This video brought me to tears. For a long time I resented Salinas until I moved away. Now living in Oregon I have to say there is nothing like being back in Salinas. Salinas is home, it’s culture, it’s location, and the community. It’s people all in the same boat, all wanting the same thing. It’s comforting to know you can relate to your fellow neighbors. If you ever leave Salinas you will know what I’m talking about. That will always be home and the best place with all it sweet memories ♥️
Shit I live in San Jose now and just the hr drive up north feels to far from home when I find any reason just to come back (El Charritos) lol or the 15min drive to the beach. SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SALINAS!

Born and raised on Williams rd ... recently moved to Georgia ... miss my people but salinas was very isolating . Never forget where I came from tho, Im an east side boy lol
Moved from the city to Prunedale, then to Hollister, then to Tennessee. Grew up in Salinas from age 8 until about 40. Lived in Alisal and then moved to near downtown when Alisal went to hell. Wasn't so bad in the early days. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.
I used to live there. Was born and raised there, my parents lived in Prunedale. NOT ONE DAY GOES BY THAT I REGRET LEAVING THAT HELL HOLE. It’s beautiful to drive through or visit, but I’d never live in that town ever again.
I Miss Salinas California and its agriculture land and the mountains that surrounded the central coast. All vegetables are fresh the lettuce and strawberries love it,
i live near Steinbeck elementary and it’s quite peaceful here. of course there are gunshots here and there but not like some certain parts of salinas where it’s almost daily
