@@TheRambunctious if that third point wasn't made than I wouldn't have even liked this video. There is so much more to the Crusades than fighting turks and taking back the Holy City. The first Crusade was a just war because it had pure intentions but the rest of them were for selfish indevors. It's important to point out that the Crusaders were not accurately depicting our religion at the time, so more skeptical viewers can appreciate that this channel acknowledges the Crusaders were no saints.

It is only supported in the air by the foundations of the other two. Because it is important that Christians know that warfare is part of life, and that sometimes Christians are called to it. And so, Christians, who also serve in militaries the world over, should learn how to rightly wage war so that more are protected. In that, Christians become like Abraham their father and receive blessings from their Melchizedek likewise.

I’m not for or against any religion. But this video has a specifically tailored message and they’re heavily skewing the actual history, and worse than they they’re pulling specific points out of their context. Point three is very important however, the murder and theft caused by the crusaders should not be used to define Christianity. But do keep in my mind that those “crusaders” were fighting against their Christian brothers the Byzantines, which is what weakened the Byzantines to the point that the Seljuks could invade. They then swore and oath to conquer all land in the name of the Byzantines but then they keep the land for themselves. They also slaughtered everyone indiscriminately in each city that they took, including fellow Christians. Just take a look at the 4th crusade if you want to understand how the crusades were simply power hungry lords with ungodly motives.

They Freed Christians who had been enslaved, so I don’t think we can assume peoples intentions are all alined, all we can do is speculate based upon the evidence we have, we can’t question them. I know that when the Christian nations were invaded woman and children were 🍇ed and made slaves, they were forced to deny there faith leading to eternity in H🔥 or pay a fee to humiliate them they were treated like animals and there 👧🏻 to this day are kidnaped and “married” to there kidnappers by those same R___n, So I am grateful that we do not live under that kind of rule thanks to what the church did, were all the soldiers, GOD fearing man? No, I would say not all if there were, if they had been No innocent person would’ve been harmed!

I wouldn't suggest anyone shows this to a class without playing a video from a separate perspective. I also usually can tell a video is unreliable when the comment sections is entirely bible quotes. I prefer statistics. I would like to see someone argue this side of the argument who is not Christian or religious.

This is an apologetics channel not a historical channel. This video us intended to equip Christians with knowledge necessary to navigate difficult conversations. You should taper your expectations accordingly. You wouldn't expect the Black Lives Matter organization to give an unbias history of slavery would you? Even so, bias doesn't mean that BLM is incapable of delivering a factual record. Advocacy groups and organizations like BLM and What Would You Say are well within their rights and scope of mission to produce media that strengthens their positions without having to stealman opposing positions. Of course, if you are a teacher, you should seek multiple sources; though your criteria for reliability is has a faulty basis. Specifically, you commit a hasty generalization fallacy and irrelevant premises fallacy. Perhaps the bias that is most difficult to discern is the bias we hold ourselves, do you think?

The real story is that Muslims and Christians were living peacefully in Jerusalem, until the Pope Vatican ordered western Christian leaders to unite under what he called called sacred war against Muslims in Jerusalem after his observation to leaders' disunion and their fight with each other, so seljuk Muslims defended this holy land from the first crusade attack "which is showed in this video as them killing innocent Christians!", so the Pope Vatican would gain from this war a unification to Christian leaders, gain control on the holy land and gain strategic site of Jerusalem with its high valued resources... I think deep down at least some people know Christianity is true but do not want to be accountable to their Creator, so they will find any reason, like the Crusades, to discount Christianity. You can’t define Christianity by the collective actions of its adherents. It is defined by the person of Jesus Christ. Christians do some things that reflect Christ, and do some things that reflect the fallen nature of man. Christians are a work in progress.
This video implicitly makes a good point with regards to history. One must understand the context in which the people of the past were living in order to understand their actions. It is both arrogant and naive to judge other actions of those in the past based on your current context.

