 2 tenors, 2-3 trumpets, a drummer, and like 3-4 altos. one of the boneheads is a euphonium and i'm a "tenor sax" (bass clarinet in jazz band) and the high notes from like bar 18 to 33 or whatever kill me every time, but i'm getting them to start speaking. it almost drives me poco loco

i’m the bass player for TSMS’s jazz band 2 (we had too many people so we split into 2) and only we are playing this :3 i also played it at my directors jazz camp and we skated
instead of an alto solo i did it on trombone, and i hit some juicy ah low notes, and blew everyone away with some zesty high notes
Paying this masterpiece on the trombone was one of the best experiences of my life ngl :)
I can play the Bari sax part but I played this for a concert with a clarinet :)
