CD & Vinyl Shopping At The New HMV Shop!

- Last weekend I drove to Burlington, Ontario to check out the local Toys R Us store and I was surprised to find a brand new shop within a shop - the HMV Shop! Toys R Us and HMV are owned by the same parent company, and they've launched a new section within Toys R Us filled with CD and vinyl! And talk about a great selection, there was a TON of great titles all kinds of rock fans would dig! Come with me as I take a look around the new HMV Shop!

Although we appear to have different tastes in music for the most part, this was cool to see. I was disappointed when HMV disappeared in the spring of 2017 but hopefully these mini-stores inside of Toys R Us will find their way here to Alberta at some point. For now those of us interested in physical media are saddled with Sunrise Records, although they are pretty good generally speaking. Thanks for making this video.
It is very cool to see HMV back, hopefully it makes its way out to Alberta! I worked in marketing at Sunrise for a few years, I still shop there but the selection in the HMV Shop is much, much better! Thanks for watching!

I have bought CDs since 1986. Paradoxically enough, I buy more and more CDs every month as years go by. As far as I am concerned, CDs will be around for decedes to come!
I still buy them too, definitely my favorite format! They had an incredible selection at the HMV Shop, I was in heaven!

@@41moose A lot of retailers have been signaling the end of CDs for a long time but people still buy physical media. Hopefully this HMV Shop can prove people are still willing to pat for the music they enjoy
Did they have Any Ramones CD’s?
I dont remember for sure, but they had a great selection so wouldn't be surprised if they did

Not a ton of Metal there, mostly just mainstream rock and pop
Prices?
Can't remember exactly but they were in line with other retailers so around $15 to $20 for the CD's
Are there any K-pop related stuff there?
I think there was! They had a decent K-pop selection from what I remember