God states "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." and the four centuries of islamic conquest of christians lands before the 1st crusade ? Syria, Palestine, Irak, Armenia, Egypt, North Africa, Spain and Portugal were christians and then conquered by muslims. During four centuries mulims pushed (of course they calm down after one and a half century due to intern conflict between them but still, they always tried to push more into christians lands) it was 2/3 of all christians lans on the world (know to the europeans, because they didn't know of the kingdom of Ethiopia in Africa who was christian). How do you want them to respond to a threat that last for 4 centuries ? with kiss and hugs ?
Plus, you forgot that the crusade unified christians through all europe, a prowess for that time ! despite many differences, people were unified by their faith and decide to fight for the sake of their faith/
And how do you think muslims would have react if christians have taken Mecqua and forbidd pelgrims to goes in ? Would they ask kindly the christians to stop ? No, muslims would have launch a Jihad without question.
The crusades were a legitimate respond to this threat. Especially when Alexios Komnenos ask for help to the Pope because his empire was more and more under the threat of seldjuks turks. (initialy he was only asking mercenaries but instead he got ten of thousands of knights, imagine his shock and joy and sceptisism XD)
Sure a lot of bad thing happened during the crusades and Lords have taken advantage of the situation to have more power and lands (even at this time it was eavily criticise by pilgrims of threatened the lords to destroy the cities they conquered if they do not concentrate on the crusade)
People show the muslims as the innocent one. My respond is that none is innocent. Sure it was legit to respond to Islam threat with a crusade, but the lords who commit atrocities along the way to gain wealth and power (despite this we can admire their boldness, courage, intelligence, etc. that drive them to be remember in history) are to condemn. The massacre of Jerusalem that happened in the end of the 1st crusade is to condemn, even the scribes of the crusaders were horrified, even the church was like : dude wtf ?!
The story of the crusade is passionate and complicated. But people must remember why it happened instead of saying : "they were dumb fanatics religious barbaric who murdered the peacefull muslims who were kind and tolerant." because that's not true.

This is woefully inadequate on so many levels but, especially:
1: You have completely ignored 460+ years of unprovoked islamic aggression against Christendom including:
635 A.D. Three years after Mohammed's death Muslim forces captured Damascus (where St. Paul was heading when he had his dramatic conversion).
    636 A.D. Muslim forces take al-Basra.
637 A.D. Muslim forces take Antioch, where the disciples of Jesus were first called, “Christians”.
638 A.D. Muslim forces take Jerusalem, the Holy City of both Christianity and Judaism.
639 A.D. Muslim forces invade Egypt, a largely Christian country.
642 A.D. Muslim forces take Alexandria, destroying its Great Library.
650 A.D. Muslim forces take Cappadocia (in modern day Turkey).
652 A.D. Muslim forces launch attacks against Sicily, eventually conquering it in 827 A.D.
668 A.D. Muslim forces launch the first siege of Constantinople (Byzantium), many more were to follow.
711 A.D Muslim forces begin the invasion of the Iberian Peninsula (modern day Spain).
715 A.D. Spain almost completely conquered by Muslim forces (an occupation that would last for more than 700 years), they begin to press on into France.
732 A.D. Muslim forces finally stopped at Tours, Northern France, by Charles Martel, king of the Franks.
792 A.D. Muslim forces launch a jihad (called by Hisham, Muslim ruler of Spain) against France, but are turned back after sacking several cities, killing many and enslaving more.
838-972 A.D. Muslim forces take Frejus, near Cannes in Southern France and use it as a base to raid France and Northern Italy. Christian pilgrims to Rome are frequently robbed, murdered and kidnapped by Muslim slavers in the Alps.
846 A.D. After nearly two centuries of increasing raids on southern Italy, Muslim forces sack Rome, desecrating the tombs of Sts. Peter and Paul, destroying many churches and carrying off hundreds of slaves.
848 A.D. A third Muslim army crosses the Pyrenees and invades France, once again destroying towns and cities, killing and enslaving before being driven back.
870 A.D. Muslim forces capture the island of Malta.
873 A.D. Muslim forces launch massive slave raids in Calabria, Northern Italy, leaving the province devastated and depopulated.
878 A.D. Muslim forces destroy the city of Syracuse, killing most of its inhabitants and enslaving the survivors.
935 A.D. Fatimid Muslim forces capture the city of Genoa, Northern Italy.
976 A.D. The Fatimid Caliph of Egypt sends repeated military expeditions to Southern Italy for slaves and booty.
1004-14 A.D. The sixth Fatimid Caliph, Abu Ali al-Mansur al-Hakim, destroys thirty thousand Christian churches, seizing their lands and possessions.
1003-1009 A.D. Saracen raiders increase attacks on the Italian West coast, including Pisa and Rome, from their base on Sardinia.
1009 A.D. Hakim destroys the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (in Jerusalem), he orders Christians to wear heavy wooden crosses and Jews to wear heavy wooden calves around their necks.
1010 A.D. Hakim orders Christians and Jews to accept Islam (convert) or leave his dominions.
1010 A.D. Muslim forces capture the city of Cosenza, in Southern Italy.
1056 A.D. Three hundred Christians are expelled from Jerusalem and European Christian pilgrims are denied access to the (rebuilt) Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
1071 A.D. Muslim forces crush the Byzantines at the battle of Manzikert, taking the Byzantine Emperor, Romanus IV Diogenes, prisoner.
1076 A.D. Muslim forces (Seljuk Turks) conquer Syria, a Christian country.
1077 A.D. The Seljuks take Jerusalem, slaughtering over three thousand Christians and Jews.
1077 A.D. Onwards, the Seljuks attack Christian pilgrims, killing and enslaving thousands and denying access to the Holy Land to European Christians.
1095 A.D. The Byzantine Emperor, Alexius I Comnenus, sends a letter to Pope Urban II, asking for help.
1095 A.D. At the Council of Clermont, Pope Urban II calls for European Christians to defend Constantinople and reopen access to the Holy land and, especially, Jerusalem; the First Crusade.
2: Your third point is both erroneous and cowardly. The Crusaders were acting entirely according to the teachings of Christianity, just as jihadis are acting entirely according to the teachings of islam (BTW, I deliberately choose not to capitalise islam and muslim, etc). This milquetoast "Let's all pretend religion is just about being nice and ignoring our differences" kumbaya garbage is one of the main reasons the world is in such dire straits today. Did some of those who took part in the Crusades commit acts which were reprehensible and below the standards to be expected of a Christian soldier? Yes, without question. They were Fallen, flawed human beings just like me and you and everybody else. A GIGANTIC difference between Christianity and islam is that we CAN and DO criticise those who fight for Christ in a way that besmirches the honour owed to Him and His Church. Whereas, islam positively GLORIES in the barbaric murders committed in the name of its false idol. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Light, no man comes to the Father except through Him and the Church He established. All other religions are, by the words of the second person of the Holy Trinity, false by definition.

