Our only hope is their virus will last as long as their other products.
A lot of Filipino maids are getting tortured, abused and mistreated in other countries, so I truly respect them for being brave enough to go out there and risk their lives as long as it means helping their family. I truly respect not just filipina maids but all maids around the world.
Once when my mom hired a maid. The maid was evil inside and very lazy. Everytime We go out and buy stuff or go to the restaurant. She always use our stuff (not mine tho because my stuff is small) and take pictures of them, and send it on Facebook! Once when my family was looking at her Facebook page my mom saw that she was trying to poison my mom! So when got home I started eating and my mom was shouting at her And guess what SHE THREW A FRICKING KILLER SPARY AND HIT HER WITH IT she called the agent and she went home. My god
I HATE HOW SINGAPOREAN TREAD THEIR MAID. i'm work in singapore as a maid in 2009-2011 I'm only 18 years old at the time ... singapor is a great country nice city everything was clean and nice but not the people... i know not everypeople in singapore are bad... for three years I change employers 3times... first employer. my salary is $400 per month. I wake up at 5am and slept at 2pm. and every day he just gave me instant noodles for my meal. they hit me if I made a mistake. then I asked to exchange employer. The second employer they are also very cruel. never talk to me. and always late to give my salary. lucky they moved to America so they could not take me away with them. then my third employer. My job is take care of mam who is sick. she was very jealous to me when her husband spoke to me. sometimes she gets angry for no reason. i'm very confused and scared. just last 6months my contract already 3years. and I decided to go back Indonesia. and then I decided to go to work to taiwan .. my first employer in Taiwan is very good. My job is take care of ahma. they treat me like a family. they told me if i'm happy they also happy. and if I'm sad they are also sad. my salary in taiwan is 20.000TWD per month. probably around $900singapore money. but only 2 years I work for them. ahma passedaway.. then my agency find a new employer for me. my second employers are very good also. my job is take care of two twin girls aged 4. they really liked me. and I am also happy to work for them. until now I am still in taiwan working for them. every year my employer ask me to visit my family in indonesia. and get back to Taiwan again for them. they are so kind to me ... I took my of day on Saturday and Sunday to go out with friends. they were very understanding. and I also promised to work well for them instead. (AND I PROMISED i never ever ever want to go to singapore again! NEVER!)😠😠😠 #sorry for my bad english but i'm trying my best to explain
Not all singaporean employers are bad is just the ones whom you meet are but since you went to taiwan you should stay there as long as you have a good time there. But there is not need to cut Singapore off as a place to work.
Lovely Girl I'm a singaporean kid here and tbh although some of my family members aren't as bad as the woman in the video, they still boss the domestic helpers around to the degree where it's annoying that's why most of the time I try my best to make the domestic helpers working for my family feel better by helping them in their work when I can and offering them food or drinks and having conversations to ease their stress. Don't worry, in the future I'm sure more employers won't be that bad since the newer generation of adults are not as demanding as the older generation
Kids are usually attached to their maids because many working moms leave all the parenting to them. They are even too lazy to feed their own kids and let the maids do the jobs. Kids are emotionally attached to the person who provides them with the basic care.
I employed a Filipino housemaid for a short time in Singapore when she lost her job with a friend of mine who returned to the states. She felt proud that I respected her & told her friends. That shocked me, until she shared some truly horrible stories of past mistreatment. One night I told her to bring serve everything together (stew, rice, salad, vegetables & dessert) so she could go out; meaning just bring it to the table at the same time. She did just that...ALL mixed together in one big bowl! I kept looking for the different items until she pointed to the bowl & said it’s all in there, together! 🤣😂😅 The differences in understanding what is said! Can’t imagine what this woman would’ve done to her. ♥️Singapore♥️
i dont understand with people these days.. why get offended real QUICK?! this story ain't about phillipines, singapore, or anything else! for me this story has the moral value about how you treat other people, doesnt matter if u rich or anything you CAN'T be mean to your maid/worker, treat them as a human.. we never know when the karma arrives and hit us be positive thinking guys come on!
Maria Auxiliadora yup I agree. As a Singaporean I believe this Singapore production does not produce this short story to show that we are a badass. Anyone can be the victim or culprit regardless of nationality or whatever. This story is to tell us both employees and employers have to respect each other. putting ourself in other shoes ;)
i am a filipino . and i don't find it offensive either . instead i thank you for the people who made this .. you surely said what they can't say .. i am not an ofw but most ofw workers had the same fate just like the maid in the video ..
+Samantha Cejas: This is just storytelling. Fiction. Entertainment. Someone used their imagination to write this plot. That's all. Americans use Americans, British use British characters, Indians in India use Indians... why would you consider even getting offended by something so minor...
@@suzanabrams1 Unfortunately this is NOT fiction. The video may be, but the matter is not. There are documentaries on RUclips about maids working their asses off, being beaten, being locked up, being mistreated in any possible way, being injured, and being killed. I am not going to point fingers at any nation, but there are countries maids better not choose to work as a maid.
I think this might be too extreme but I do know some cases of employers abuse their maids. But anyone tell me please, does this really happen? In my house, maids arent just maids. They are my family. She is so funny and helpful and we share stories.
people should be treat fairly. Yes you are right, pls continue to treat them as your own family. Me too I treated our maids here as my barkadas, friends and family.
Tjandralala yes! im not saying all, but most of domestic helpers around the world experience that... so where are the human right commissioners to protect maids/domestic helpers?
Tjandralala yes this story is really happening. If the employer are really bad some helper get revenge. But not all. In my opinion both side have bad experience. Base on my experience. For so many years ive been working as a helper. I have experience bad and good employer. But i never keep anger in my heart. What i did is prayer that i can control my anger to those who abuse me. Bec if my anger and hatred will not control. Maybe i can do also this such thing.
House maids have right she cook for you wash dishes take care children even she take care of you why can't you treat her good with respect... She do everything but still you keeping her like prisoner.. That's why many house maids killing children because owners the never ever treating them good.
nothing justifies hurting others, specially children and they shouldn't be punished for what their parents do.... and by abusing the children they won't fix the problem.
Of course, but the anger and resentment just builds up in the abused women. Its known psychology if someone is beaten they will find someone more vulnerable than themselves to beat. Its called the pecking order and is part of human nature. Unless the cycle is broken.
My cousin has a domestic helper who is like family to them. She’s super nice to the kids and sits at the table with us at every meal. She also goes on family outings with us. Best of all, her food is AMAZING. 🙃🥰❤️
some singaporean people always think that they can do anything to domestic helper..they think money can buy everything.. domestic helper also human,is not a robot.. they will be good if people good to them..
I also worked in Singapore they're perfectionist and high descrimination. u are lucky if u find a good family/employer. but most of them are so mean!! I'm sorry!! 😔
Not only filipino but other maids from other countries also being abused all over the world. It is so sad. Some human have really no compassion towards others.
We had these friends, the guy is from UK (same as my husband) and the wife is from Hongkong. They had this filipino nanny and i saw how the wife badly treated the nanny and i got mad at her (the wife) to the point that we don’t talk anymore until now. Last time i heard the nanny left them which made me happy that she’s out of that evil chinese woman.
Not all Singaporeans are as bad as other helpers think. I work for my first Singaporean employers for 4 years. And the second employers for 16 years. Don't just blame the employers. Many times the helpers make mistakes too but they don't want to accept it. I like Singapore and all my employers treat me well. I can say that i was very lucky. Just do you chores nicely and respect your employers. What goes around comes around🤗
I read a article recently about Saudia Arbia and how bad they treat their maids. Often they do not pay them any wages. They take away their passports so they cannot leave until they are approved by the owners of the house.
Just because youre rich doesnt mean you can mistreat a fellow human being esp if that person takes care of you, your children, your house, cook and clean after you. Be compasionate.

