Hope his wife and children don't just vanish on him one day out of nowhere. Like poor Greg.
@@tyrannicpuppyOh goodness me noooooo
@@hellesofiechristiansenwiig3806 Don't worry. They'll be back. They just went on a vacation that he was too busy being Manager to attend. Two/three weeks tops. But as this is Rowan, he'll forget and wonder why the house is so empty.
the most confusing part is why she took the mixer, the fridge and ALL of her clothes on holiday with her.
No this is canon now, no turning back!
0:49 wait, could this have been his second marriage.
Love how Alan was enjoying every part of that conversation and walk off afterwards like “My job here is done” 🤣
Rowan’s look when he realized he was married with children was absolutely priceless. The acting for this skit was amazing. Keep up the amazing work with this channel.
HE WAS MARRIED WITH WHO?
Good thing he learned it now, instead of in 20 years when his "friends kids" have kids. Congratulations Rowan! You're married, and a grandfather!
I like how they always stay in character until the very end. Love VLDL!
Isn't that the point?
My suspicions were raised when Rowan mentioned having a friend.
My suspicions were raised when I saw the title.
@@ZephyrysBaumdamn bro you funny.
Biz Markee knows
@@ZephyrysBaum Nahhh 😭 😭
Rowan mentioned having a friend who's a girl.
Rowan actually getting there is the best given how clueless the character normally is. I really hope you guys build on this more and Rowan starts to become self aware.
Naah, there is not enough void in the known universe to fill the gap between his ears.😂
The sad thing is, there are guys (and girls) out there, that are exactly like this. If you don't tell them stuff directly in their face, they never get things and believe what they want to believe, no matter how strange it appears.
Dude.... You do realize that he became self aware pretty early on and had an existential crisis resulting in the new Rowan being a total dick and conceited.
I don't want him to have a stroke...
2:43 is insane 😂😂😂. Married with kids, Congrats Row 😂😂
Married with kids 😱
Fbi open up
I hope this plot line gets developed and we see a surprisingly loving partner and father
I second this.
I subscribe to this.
Good on Rowan for figuring it out that fast! At the start of this episode I expected another 4 seasons before any sort of realization occured.
The utter shock in Rowan’s eyes was hilarious
I can't wait to find out what Claire and the kids are like. 🤣
Claire ... Klaire ... Karen ...
@@AzaThtthat would be a great plot wist when they introduce her if Rowan keeps getting her name wrong or something lol.
well its pretty much confirmed his own kids just call him rowan because they obviously don't call him dad.
Wonder where they go with this. His real wive Claire and him have a son called Baelin. He is a greyhound.
I immediately thought that Claire was probably the girl from the using air quotes wrong video.
This needs to be extended to a longer sketch. This is gold
I really appreciate how this was the most Rowan way to find out he is married. Kudos to the writers!
We need a skit with Rowan's wife, who actually keeps calling him her "friend" because they both actually thought it was friendship and Rowan is the one to tell her they accidentally got married...
I think she realized how clueless he was and called everything friendship because he is so oblivious xD kinda like a Sheldon.
Her pet name for him the whole time was "Bud/Buddy"
I was thinking this. I mean only a person as weird as Rowan would marry that guy. His wife must be quite the character herself.
Dude just runied that family.
what if its a coercion by both side of the family@@ShiningWolf88
Oh damn that was so good, currently trying to stifle my laughter at work. It makes so much sense that Rowan wouldn't realise he was married, he forgets faces easily enough.
Reckon she's *really* named Claire? Or she said just that morning that Rowan needed to be "clear" about the responsibilities of being a father...
The 'other friend' that moved out before Claire moved in was just Claire before and after a big haircut. Rowan cannot process that it's actually the same person. They can't possibly be, they look different. I'm amazed he recognized her in that white dress.
Yes well us Claires can be that devious :p
same for me in the train.
So that's how you survive a marriage! Just pretend it never happen.
VLDL did it: more subs than New Zealand had citizens. What a milestone 🎉
Next milestone: more subs than sheep!
Dunno about that one 😆@@lappansommer546
Lol, how is that even possible. Are the kiwis subscribing as well?
@@photoo848 actually you hardly need to subscribe now: they've got such a release rate now that just checking every day or so works ok. And there's nothing so dangerous as the "new VLDL" notification in a work meeting...

I think it's my favorite in Bored; there are a lot of fine episodes, but this one... I haven't enough words to describe my feelings
Brings a whole new new meaning to the term "friend zone".
Nope. Sex utterly and completely destroys it, forever.
Theres hope for us friendzoned afterall
@@murkotronNot really. I had sex with a friend, and then we decided to stop this and keep platonic relations. 15 years later we are still friends. And her husband also knows everything about the past too.
@@mapron1 situation you described has absolutely nothing to do with friend zone
@@murkotronit does tho. They had sex realized the relationship wouldn’t work and that they were better as friends so he got friend zoned but they were actually friends like you guys do know that people can stay friends after being in a relationship right? Friends with benefits Is literally just friends who have sex and aren’t in a relationship so no sex doesn’t destroy it forever
first time he wore the ring is in "Finding Footsteps on Vikendi" and was missing last two episodes. so its been 56 months without him noticing
Easily in the top 10 of best Bored episodes. The mind-shattering realization dawning on Rowan's face was perfection!
You need to upload an episode of that Friendship party. Absolute gold seeing Rowan thanking everyone coming to celebrate such a benign event.