In full disclosure, I am not "Catholic." I am a Bible-based Christian evangelical who has seen and learned far too much in his lifetime to associate good and evil to a specific denomination based upon the actions of its practitioners.
I assume your facile four-word question was meant to be "Weren't the Crusades (and Inquisitions) dictated by the authority of the Roman Catholic Church and performed by Catholics?" with the assumption that, because they were, they were therefore evil and out of the scope of "Protestantism" because everyone knows that Catholicism is bad-bad-bad and no Protestant would ever do such a thing. The short answer would be, yes, the Catholic Church could be seen as the origin of the Crusades and Inquisitions, inasmuch as they each were (mostly) individually directed or authorized in some way by a bishop, cardinal or pope. The detailed answer is not so easy and requires far more than your four easy words without capitalization.
First, during the Crusades and during the earlier Inquisitions the Catholic (i.e. "universal") and Orthodox (i.e. "traditional") churches were pretty much the only religious bodies in regard to Judeo-Christian beliefs. Therefore, if a so-called holy war were to be declared in such times, it would be done by an officer of one of these denominations. As Constantinople was seen as a strategic waypoint to Jerusalem and was regularly attacked, the Crusades were not seen favorably by the adherents of those of the Orthodox denominations. Therefore, yes, the Roman Catholic Church of the Latin Rite was mostly responsible for the actions of Christian beligerents of the Crusades.
However, "Protestant" believers are hardly sinless and it is ridiculous to think that, just because one is not Catholic, one would never perform the atrocities on the level of the Crusades or, conversely, that all adherents of the Catholic catechism are evil and lost. I will not go into detail, as it would make an already long response extremely verbose, but I would direct the reader to research the actions of the Thirty-Years War, the persecution of both the Catholic *and* Lutheran (i.e. true Protestant) churches of the Anabaptist Calvinists, the modern-day "ministers" who knowingly warp God's word and profit from the false teachings on the ignorant, as well as the deplorable actions in the past 2000 years of any who have claimed to follow Christ and have persecuted the descendants of Israel.
I am also very glad to have the belief that there will be a final judgment, outside the biases of any mortal man, for an individual's iniquities, as well as the universal ability to achieve salvation through a specific Redeemer, independent of denomination, should one choose.