@@armyofTristan then explain why china is the only country in the world which has experienced the fastest economic growth since the mid 20th century, and is very potentially on its way from 2nd largest economy, to surpassing the US as the worlds largest economy, soon. dont believe me do some research, or are you too lazy to do that.
Best local short film! I will award the actress, actor, scripts writer and film director the best story, best filming, best actress, best acting and best arrangement!
this was crazy and nice same time but I understood what you was trying say .. Rich or Poor you not suppose to treat anybody wrong .. she was trying get payback for her sister because in certain culture like she said if justice is not done then the soul can't rest in peace and she was trying do both get payback and have her sister soul rest but at the end she died
In reality, some employers are really like this, thank you for showing this. May this video open the hearts and minds of those concern who will be able to watch this.
It's too sad to see this kind of situation.. happening to some helpers. I'm a Filipino maid working here in Singapore for about 8 years and still mounting. It's true that SOME employers treated helpers that bad...or even agencies. Same as me, 5 years after before I found a good and kind hearted employer. For 5 years I got 4 employers for I always ask to transfer as they don't treat me well. Always looked down on me, not on my skills and capability to do house work but to my existence as low class human( a maid). despite of the fact that most Singaporean families do really need helpers to help them out their chores and look after their kids as the same time. As a maid I admit we don't have a perfect and competent skills but we always do our best to meet employers need for skills can be develop and improve as the days goes by. Employers trust is the most important, we don't ask full trust but at least a half of it. Yes, problems may arise between employers and helpers but talking privately will work and helps a lot. For me working here as a maid requires patient and honesty... it's a long process of adjustment in our part but with the help of employers who understands us it would be easy. And to the employers it's a matter of acceptance and trust for your helper, don't expect too much just because u are paying her (high or low salary) just simply accept of what she's able to give and do for you. Accept the fact that there's a stranger who has a different culture who will work fr u. As I said don't expect much from her...just give your trust when it comes to her duty as a maid cuz she'll definitely do it right. Avoid nagging, scolding ,impatienT for it is so stressing.. We come here just to work to support our family back home, but of course it doesn't mean that we don't need rest.. to have rest days are the most basic rights of all types of worker whether you are a low class worker a professional or a high ranking official in this country..We all do need it..helpers need it most..considering that most of us are working almost 18-20 hours a day. in the past I always told to my employers, "for a favor, pls treat us with a bit of dignity and respect" not as a maid but as a human being.. cuz even animals need respects too. lot of things I learned from my past employers which did help me grow as a helper. I got the chance to know different types of family and their behavior, and know how it feels working & making Singapore as my second home. This time, I am serving happily to a very thoughtful & kind hearted Chinese family with their little baby girl.
Dear Employers, Why not put yourself into the shoes of your employees? Only then you guys will realize how much hard it is to be in their situation. If you guys are poor and needed money to feed your family, would you guys do the same thing as these domestic helpers do?
I hate that.... they give abit of salaries but they treat their maid as slave...really hate it...I never think that Singaporean are like that...that's why i left my country and working but..they are not like i think...they never treat helper as human.. never give enough food, and enough rest time....Its my experience while working in singapore.
Just to let everyone know ppl who live in Singapore are not like this although I am not from Singapore I live there and they are the nicest ppl in the world! They would never do anything like this and are very warm hearted!
Simru Lutem i think you don't know them very well...they have two faces,,,outside one was very good and talk so soft, keep on smiling,,but inside was full of evil heart!! you're right! the place was very nice,,but they ruin them using their bad attitudes..
Sim Ltm Im a helper in singapore...I live in 11th floor.everytime I hang clothes he come upstair to complain bec she always say that their clothes cannot be dry bec.I covered it.she is rude in talking hurtful words.she.even.say to me do you understand english, where in fact i can talk.english.well than her.
I like the short flim that it spread awareness for Innocent people that things like these existed and it serves as a good assessment for people who need to understand how to respect others regardless of their status
I am so thankful and blessed for having such a very good and kind employers. They treated me as one of their family members! Oh btw, they are from North India and I love them!😘❤️
I just hate seeing or hearing of ANYONE being mistreated period! Doesn't matter to me where they came from or the color or their skin! I was raised differently by my family but I grew up choosing to see everyone as equal. We all bleed the same no matter who we are. Rich poor different race doesn't matter. We all come into this world the same way. We all experience happiness fear sadness pain health all the same way. I brought my children up to love people for who they are on the inside. I see someone being mistreated doesn't matter if I know them or not. I stand up not stand and turn my back. Had I been in the home of a person and see they're treating someone badly I'm very out spoken. I most definitely speak my mind on it.