I just love it when Rowan and Alan talk and interact without berating each other 😂
Not something you see every day 😂😂😂
I laughed so hard at this 😂
In russian there is a song by the group "Accident" ("Несчастный случай") about this - "What exactly you meant" ("Что ты имела ввиду"). One of the verses is translated like this:
"I still don't really remember your face,
But we went - we bought some two rings
The organ played, everyone drank wine
For some reason your mother called me "son"
I understood - this is a hint, I catch everything on the fly,
But it's not clear what exactly you meant"
I think Rowan should get a friendship prenuptial agreement😂
He's gonna get hit with some serious palimony if the friendship ends now 😂😂
Bit late for a "pre"-nuptial agreement, but yeah he really should've 🤣
too late. hes already been bagged XD
do you not understand what the word prenuptial is? because it doesn't fit in your sentence.
@@thomgizziz it just sounded funny calm down buddy. Yeah I know what it means
This sketch is so simple, yet so well-executed. It feels like a setup for future sketches down the line, and I'm excited to see if it goes anywhere! And even if it doesn't, it can be an incredible pocket-universe style throwaway joke. Well done!
@1:01 Alan's "What do you mean? :D" delivery is so good.
You always manage to take Bored where I least expect it. Not once did I think that Rowan had been unknowingly married this entire time. But that is so him to completely miss the point through the whole thing. Classic.
Honestly, I love the way Alan enjoys this while questioning poor clueless Rowan xD
I remember the episode when Rowan was all alone trying to sleep in car and sobbing, then the guys from shop came to drink beers with him to cheer him up. And now he's got a flat, a wife, a family and a bunch of relatives. That's a growth!
Feel like this is the most civil conversation they've had in a while.
I can imagine his kids fighting and Rowan walking in going “what’s going on!”
paycut! paycut!
@@ZikuthAllowance cut for you. Allowance cut for you. 🤣😆
Not even walking in, just sort of popping up from behind the kitchen counter or something.
"Friendship party" .... roflmao 😂😂😂😂😂
This gets funnier every time I watch it again!
She did tell him it was a “friendship party” as they were “just friends”
Makes you wonder how many Really Good Friends he's made over the years
I like to imagine that off work, Rowan is the nicest and most chill person and everyone thinks that he is a great friend, but for him, its just a bunch of strangers and passing associates.
@@wjzav1971but his social media presence states otherwise, while Adam keeps hitting the million subscriber count daily lol.
You forgot the quote marks "really good friends" that's how he used to put emphasis on things 😂 maybe that's how he got married, she said 'this is our "friendship" vows' and 'sleeping together "saves money' and 'these are "not your kids"'
I was thinking the same thing about "air quotes". Maybe his "friend" was the one who convinced him of how they "work". Although I guess now Britt can be off, "not ducking" Brad! @@costascostas1760
@@costascostas1760 What? I suggest that You, Check your own "Punctuation", Before you Criticize, Someone Else's!😠

Smart lady tricked him into a “friendship”
The baby crying in the background with Rowan looking blankly into oblivion with perplexity and the “I’ve been through some shit” look. 👌❤️(baby crying brought back some flashbacks, parents know the look, of joy and horror.)
"I don't have a girlfriend. I just know a girl who would get really mad if she heard me say that." -Mitch Hedberg
I've gotta say, this is the third time I'm back to watch this episode. I absolutely love the OG Bored vibes. It's as funny as any skit but feels like it fits right in with the first 30 or so episodes of Bored. That second stores was such a perfect location and i love seeing such a large store front back in the series again. The Kick-starter was well worth it. Can't wait to see what more you can do with it.
Just loving this vibe again
Jennifer Lawrence would be heart broken to hear Rowan is married now.
Is that a reference to a skit I don't know about?
@@wjzav1971 It is. Look up "vldl sugar daddy"
The scammer friend David catfished Rowan, wearing her mask.
Plus she tends to announce her attraction to guys that are already taken, a homewrecker, a jezebel, a floozy!
She goes through men faster than most people go through a box of donuts
We are definitely going to need a cameo from the real Claire playing Claire.
True.
I did want this to have a follow up episode between Adam and Alan where rowan is in the background just stunned. When Adam asks Alan what's wtong Alam just goes "Oh him? He just found out he's married."
We really need more of this story line 😅
And Rowan in a kitchen apron and a vacuum cleaner.
I was screaming my head off when Alan asked "how long have you guys like lived together". His face at that moment is unforgettable!
Accidentally getting married is so relatable. Like you just walk into court, and so long as two other people are the, you sign this agreement to be best friends for life and it is legally binding so you can't just separate to encourage that you two work things out first. But the two of you not only cut costs by living together but it also makes it super convenient to help clear their head when one of you had been having a dry spell and it is starting to effect your mental health. So much that you prevent the issues in the first place.
Well, you've done it Alan. You've broken Rowan. Congrats.
Rowan didn't even get a second packing crate to take his "friend" to Hawaii with him? Grounds for unfriending, right there!
I think Rowan thought he was being clever saving money when his friend invited him on her holiday to Hawaii. She flew, he posted himself. We can't see the Hawaii pics "because she was, like, all over me in the hotel. And the beach! I mean it was like we were a newly married couple or something!"
I think, this is their last "normal" conversation between Rowan and Alan
This one threw me back in a good way. Some classic Rowan v Alan shenanigans are always a treat and at the beginning of this series it was just those two too
I hope this is some kind of turning point for Rowan to become a decent manager or something. Maybe similar to the manager when they first started the Bored series.