However, I would challenge one to qualify the actions of the Crusaders to the tenets of the Roman Catholic Catechism, rather than the earthly wishes of a man in pretty clothes deviating from them and the God they profess. I would also challenge the individual to consider whether he would be "marching to God's glory" if he were living during that time.

The findings are represented in four tables leading to a comparative evaluation of violence in seven different religious and civilizational traditions. The findings show that the Christian civilization was responsible for the largest amount of killings in history! The results are as follows:
    1. Christian Civilization - caused ca 236 million deaths
    2. Antitheist Civilization(former Communist Block) - caused ca 124 million deaths.
    3. Sinic Civilization (East Asian) - caused ca 107 million deaths.

Actually it was even worse than this. The part of crusaders (Templars) began accumulating a lot of wealth and lending it to kings and feudal lords, сharging the interest. This practice angered Philip the First, the king of France and he managed to arrest the Templars, accusing them of heresy. His men used torture and got testimonies from some Templars, confirming the accusations. But... the Pope, furious that one of the holy monastic orders (Templars) were being treated like criminals, interfered. He insisted to сonduct a new investigation and drop all initial charges. The king's judges were replaced by inquisitors who stopped torture and started questioning the testimonies. The result left the Pope very surprised. It turned out that many Templars not only confirmed their previous testimonies but gave more detailed descriptions of what was going on. The Templar Order did indeed fall into heresy, but not only heresy. Templars officials forced their new members to engage in male sex with superiors, forced them to trample on the cross, to execrate Christ, to tear off Bible. The goal was not only to instil some heretic belief but to break a person down, make him an obedient slave to the Templar bosses. The new members were told there was no way back, that if they resist, they will be killed on the spot. They were told that their family would be told a different story, that they would be labeled heretics who tried to infiltrate the Holy Order and were killed. So the family would not get even their corpse to bury, their bodies would be burned as heretics and traitors. In short, Templars became totalitarian cult, oppressing his members and abusing their power. The Pope, given the new horrible testimony had to give in (though later the Pope still managed to get even with the king, saying that he found no heresy in that case). The Templars were again in the hands of the king who, infuriated with delay and interference, applied even more torture. The Templars leaders afterwards were burned, the Templar order banned, many members (of low rank) scattered and most of them tried to forget the past. Many, many years later the descendants of the cult, re-wrote history and told everyone eager to listen about the benevolent knights who 'meant only good' and about evil Pope and evil inquisitors who abused and tortured them, so they had to give false testimony (to save the others). The true story was forgotten and even later, when Templars were branded religious Christian fanatics, they were still viewed as honest fanatics... Which in turn led many romantic conservatives create songs and write books about 'heroic Templars' who 'defended Christianity', alas, not knowing of the Order's terrible end... Yes, Templars were initially honest but their wealth and power led them to perversions and abuse, then to anti-Christian cult who murdered anyone trying to expose it. A sad story indeed.
P.S. Everything above is pure Imho, of course. Fun fact - the Templars (among other charges) were accused of worshipping the severed head. What was that head (or did they worship it or it was jjust a rumour) no one knows (for no one saw it). The PC game Doom II (1994) had the severed head as part of the level called 'Icon of sin' - apparently someone among those who developed the game knew religious history very well.