No matter how you treat people nicely when the evil enter it could goes to the wife, to the husband or the maid. It’s okay to have a maid treat them nicely, but don’t let them do all the things for your husband and your kids. Give the Maid a day off that’s their right. Do not let your family live their life only evolve with your maid. We pray for everyone who live with us. Once in a while talk to your maid if there’s something you can do for their family, sometimes they need a hand on their personal problems Maid should work but give them certain time to stop so they can rest.
I hope this story can open the minds and hearts of employer and employee. Doing good both side are very important. Some employer are really bad at the same time some employee are bad too.
Filipino doesn't really have 'an accent' because we have many dialects. There's a Bisaya that speak English very well, and that's different from a Filipino English speakers (these are those who speaks Tagalog and raised in the Metro Manila).
Nope, wrong - there's no such thing as having "no accent". When I said accent, I am referring to Filipinos as a whole, and not a specific region. This is also a Singaporean context, and as far as I am concerned, I haven't encountered any Filipino maids here who speak without a hint of their native accent (especially when angered). No hate, I was just pointing out that this short film would have been all the more better had the accent been worked on to deliver a more convincing performance. Still I'm really grateful for the filmmakers and actors who worked in this short film - I'm always watching your short films and please keep doing what you're doing :)
Like I said, I'm generalising the pinoy english accent (I would know this because I am a pure Filipino too). I don't mean to be specific with regards to which region the accent has to come from.
The rate of abuse, murder and suicide of domestic helpers in some parts of the world is unacceptably high. Many of the helpers have their passports taken by their agency or the family they live with, and they have no days off, nor are they allowed to leave the house alone, so they have no way to escape or to report abuse. Some helpers have long hours and sleep in a very small space. Some are raped by family members, then sent home pregnant, to face the family. There are too many horror stories. I hope this video highlights the fact that things are bad for some domestic helpers.
I am indonesian.i am a fdw in singapore. My boss family is the best family i have ever met in singapore.i have worked for almost 2 and a half years.but they did never scold me.they r very understanding.they let me pray n fasting.they let me use handphone n wifi.they treat me just like their family member.we eat on the same table.joking n laughing just like a friend.when we go somewhere,my mum even hold my hand n som3time lied her head on my shoulder.as i do the same too.i am 30.and she is 39.her husband is also the same.he is just like a brother for me.i look after their father.i stayed with grandfather only.my mum n husband already have their own house.but they never ask me to work in their house too. grandpa is also very good person.this family .. is my second family.i love them. In return .. i make myself as a "can be trusted one". Once a week mum give me money for my food n akong food. But i didnt never corupt it.n i never take akong money even i know where he keep his money.i didnt do naughty.simply because i dont want to give them any problem n i dont want to make them shy because of me.i do really love them. But .. i saw lot of my friends r not lucky.they have bad employer.their employer didnt give them enough food n those boss r so fierce.even my niece ,she didnt get enough rest n her boss pay her salary every 6-8 month.my niece already ask her to send her back to agency but she refuse.very bad.. n some others .. first they take a helper, they said untruthful.on the paper said work for 1 house.but the true they ask to work in her house n the ahma house n give the maid only 10$ for working in ahma house.n another friend, she look after 2 children n house.very tiring job.not enough rest n the mum is very noisy boss.her body is getting tinny n tinny.but my friend is quiet person.one day she cant hold her stress feeling.so she decide to go back to indonesia.but what the boss do ..😂..this is so selfish boss, she blackmail her.even for nothing she blackmail her..i pray for her to be a better person 1 day.but i also pray for her may she get the punishment 1 day (from Allah SWT) oohh...singapore ..lot of story of u. For singaporean .. no matter if u r chinese.malay.or indian..or else .. Please .. whereever ur maid comes from .. please love n respect them.n sure .. they will return ur love with the same..LOVE. Especially for malay people.. . we r muslims.we r family.plis dont look down ur maid.u know what is our religion has teach.treat them nicely n they will be nice to u too.ur maid is just a maid in singapore.but in indonesia .. u may see different one.we have good house just the same as u.we have field.we r not that low.it is just our job as a maid to serve u in singapore.but once we go back we r not a maid.we r someone else that u may not realize . I am really to say all this..forgive me.💕🙏
This is horrible. There was a sweet lady who used to clean our house years ago and my mother never would have treated her like this or tolerated anyone else treating her in such a way. It burns me up the way so many blue collar workers are mistreated even though those people are the backbone of society.
