I remember being so scared of shaving. I was really anxious and told my mother I was nervous. She got angry at me and just walked away. Had to learn on my own. This channel makes me so happy though and even continues to help me! Thank you mom💕
thank you for this, im a young girl, and my mom doesn't really teach me any of these things, when i asked how to shave, she told me to figure it out. I really needed this! :D
If you are just starting, i recommend along with soaking your legs I like to exfoliate which helps prevent ingrown hairs, you can use an exfoliation glove, bath puff, or even just a small cloth and after you soak your legs rub whatever you are using on your legs just to get rid of dead skin
Thank you! :) It shows legs to give a basic understanding of how to shave in general, but it applies to arm hair, body hair, face hair etc. Maybe you'll find some use in it :) ❤️
Tip from another mom for saving money, buy a safety razor. These are stainless steel and last a long time. You just need to buy the blades which, if you buy in bulk, cost pennies. Well worth it as it pays for itself quickly.
Thanks so much for including that bit about gender not being a factor. Little things like this make the world a better place on top of something beautiful you are already doing. Thank you. Thank you so much
You are so kind Viola ❤️ everyone needs to see that it's important to do what makes YOU happy! It takes a lot of pressure off when you realize that you can't make everyone happy, so do what makes you happy ❤️
Thank you very much. I grew up teaching myself most of these things, sometimes I learn something new watching these. But it is nice to have a motherly figure showing me how to do it.
thank you mom 🥺 i don't really have a mother and my dad doesn't know much about stuff like this and i'm the oldest sister in my family so these videos are really helpful! :)❤️
Thank you for those videos, I'm older now, but growing up, my mom didn't teach me any of those things, and it always made me feel so ashamed. I actually was uncomfortable with the idea of shaving and woman beauty standards growing up, and on top of being the general insecure teen who already feels uncomfortable with her changing body, it was hard, my family didn't support me and often body shamed me, I'm just glad that you made the extra point of showing that it's optional and is a free choice for you what to do with your body. thanks again for the wonderful wholesome content :-)
Thank you so much for sharing Dana! ❤️ I'm so sorry to hear about hardships you faced growing up. That stuff can be SO hard! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. 🥰 :)
I feel the exact same way! At my school we have a uniform and the girls have the options of long khaki pants, khaki shorts, or khaki skirts. I always wear long pants because I’m super self conscious about my legs. I haven’t learned how to shave yet and I don’t have a mom and it’s awkward talking to my dad about girl stuff. Pretty much all the “popular” girls at my school where skirts and they have clean, shaved legs that everyone finds beautiful and it makes a lot of the other girls self conscious. I even have a friend who wears skirts but she puts leggings underneath and some guys tease her about it. Some of the “popular” girls also wear long pants but they usually wear tighter pants. My dad gets me unisex pants (bc my brother went to the same school as me and my dad got him unisex pants so I could wear them afterwards and we don’t have a lot of money due to only my dad working) so they aren’t as slim fitting as everyone else’s pants. I’m not joking when I say I’m the only person out of every single girl at my school who wears unisex pants. I’m being serious and I’m not exaggerating. I have not seen or heard of not one other person wearing unisex pants and it makes me very uncomfortable knowing I’m the only one. No one knows I wear unisex pants but everyone thinks I’m just really skinny because my pants are rather baggy and I get weird looks. A few days ago these two popular girls kept looking and quickly pointing at me and I wanted to cry. I’ve told my dad I want pants like everyone else’s bc I shouldn’t wear pants I don’t feel good in and he said that’s fine and he’d get me pants like everyone else’s if that made me happy. If I’m being honest, I kinda wanna start wearing skirts but I’m really scared. I’m scared I’ll mess up shaving or won’t be able to do it or my legs will just look weird and I’ll get made fun of and I’m scared guys will make fun of me or my friends won’t wanna hang out with me anymore bc they think I’m trying to be like the popular kids. I hate how self conscious I am about this. I was never self conscious ever in my life about anything but then when I started middle school it was just like a wave of “this is the way society is” hit me straight in the face. This channel is kinda like my surf board through it all. Writing this reply has actually made me feel better strangely enough. Idk who’ll see it or who’ll reply to it or anything but whoever is reading this, thanks for listening to me complain about how self conscious I am. I hope ur having a good day or night or afternoon. Tomorrow morning I’m gonna go tell my dad I want to learn to shave. Hopefully he’ll let me. Thank you to this channel. Thank you.
Honestly you have such a pure community here! I just wanted to say thank you for doing this! I actually have a great mom who’s taught me this stuff however I still subscribe and watch videos. I love what you are doing and I hope you keep this going! Thank you again. 😭😭
You are so sweet Virginia! ❤️ Thank you! I also love our little RUclips community we have. Everyone is kind and lifts each other up. The internet needs more people like you guys ❤️
Thank you, Mom! I am 32 and while my mom did teach me to shave (have a fabulous scar on the inside of my thigh to commemorate the occasion that we both laugh about), it's still good to revisit the process with someone else. Love love love.
thank you! there are many young girls who definitely needed this. i wish this was around when i started shaving with a razor for the first time at 18 a few months ago.
I just found your channel and I wanted to thank you. My mom passed when I was 2 so it was just my dad, brother, and me. Dad didn't really care about this stuff but thank you. You're the best and your content is really wholesome. Keep doing what you're doing. Thanks mom😊
Thank you for taking the time to comment! It means so much to me that I am able to help you 🥰 I'm so sorry to hear about your mom 💔 let me know if there is anything specific I can help with! ❤️
I just found this channel and immediately subscribed. My mum died when I was 11 so I never got to learn a lot of the stuff from her. Thank you so much for doing this :)
thank you so so much for this channel. it’s such a good resource for children who’s moms aren’t exactly available to teach them things or just don’t. my mom never really taught me these kinda things so i never knew. this channel is great, and i hope you continue to make more videos!! thank you
Thank you so much for teach us with this video! My mom died so she couldn't teach me things like this and I'm so thankful for the videos that you do! Love from Brazil 💖🇧🇷
i got kicked out aged 12 so never learnt because i live with my dad , have put up with two years of razor burns , you’ve helped so many people thank you so much :)
Absolutely ❤️ I'm sorry about you mom 💔 but I'm so happy these videos can help you in some way. Feel free to ask me anything you would like to know and I'll try to help you out ❤️
Yes! I hope this helps you. Best of luck with your journey ❤️ I hope you find love, acceptance, and happiness from those you love, but especially from yourself! ❤️❤️❤️
my parents are divorced and i've lost all my trust in my mom from the things she's done, i don't live with her and barely visit her anymore i don't want to ask her how to shave since it's embarrassing and i don't feel like i can just ask her this so casually, thank you so much for making the video i really appreciate it
Turning 12 this year and I have always been insecure about my legs and how hairy they were, I’m too scared to ask my mom for help so this helps a ton. Thank you! 😊 🙏🏽
Hey Mom, my family rejected me for being trans and their are so many things that I wish my mom would have taught me. I also know several much younger trans people. I have added this as a resource to their community page. Don't be surprised if you wind up with a few more in need of love and education....me included. Thank you for what you do! ❤️