I claim that it is grossly immoral to punish for not the sole reason of a person not believing when we in this day and age have been giving no just cause to believe.
      2. I dont believe now because after digging deep into myself and questioning why I believe such preposterous claims, I realized that my only reason is because the people I loved and that took care of me and raised me taught me to believe but they had no just reason for believing either. Even when I believed, I was a lover of science and reason. I think its beautiful that science does not want or require any ones belief to exist, and scientists are humble enough to be willing to change their ways of thinking based on new and improved evidence and research. Kind of like how epileptics are not possessed by demons but have a physical abnormality in their bodies/brains.
      3. If you think I or non believers view life as meaningless because I dont believe in nonsense any longer, you could not be further from the truth. The fact that life is finite and we have little time here makes me want to try and live my life with many experiences and try and leave this world better then how I found it. '' O you who believe! stand out firmly for God, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the > HATRED OF OTHERS TO YOU < make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear God. For God is well-acquainted with all that ye do. ''
    Quran 4:58
'' Indeed, God commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which God instructs you. Indeed, God is ever Hearing and Seeing.''
    ( God's The Rules Of War )
    Quran 2:190
'' Fight in the way of God > THOSE WHO FIGHT YOU < but do not transgress. Indeed. God does not like transgressors. ''
    Quran 2 :193
'' And fight them on until there is no more oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. ''
    Quran 4:90
''.........So if they withdraw from you and cease their hostility and offer you peace, in that case Allah has not granted you permission to fight against them.''
    Quran 8:61
''And if they seek peace, then you also seek it, and put your trust in God. He is the Hearer, the Knowledgeable.''
( Stand Up For Justice )
    Quran 4 :135O
'' Ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against > YOURSELVES, < or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for God can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily God is well-acquainted with all that ye do.''
( Who Are The Good Human Beings? )
    Quran 177
'' Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in God, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, IN SPITE OF LOVE FOR IT, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives charity; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. ''
( Freedom To Believe And To Reject )
    Quran 2:256
'' Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error ''
    Quran 10:99
'' And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then would you compel the people in order that they become believers? ''
( Tolerance For Other Religions )
    Quran 109: 1- 6
    Say,"O disbelievers,
I do not worship what you worship.
Nor are you worshipers of what I worship.
Nor will I be a worshiper of what you worship.
Nor will you be worshipers of what I worship.
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."
( Protection for Idol Worshiper )
    Quran 9:6
"And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are people who do not know. "
    Quran16:125
“Call people to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good teaching, and argue with them in the most courteous way”
    Quran7:199 “Be tolerant....”
( Friendship With Non Muslims )
    Quran 60:8
'' God does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, God loves those who act justly. ''
( Do Christians And Jews and "OTHER" non-Muslims go to Heaven? )
    Quran 2:62
    '' Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,->ANY { On Judgement Day }
( According to the Quran Christians and Jews worship TRUE God )
    (Quran 3:113-114)
'' Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book ( Christians and Jews ) are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of God all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in God and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous.''
Note: According to the Quran that Jesus is not God nevertheless Christians still worship one '' TRUE '' God.
( Allah Is The Protector Of Monasteries, Churches, Synagogues And The Mosques )
    Quran 22:40
[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is God ." And were it not that God checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of God is much mentioned. And God will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, God is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
( Why Are There So Many Different Religions In The World ? )
    Quran 5 48
''...... If God wanted He could have made all of you a single nation. But He willed otherwise in order to test you in what He has given you;(scriptures) therefore try to excel one another in good deeds. Ultimately you all shall return to God; then He will show you the truth of those matters in which you '' DISPUTE.''
    NOTE:
    Quran 3:85
''If anyone desires a religion other than Islam ("submission" to God), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good)''
    My explanation of above verse
    Islam mean "submission" to God
( The above verse saying is that God will not accept a religion from the "MUSLIM" and the Non-Muslims but total "submission" to God.)
Question: How Can Muslim And the Non-Muslim "submit" to the God?
Answer: Be kind to other human beings and Do not lie, Do not steal, Do not cheat, Do not hurt others, Do not be prideful and Do the charity work.
( God Allow Muslims To Marry And Eat Food From the Christian And Jew And Vice Versa )
    Quran 5;5
''This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture ( Christian and Jew) is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture ( Christian and Jew) before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.''
    ( Kindness Toward Atheists / Apostate )
    Quran 60:8
'' As for such [of the unbelievers( atheist)] as do not fight against you on account of [your] faith, and neither drive you forth from your homelands, God does not forbid you to show them kindness and to behave towards them with full equity: for, verily, God loves those who act equitably. ''
( All The Terrorists / Killers Will Enter Hell Fire )
    Quran 5:32
"......Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely......"
( Turned Your Enemies Into Your Best Friends )
    Quran 41:34
"The good deed and the evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil deed with one which is better, then lo! he, between whom and thee there was enmity (will become) as though he was a bosom friend."
( The Husband and The Wife Are > Protecting Friends < One Of Another )
    Quran 9:71
''And the believers, men and women, are > Protecting Friends < one of another; they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and they establish worship and they pay the poor-due, and they obey God and His messenger. As for these, God will have mercy on them. Lo! God is Mighty, Wise.''
    Quran16:97
“To whoever, male or female, does good deeds and has faith, We shall give a good life and reward them according to the best of their actions.
    Quran 30:21
“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy…”
The Prophet Muhammad said, “Heaven lies under the feet of your mother.”
( Human Are One family )
    Quran 49:13
" O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)."
( All The Racist People Will Enter Hellfire )
    Quran 30:22
"And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge."
    My comment:
The '' BASIC '' message of God to the human is that '' YOU '' believe in God and be kind to other human beings / animals and in the > RETURNED < God will reward ''YOU'' with a new life in Paradise.
    * The Quran ONLY guides you how to become a good human being "Nothing Else".
    * You are a good human being or a bad human being that is YOUR choice.
    * No one can force you to become a good human being.
    * You MUST work HARD to become a good human being.
    * Why should ''YOU'' do good deeds and avoid bad deeds?
    * Do Good - it's for You. Do Bad - It's against you.
    * '' YOUR'' life is a TEST from God that you will choose to do either Good or Bad.
    .
    * Find the excuse to help others and forgive others NOT the other way around.
    .
    * '' YOUR '' final destination is either Hell or Heaven.
    .
    * So work HARD toward choice of YOUR destination.
    .
    Quran 17:7
'' If you do good, you will do so for your own good. And if you do evil, it will be to your own loss.''..