I have a domestic helper and I live in Singapore even tho I live in Singapore I don’t act like a singaporean I am a Filipino and my domestic helper is a Filipino so usually we talk to her in Tagalog, my family members treat her like family cause in Philippines her family is poor and during Christmas time last year my parents gave her a lot of money to buy presents for her sons, I love my domestic helper she’s so funny and she always listen to my parents instructions and even tho my domestic helper does mistakes we eventually forget about it and we do no harm to her and if she ever retires I definitely still will have her contact and when my parents want me to study and not use my gadgets she usually give me around 10 min of using gadgets. I think that all people around the world should treat their domestic helper like family
I believe in karma. . Good be gets good Bad be gets bad ! God is watching us and He will judge everyone of us according to our works and deeds and it's not according to our status in life, level of education, rice, color and how much poor or rich we are. For the battle is the Lord, and He is the God of the humble and weak! ! Judgement certain because of the wickedness of the people!
Nice short film, but this doesn't reflect Filipino values. Spanish, Americans, and Japanese came to our country and did harm to us, yet we harbor no ill will against them. I guess the scriptwriter of this short film was born into a culture where revenge is seen as restoration of his honor.
jay alba Nothing wrong with the whole revenge thing (I actually liked it...the boss lady deserves it, let's be honest here). Better than letting people step all over you, right? Besides, sometimes the whole "not harboring ill will against others" doesn't apply much in reality and you have to do the "revenge" so that these people will know who they are dealing with and realize that they're messing with the wrong people (and get their bad karma). Pretty much applies in a bullying scenario. They'll keep harrassing you if you don't stand up to yourself.
lmao no, Filipino family's aren't like this, they are more welcoming and they will make you feel your at home, my family also has a maid or so we call it "Katulong" here in the Philippines and I treat her like she's my own big sister I even call her "ate" everytrime (it means sister). ^^
Its true, Filipinos are being mistreated everywhere by most people. I think people should understand that their mindset and understanding is different from some of the successful countries around them. They need a lot care and guidance. I shed tears for most of them as a Malaysian. I'm determined to marry my Filipino girlfriend soon, I hope I can give her a good life with lots of care and understanding. Yes yes, there are some horrible people in this world, but they exist all around the world too.
Why is everyone in the comment secrion saying “Fillipino maids fillipino maids” firstly this just not just happen to fillipino maids. Maids can be indonesian or from myanmar and clearly the maid in the video wasnt fillipino but either malaysian or indonesian. I dont know whybit triggers me that everyone think that maids can only be filiipino but it does
My parents treat my helper extremely well my mom gives her free skincare and perfume and we bring her out for dinner and celebrate her birthday we even bring her overseas and she’s a nice helper she cooks the best food and she loves me and my Brother alot and shes been with us for 10 years
If Philippines allowed the US to just colonized us then for sure, no filipino will work as a maid abroad.. You will see Filipinos everywhere outside the country because our government is corrupt that's why we have to move out, even professionals do. I am a nurse working in KSA and currently applying to Australia to take courses to be a registered nurse there..
+Sebastiano 786 No it's clear that she meant what she said. So Spain colonized the Philippines, and then the Philippine Revolution happened to get the Philippines gain their freedom. America helped the Philippines, and once they defeated the Spanish, I think America was planning on colonizing the Philippines? And then i think there was another fight, this time between America and the Philippines. And the Philippines won and then declared their independence and wooo free country so yeah
the child was just woken up from the noise i guess. and her child called the authorities on his mother after accepting that his mother is mentally unstable
Actually im a great of all my employers in Saudi Riyadh i work for 2yrs and i extend for 5 months both of her are nice and good to me. Im thankful God for my employers and i apply again in kuwait and now im here and my employer too are nice and good attitude im very thankful God for give me good employers.
it's true...I'm a Filipino too! even her name isn't sounds a Filipino name, must address properly to the "Admin"...the video was quite disturbing, because of the kid shouldn't be on the scene....
+Candywolf Furever And also i remember when I was little I went with my mom to Ulta, and we met this nice filipino woman when my mom was purchasing her stuff, and my mom told me, "Okay, Steph, say goodbye to Auntie." like even though shes really not my mom.. Idk, my mom does that a lot with people and calls them Auntie. Maybe it's also a sign of respect?? I don't really know though :)
*Lesson learned* : If you are a maid, do not work with Singaporeans employer. And if you are an employer, don't hire a Philippine maid (unless you want to put yourself in danger, like this Chinese lady) 😂
From tiktok i run here ..my story 2010 same as this..but i decided to quite the job with no payment for 3 month..and i come to HONGKONG..THERE SO PEACE FULL..NON OF EMPLOYER TREAT US LIKE IN SINGAPORE