I hope you see this

Hello! Remember me? I made your amazing pasta and did the haircut on my cousin :) I’m a frequent guest now. If only I’d found this video when I was younger, I could’ve saved myself from those pesky razor burns/ cuts. (I’m 15, 16 in January I was a hairy child so I shaved young like 13? Maybe. After MANY razor burns I can confirm I still don’t know how to shave.🤣But your video will come in handy 😂) Well my younger sister was watching this and I was annoyed because my notifications didn’t even work :( But I’m here now! My younger sister used this and was showing me how smooth her legs were 🤣 My mum was annoyed (as she should) as none of her kids came to her for ‘Parental Advice from a loving mother.’ I was like we have a virtual mum. 😂 the spaghetti is STILL a go to . And the hairstyle grew in my cousin. 😂 Have a good night (it’s 1:26 am in the U.K.) see you soon for the next video!
Yes of course I remember you 🥰 Thank you so much for the follow up!! I LOVE to hear that you use the videos and they are helping :) ❤️ you're so sweet!! :)
I never had my actual mom around, but I did have a step mom, but she wasn't much of a mom she just yelled at me. When my elder sister became of age of needing to shave she taught her, but when I became of age she never even once mentioned it, even after I said I needed a razer, and or that I didn't know how. So I learned on my own I could obviously tell I was doing it wrong, but it worked, so I went with it. Now I know how thank you
Idea! Can you please show us how to do makeup, mom? I know there are a lot of videos out there but it is a bit overwhelming and it would be nice to hear it from someone we know we can trust :)
Of course it is important to respect your parents, but maybe you should tell your mom how you feel? I'm sure she wants what's best for you, and I think if it makes you feel better you should go for it! ❤️
That's a great question and it would be a fun video! For now, know that pretty much anything goes with black pants or jeans- so that's a pretty safe bet ❤️
You don't need shaving cream Elysian :) you can use hair conditioner! If you have razor burn, make sure to shave downwards and soak your skin for at least 5 minutes before shaving ❤️ good luck! :)
I remember being so scared of shaving. I was really anxious and told my mother I was nervous. She got angry at me and just walked away. Had to learn on my own. This channel makes me so happy though and even continues to help me! Thank you mom💕
I'm sorry about your experience starting to shave. :( I'm glad this video helps! ❤️ :)
Mine did the same, I didn’t know it wasn’t just me!
thank you for this, im a young girl, and my mom doesn't really teach me any of these things, when i asked how to shave, she told me to figure it out. I really needed this! :D

Thank you! :) It shows legs to give a basic understanding of how to shave in general, but it applies to arm hair, body hair, face hair etc. Maybe you'll find some use in it :) ❤️

Definitely!! And it will get better with practice ❤️ remember, you never have to do anything you don't want to do ❤️
Do I absolutely need shaving cream? I shave a lot but mom won’t buy me it and my legs have some razor burns. I also have sensitive skin.
You don't need shaving cream Elysian :) you can use hair conditioner! If you have razor burn, make sure to shave downwards and soak your skin for at least 5 minutes before shaving ❤️ good luck! :)
Thank you, mom🥹💗
