I’m glad you enjoy this because you should be getting paid so much more - your photos especially of the city scapes are gorgeous and I feel like it’s just not fair that you’re not getting paid a lot more and after watching your last two videos I’m not going to waste my time doing all of this because you make like $.10 an hour it sounds like And if I spent that much time at the computer, my tendinitis would be so bad I’d been in the hospital 😅 thank you for sharing though. You’re very easy to listen to and your attitude is so amazing. You have a very grateful heart.🙏🏻🤗
Ha ha... the hospital? These days, it does feel like stock photography is a lot of effort for very little reward. Lucky its just a hobby! Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thanks for sharing Jeff! Interesting results with motion array thus far. I am finally uploading a few Bulgaria and Czech Republic images. I’ll need to get to editing my Portugal and Spain image as well 😂
Where did you travel in Portugal?
We were in Lisbon only. Us and over 1,000,000 youths who were there to see the Pope. Who knew that was going to happen...... Will be nice to see some of those new photos hitting your earnings report.

I didn't get in touch with Alex. Things were pretty hectic and I think he was headed back to Brazil. Would have been fun to walk around with someone and take some photos in real life!
@JWhyte123 oh bummer. I totally get it, though. We had a great time doing a photo walk earlier this year. I need to do more of those with other photographers!

Hello. I look forward to your movie every month. Thanks to you, I started uploading to Motion Array. 50 downloads in 10 days in July. Which made $5. And in August, $1 and 15 downloads. A total of 149 videos added. I hope the algorithms will be in our favor. Regards and fruitful sales in August😊

Well done for July, Jeff and another interesting and helpful video. Hopefully, we can see some of your work in Spain and Portugal! I joined Motion Array after you mentioned it a few months ago. I uploaded the required five images for initial review about five weeks ago, and they are still showing as ‘under review’. Did you have the same initial delay, and how long is the review process once you are accepted? I’m still uploading to BlackBox (317 clips) and have made three sales. I’m off to Africa (and three days in India) next week for a couple of weeks, so I am very excited about taking plenty of photos and videos - editing and uploading should keep me ‘off the streets’ for a month or two when I get back!
Hmmmm..... I don't think review time was that long to be honest, although things slow in the summer perhaps? Double check your emails with Motion Array. I seem to remember having ignored an email that required some confirmation info that almost got my application deleted. Your comment about being kept off the streets editing Africa / India photos made me laugh! So true. I would love to go to those places. So different. Have a great trip!

Thanks. I use one account for each site, all photos, videos, illustrations included via that single account.
Hi Jeff, just a quick question, I am about to reach Level 3 at SS and am wondering if that will change the average RPD. It didn’t change when I moved from Level 1 to 2. I continued to receive 10c per download for images, exceptions apart. What’s been your experience? Thanks.
Hey how are you! I am level 4 right now and I hit level 5 last year. I really felt like the changes were very minimal but when I was level 5 it actually felt like I was making an increased amount. But the lower levels almost felt like nothing changed. Its strange, because even at level 5 you get the 10 cent downloads.
@@JWhyte123 That is really shocking. The sums don’t add up. No wonder there were many unhappy contributors on the SS forum which made the agency close it down. The return is so small considering the amount of effort we put into it. AS seems to be much more ethical. But there is a mystery about what they accept as editorial contents. Five of my images were rejected today for not meeting their criteria. There were no people in those images and they are popular landmarks in London. I wish they were a bit more clear about what editorial images are acceptable. In the long run I wonder about future of stock photography. Anyway, keep up the good work. I always enjoy your videos and learn from them.
Thanks! Adobe Stock is getting a little more uncertain as far as uploads go. As far as shutterstock goes? I want it to stay strong because Adobe Stock can't be the only major player in the market or they will start reducing commissions as well. Good luck with your uploads!

Not sure what your asking. I cover my Wirestock toward the end of my report since its a smaller earner.
@@JWhyte123 just surprised you haven’t removed portfolio after all the changes they have made. Seems like it would be more profitable to move those assets to other platforms.
It is mostly duplication. Basically, I took extra shots from shoots that I hadn't uploaded and then added them to Wirestock to see if there was any upside to selling on that platform. I am happy to just leave them on Wirestock and let things sit as they are until earning stops.
Thanks, this was very interesting. Do you see any risk with uploading photos of book covers? I'm wondering if there could be any copyright issues, even as editorial submission. Do you know how the stock agencies see this? Thanks!
Interesting thoughts Chris. I am not too worried about uploading on an editorial basis. There is so much content that brings out the same issue of copyright and generally no issues come up. It seems like the sites are generally fine since there are so many similar images uploaded and available.
Shutterstock is shite. The rest of them are good, happy with Getty Images/iStock and Adobe Stock seem to always be a great performer.

That's too bad. I guess you can always reapply in the future if still interested.