Your grammar is not the best but I hope you live in a more happier life.
Not all singaporean employers are bad is just the ones whom you meet are but since you went to taiwan you should stay there as long as you have a good time there. But there is not need to cut Singapore off as a place to work.
TKI ya mbak
Lovely Girl I'm a singaporean kid here and tbh although some of my family members aren't as bad as the woman in the video, they still boss the domestic helpers around to the degree where it's annoying that's why most of the time I try my best to make the domestic helpers working for my family feel better by helping them in their work when I can and offering them food or drinks and having conversations to ease their stress. Don't worry, in the future I'm sure more employers won't be that bad since the newer generation of adults are not as demanding as the older generation
Lovely Girl not all Singaporeans are like that some are rlly kind
it's kinda sad how the kid consider the nanny as his family instead of his own mom.
he is tired of his mum disrespecting someone who treats the family well, yet never gets treated well.
If i had the same mom i would do the same...i was a private teacher and my children loved me more than their mum...
Kids are usually attached to their maids because many working moms leave all the parenting to them. They are even too lazy to feed their own kids and let the maids do the jobs. Kids are emotionally attached to the person who provides them with the basic care.
You know it do like that
She is not a mom. She is an evil
You know how to judge someone's character based on how they treat animals and people in the service industry
♥️Singapore♥️
i dont understand with people these days.. why get offended real QUICK?! this story ain't about phillipines, singapore, or anything else!
for me this story has the moral value about how you treat other people, doesnt matter if u rich or anything you CAN'T be mean to your maid/worker, treat them as a human.. we never know when the karma arrives and hit us
be positive thinking guys come on!
armie ramsey u didn't get her point u must analize first the statement b4 u react..ur word is the one idiot
Maria Auxiliadora And here's another thing learn some English before you speak to me again idiot . Hahahahahaha your grammar is off honey lol
armie ramsey who the fuck cares about my english? how about you try to speak my language? you are definitely the one who missing my point!
armie ramsey and your statement is OFF.. you might wanted to look smart and shit but im sorry you don't 😂 im pity your life
Maria Auxiliadora yup I agree. As a Singaporean I believe this Singapore production does not produce this short story to show that we are a badass. Anyone can be the victim or culprit regardless of nationality or whatever. This story is to tell us both employees and employers have to respect each other. putting ourself in other shoes ;)
i am a filipino . and i don't find it offensive either . instead i thank you for the people who made this .. you surely said what they can't say .. i am not an ofw but most ofw workers had the same fate just like the maid in the video ..
how awful, people forget that the help are humans and should be treated with respect.
+Samantha Cejas: This is just storytelling. Fiction. Entertainment. Someone used their imagination to write this plot. That's all. Americans use Americans, British use British characters, Indians in India use Indians... why would you consider even getting offended by something so minor...
Know ur place maid
@@suzanabrams1 Fiction? It is depicting what can happen if one ill treat their maid. Most of these storytellings are based on true accounts!
@@suzanabrams1 Unfortunately this is NOT fiction. The video may be, but the matter is not. There are documentaries on RUclips about maids working their asses off, being beaten, being locked up, being mistreated in any possible way, being injured, and being killed. I am not going to point fingers at any nation, but there are countries maids better not choose to work as a maid.
i have a domestic helper that we treat
with respect :)
8 honey that's good :)
8 Thespookyhoney respect for u
Kuchi Kopi wtf is wrong with you? he was just saying that he treats his maid with respect
Thats so good
8 Honey God bless you both with respect domestic workers,
I think this might be too extreme but I do know some cases of employers abuse their maids. But anyone tell me please, does this really happen? In my house, maids arent just maids. They are my family. She is so funny and helpful and we share stories.
+Tjandralala Yeah it happened to someone.
people should be treat fairly.
I don't know about a dramatic scenario like this but I have known of maids' torture.
Zuena Ibrah
yes
Of course, but the anger and resentment just builds up in the abused women. Its known psychology if someone is beaten they will find someone more vulnerable than themselves to beat. Its called the pecking order and is part of human nature. Unless the cycle is broken.
Zuena Ibrah Indeed! Godbless
Zuena Ibrah by hurting children they are being even worse!
Exora Yanniea not only in Singaporean sis everywhere around the world like this.
Exora Yanniea that's why never ever go to Singapore there are still some nice places to work with if you can't find one in your own country.
Aji Bang not only Singapore other countries also lah ,rude af u are like trying to say singapore is not a good place ...😒
heyy aji bang um this is not true. not all singaporeans are like that
Exora Yanniea yeah, but this doesn’t give you right to kill people!you can’t leave the family you don’t like or go to police!
You know their acting is good when you hate the employer the first moment she opens her mouth
I also worked in Singapore they're perfectionist and high descrimination. u are lucky if u find a good family/employer. but most of them are so mean!! I'm sorry!! 😔
Li Rodriguez Carl be careful to Singaporean citizens
Respect to the son at the end, who handles everything calmly
I read a article recently about Saudia Arbia and how bad they treat their maids. Often they do not pay them any wages. They take away their passports so they cannot leave until they are approved by the owners of the house.
Brenda Williams true , also they abuse them and keep them as slaves , very rarely do they get justice, UAE is horrid too
AND we cosign all the b.s. the royal family do because of the petrol. Dollar most people in America don't have a clue
Singapore is better.
Amazing end. Dont know if everyone got it.
"Halo, my family needs help".

