Irvine is a beautiful, clean & safe city!!! I lived there for 10 years! In all honesty its expensive but for a purpose, it keeps the “riff raff” out! As long as you can afford to live here it doesn’t make any difference who you are, what you look like or where you come from it welcomes you!! I loved being able to walk to my local market at any time of the day & not having to look over my shoulder. Mornings in Irvine are THE BEST!! It’s not for the young who want a “lively” city, its’ not for the person who can’t follow the laws & rules.
Been in Irvine for 40+ years and glad I never left. It's a very nice quiet and peaceful place to live, god I'm old. Only the newer houses in Irvine have Mello Roos taxes and there are still plenty of housing tracts without any HOA's? My father purchased our house for 100k and now it's worth over a million? Talk about a good investment. Thank Jesus he knew what he was doing or I might be amongst the homeless population in Tustin. Mom, Dad and Brother have all recently passed away on me and it's a very sad and quiet house without them but, I can't bring myself to leave. The memories are too much and it's a good thing! Irvine is a Gold Mine. Houses here are definitely not worth the money but they do keep going up in value. Location, Location, Location. The cleanest, safest city with the best school districts obviously make a huge impact on the Asian, Indian and Persian communities. It is great that you can leave your car unlocked all night without a break-in or forget to close the garage door without being killed in the middle of the night.... Knock on wood! Idiot! I don't think I'm going anywhere anytime soon myself....I'm Good!
Pros: Clean and safe, good jobs, well maintained homes, great weather, IUSD, IVC and UCI. Cons: Horrifyingly dystopian urban planning. Thanks, Irvine Company. Even downtown doesn't feel like a downtown. It's all exclusionary zoning, the mass transit is awful (people who work the restaurants and hotels could use it even if people in Shady Canyon wouldn't), the train station is in the least pedestrian friendly area imaginable, and the most walkable area is the Spectrum which you have to drive to and park in a garage to enjoy. Oh, and it's really expensive, particularly if you're a QA tester at Blizzard or anyone else who makes less than $100k (you know, like the police who keep us safe and the teachers and professors at the award winning schools). I do appreciate that the Irvine Company is starting to do some higher density infill projects, adding some 4300 more units, which will ease some of the housing crunch for entry level professionals.
Yay 😀 I love hearing that because I feel we are definitely more affordable in comparison to a handful of areas, los angles being another one. More bang for your buck in Irvine
I’m going have to get in touch with you my love because I’m moving there soon I just have a Question do kids have to get the vaccines to go to school because I don’t want my kids to get it
@@guerline685 you know what. Let check on this for you. My friends son goes to a Christian school and there is one right near my home. I will absolutely check. 😀

I love clean safe place and it’s predominantly Asian. Everyone is welcome
We love the safe neighborhoods and amazing school district!
I lived in Irvine for 10 years, then moved out when I realized I was the only non Asian in my neighborhood. I like mixed better.
Having come from the Bay Area, specifically from the Peninsula/South Bay, it’s way way cheaper in Irvine. 😎

Thanks for your explanation 👍 This is Korea.

Yes they do have to get vaccinated out here…I’m sure that was not the answer you wanted to hear.

How safe is Irvine CA particularly late at night?
Very dangerous. There’s a gang of unruly raccoons terrorizing unsuspecting pedestrians at night.
There is college for international students?
I think you have to be an international student to even enter the city
@@socaljarhead7670 of course I live now in Morocco I would love to study zn intensive english program in Irvine California
No Mello Roos has ever been removed and you left off the scourge of HOAs - cost and dictatorial intrusion
This was just an overview...more to come :)
Pros- it’s clean
Cons- no American citizens
No liquor stores