Considering that the earliest known Islamic evidence, is 600yrs after Jesus Christ...
And that things like the Dead Sea Scroll's, contain New Testament texts that means that...
If the Quran contradicts the Bible, the Quran is wrong. And the Quran frequently contradicts the Bible.
And unless you're capable of paying Jesus Christ back for creating you, you are incapable of saving yourself from the consequences for your sin.
And the Bible is quite clear, rejecting Jesus Christ is rejecting God & God's offered Grace for our sins.
      Thereby rejecting Heaven.

To understand this correctly you have to read psalm 50:16:22. When you find out the truth of the colour of the Jews and the colour of the Christians, it paints the picture of what was really happening. Does KKK ring a bell? Christians would kill Jews , persecuting those Jews who had rejected their Messiah. What happened to those who accepted the Messiah? They weren't appointed wrath, in other words they Vanished. This was why the remainder of the Jews were appointed to wrath. The wrath manifested itself in forced Christian conversions of Jews to be baptised as Christians and eventually the slave trade of Jews via Christians too. Doing this hid who the Jews really were and they were never known as jews ever again. This was what was known as 'crafty counsel' that the gentiles (christians) did to GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE. PSALMS 83:1-8. This is why Jesus says in prophecy, "away from me, I never knew you", to ALL CHRISTIANS". Because all your prayers and fasts were to a god of the wrong image , hence Christianity is in error;Jeremiah 16:19. Because the sins of the fathers are on the Son's too and for many generations, now you can understand the SLAVERY of Christians mentioned in Isaiah 14, checkmate!!!!

So a little more information this channel conveniently left out about the Crusaders. The way the church motivated these men to fight in the them was very unchristian. They told men that their sins would be paid if they fought in this just war. That is not how salvation works.
This video only focuses on the first crusade and gives a very bias explanation to the fight, my history would not be happy with this, and he is Christian. There are several other crusades that happened after the city was taken back and they were done with greedy intentions.
As Christians we shouldn't justify the Crusaders. We need to acknowledge this isn't a perfect depiction of our religion. More people walk away from the church because Christians can't seem to acknowledge the mistakes made in our faith not because mistakes happened. So let's try to be better about acknowledging our flaws in our history as a religion.

i agree. unfortunately its been hard explaining to people that just because these things were done in the name of God, it doesn't mean that God is pleased by these things. many things have been done with fake christians using God in vain, as an "excuse" to do horrible things. but yeah, people keep believing it represents God as well.

I think the pogroms and inquisitions performed throughout the Middle Ages in Europe were far crueler and more insidious. Even if you were a Christian, having unOrthodox beliefs was enough to have you put to death. Any religion which states that they are the only true religion, that nonbelievers must be converted and blasphemers must be punished will inevitably incite some people to violence.

No it really doesn't the first one addresses the cause of the crusades. That being over 400 years of Islamic Invasion. The second one addresses the mind set held by the crusaders and many christians at the time. The third shows that Christianity is not a monolith i.e something those who believe in indentity politics would not understand.
Also Christianity was founder on the teachings of Jesus.. So while the Crusaders were in reaction to islamic invasions and the belief was that it was in defense of christianity. Does not make the Crusades something that Jesus command Christians do.