WHat's so deep? CLiche
Just because youre rich doesnt mean you can mistreat a fellow human being esp if that person takes care of you, your children, your house, cook and clean after you. Be compasionate.
Good eye opener for all parties involved. The short play is very meaningful and well done. Good acting skills and realistic.

It's sad to watch that some people can be mean to domestic helpers driving them to do bad things. 😢 Prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
this was crazy and nice same time but I understood what you was trying say ..
I agree
Narcs
Superior über all of us omnipotents
Dear Employers,
Why not put yourself into the shoes of your employees? Only then you guys will realize how much hard it is to be in their situation. If you guys are poor and needed money to feed your family, would you guys do the same thing as these domestic helpers do?
I hate that.... they give abit of salaries but they treat their maid as slave...really hate it...I never think that Singaporean are like that...that's why i left my country and working but..they are not like i think...they never treat helper as human.. never give enough food, and enough rest time....Its my experience while working in singapore.
SoRRY TO HEAR THAT I WISH YOU WERE MY FRIEND OR FAMILY I WOULD TAKE CARE OF THEM BULLIES. I HATE BULLIES

Simru Lutem i think you don't know them very well...they have two faces,,,outside one was very good and talk so soft, keep on smiling,,but inside was full of evil heart!! you're right! the place was very nice,,but they ruin them using their bad attitudes..

Why is it even called "Domestic Help - Singapore Filipino Drama Short Film"? The maid here is also Singaporean. It was a good film tho :)
Yeah she is but her character is a Pilipino
Oh,I see
well even if it is the same race or nationality she would still be a domestic help because she helps around the house, like cleaning, cooking etc.
+IrishNIDS 24 Although there is strangely no classic accent. :)
not sure but maybe..the maid just represented the Filipino domestic helpers..

Give the
Maid a day off that’s their right. Do not let your family live their life only evolve with your maid. We pray for everyone who live with us.
Once in a while talk to your maid if there’s something you can do for their family, sometimes they need a hand on their personal problems
Maid should work but give them certain time to stop so they can rest.
I hope this story can open the minds and hearts of employer and employee. Doing good both side are very important. Some employer are really bad at the same time some employee are bad too.
The maid is going crazy😂😂😂
In our home here is also a domestic helper......we respect her and help her so much...
I was scared I told my brother to watch it and tell me what happened I hate seeing movies that contains blood I was totally scared
The story line is slightly predictable BUT warranted! taking into consideration the treatment of maids EVERYWHERE by the hands of some. sublime!
Indeed an amazing film!
Αυτα συμβαινουν οταν πας να κανεις καλο κ να δωσεις δουλεια σε αχαριστες!!
Wow great short film! Wished the accent of the maid was more filipino and genuine while she was reading the letter tho - couldn't buy it from then
Jaymee Margaret me too. I'd like to hear the Filipino accent
Jaymee Margaret Pinoys have different english accent too especially the ones from Visayas Mindanaos...just saying
Like I said, I'm generalising the pinoy english accent (I would know this because I am a pure Filipino too). I don't mean to be specific with regards to which region the accent has to come from.
Good actors good story good editing
The rate of abuse, murder and suicide of domestic helpers in some parts of the world is unacceptably high. Many of the helpers have their passports taken by their agency or the family they live with, and they have no days off, nor are they allowed to leave the house alone, so they have no way to escape or to report abuse. Some helpers have long hours and sleep in a very small space. Some are raped by family members, then sent home pregnant, to face the family. There are too many horror stories. I hope this video highlights the fact that things are bad for some domestic helpers.
Sad. Do not do onto others as you do not wish do onto you.
What a great story

But .. i saw lot of my friends r not lucky.they have bad employer.their employer didnt give them enough food n those boss r so fierce.even my niece ,she didnt get enough rest n her boss pay her salary every 6-8 month.my niece already ask her to send her back to agency but she refuse.very bad.. n some others .. first they take a helper, they said untruthful.on the paper said work for 1 house.but the true they ask to work in her house n the ahma house n give the maid only 10$ for working in ahma house.n another friend, she look after 2 children n house.very tiring job.not enough rest n the mum is very noisy boss.her body is getting tinny n tinny.but my friend is quiet person.one day she cant hold her stress feeling.so she decide to go back to indonesia.but what the boss do ..😂..this is so selfish boss, she blackmail her.even for nothing she blackmail her..i pray for her to be a better person 1 day.but i also pray for her may she get the punishment 1 day (from Allah SWT)

I am really to say all this..forgive me.💕🙏
I'm Singaporean... Glad to hear that man. Some Singaporeans are really fucked up with how they treat their helpers

Be nice and treat your domestic helper with respect and she will take care of you and your family.
I'm guessing this video was made by a Singaporean and a Filipino. The maid is clearly not a Filipino, the accent wasn't even close.
jojimojo Then perhaps your guess is wrong.
Dis is Indonesian..
I guess it's Malay

This is horrible. There was a sweet lady who used to clean our house years ago and my mother never would have treated her like this or tolerated anyone else treating her in such a way. It burns me up the way so many blue collar workers are mistreated even though those people are the backbone of society.
OMG i know this building... it's right next to where a friend of mine lives... ang mors are living in it now though lol
Well I'm having nightmares tonight.
Same,horror movie 😖😖😖😖😖😖

Bad be gets bad !

For the battle is the Lord, and He is the God of the humble and weak! !
Judgement certain because of the wickedness of the people!

This is wild why in the hell would any treat any one this way
Nice short film, but this doesn't reflect Filipino values. Spanish, Americans, and Japanese came to our country and did harm to us, yet we harbor no ill will against them. I guess the scriptwriter of this short film was born into a culture where revenge is seen as restoration of his honor.
I agree, Filipinos are Catholic, we do not seek revenge nor harm to others who have mistreated us.
jay alba
jay alba Nothing wrong with the whole revenge thing (I actually liked it...the boss lady deserves it, let's be honest here).
I have many time come to work in Singapore, i lucky ini got of employers is very freindly and humble with domestic worker
Its a Filipino family vs. a Singaporean maid
No, the maid is the Filipino.
No lah ~ The casts are all S'porean ~
+Jangelo Salago I believe that the maid isnt a filipino.
+mia atencia The maid is a Singaporean-Malay ~ Like i said The casts are all Singaporean ~
lmao no, Filipino family's aren't like this, they are more welcoming and they will make you feel your at home, my family also has a maid or so we call it "Katulong" here in the Philippines and I treat her like she's my own big sister I even call her "ate" everytrime (it means sister).
+Joy Y. Z. - ummm...did you mean to write "If Philippeans **had not** allowed the US..."?
+Sebastiano 786 no.. I really mean it.. I think it would be better if Philippines is also governed by US like the old days..
True, but in the old days, we wanted to stand on our feet and be responsible for our own...
Best of luck
+Sebastiano 786 No it's clear that she meant what she said. So Spain colonized the Philippines, and then the Philippine Revolution happened to get the Philippines gain their freedom. America helped the Philippines, and once they defeated the Spanish, I think America was planning on colonizing the Philippines? And then i think there was another fight, this time between America and the Philippines. And the Philippines won and then declared their independence and wooo free country so yeah
When the phone rang and the maids face was like. "Whoever Called me on the phone, your moms a dumb Llama"

Talk about an awesome way to get your revenge, scaring the son and the father, dam!
This is wrong... in real life a domestic helper ( Filipino ) will not revenge to our employee . Why always a Filipino is a domestic helper ?
Most employer in sg was really mean to thier helper. But im glad that i had a good kind employer that time i work there
