Actually soka fell in love with Yue rather than Suki he loved her immensely in this entire series even in a episode where everyone was viewing their love ones in spirit way soka viewed Yue ...Suki was only a flirty frnd I can say there wasn't anything serious he anyway hated her at first but he fell in love with Yue at the first sight

After all this years it’s still one of the saddest scenes in the series. But I still can’t wait for Suki and Sokka they are my fav.
They are lovely in any adaptation ..loved the small changes , some like she haviny bending skills , i even remember seeing in fans ideas , how yue has her spark of "normal girl" , here sokka and her has the short but impactful love like in the cartoon.
I just wish they gave her the blue eyes 😭😭 that’s one of the things I loved about princess yue. The white hair and blue eyes combo just made her attractive to me
Right ! I also don't understand why Kataras eyes aren't blue either. It is not like people from these regions couldn't have blue eyes, even when it's pretty rare. I mean people can bend in that world, putting on blue contacts shouldn't be an issue.

@@fmuoasl27You know what ? I just realized that Sokka didn't have blue eyes either in the show here 😂 But for some reason i don't mind the actor to not wear contacts. I think for him it could look a little weird (i saw a mock up for the show were one photoshopped his eyes blue and it wasn't fitting) but the girls would have definitely rocked it.
Yue is so beautiful that I could *almost* forgive that wig.

true, the exact same thing i thought, i'd rather take the yue from the awful movie, she looked a lot more natural, hair didn't look so fake and she didn't look like some 30 year old smoking single mom in her mid life hair styling crisis with fake looking wigs
@@abhee017 ok i actually just wanted to give some small rant about the relationship issues, but ended up in writing some sort of review for the series
yeah exactly, the pacing really is not good, like on kyoshi island they've known each other for just a day, did a little bit of training together, some special ''unintentional'' touches and then they just started kissing after the battle, on that scene i don't remember exactly about the og series (i've checked afterwards, suki kissed his cheek) but at least there the series gave a feeling that they've spent so much more time together in the meanwhile, so much more relationship development through the rough start they had and the insight sokka slowly developed, it felt more like they've known each other for at least a week, but as i said, their relationship building up on kyoshi island had so much more depth in the og series, LA series just gave that feeling of ''hey you're some handsome man, let's get a little bit closer'', a rushed buildup of a romance without depth with a kiss that had no point and showed no feelings between those characters, like producers had some check list ''suki and sokka kissing.. check''
same feeling on that yue and sokka kiss, it's like they've known each other for 30 min, again check list-feeling ''yue and sokka kissed in the og series, their kiss in live action... check'', again no depth, no buildup, just a little bit of deep talking, not much of personal or intimate stuff, he could've told any other person what he told yue and they just randomly start kissing, like ofc sokka liked her on first sight, he just heard she's some sort of single again now, but what justifies and explains them kissing out of nothing? they really just talked a little bit, came closer to each other out of nothing and started kissing, where's the connection and bond between them? they've just seen each other in the spirit world once and that was nothing about romance, sokka technically a complete stranger from another village/tribe, imagine this in real life, seen this random stranger some time somewhere on the street, then they randomly meet again and kiss each other without getting each other to know first, sadly it's again that ''we need a kiss for artificial, quick romance in the series now''-kiss, the og series just like in the suki-sokka-ship also showed a ton of more depth in this, the fact alone that they fell in love over the time but it would never even have worked because she already was engaged to hahn all the time which is not the case here
2 nice, romantic relationship buildups that really lost their depths, feelings and points in the live action adaptation, that whole book was narratively possible in those 8 episodes but they just wouldn't invest and spend more time in several scenes, moments, in relationship buildups like these and other side story sections
overall the series is actually good and fun to watch, i love all the eastereggs, the many many things tied to and coming from the original series, it's great watching as an avatar fan knowing the franchise for almost 2 decades, but they messed up the pacing with focussing too much on some stuff and by randomly re-arranging the story at some points, the whole omashu- and southern air temple-thing e.g. and that sucks especially as an avatar fan who knows the series inside out and by heart
i'd still recommend it for everyone that can look over those .. pacing and the not-1-by-1-story-adaptation, i really never get why ppl change so much on series and timeless masterworks, that're well-known for decades like this one, people actually know every scene of the series from start to end and they still change so much stuff, while they probably think like ''hey, it won't be noticed anyway'', while all they really gotta do, is just adaptating it 1 by 1 ..this is also my biggest, negative point/opinion of the series, because pacing and arrangement of the story could've easily been fixed by 1 by 1 adaptation, as simple as that, because if you know you get in charge for a beloved, popular series like this and you're really invested in it, you give it all your best, which means it also wouldn't have been a problem to make 1-2 episodes more, time waiting would be worth and netflix has the money for the production, in times where live action adaptations are being viewed in a skeptical way anyway it would've just been as simple as that, the 1 by 1 way because that's all what fans want and tbh the majority of the audience is consisting of fans of the series so it always goes best by giving them what they know from the original source material, no reason to change up stuff at all, that'll just upset them, in this case that would be everything done, because the series with all the love to detail, eastereggs etc was really well executed
nevertheless, i really recommend watching the series, especially if you already know about or have seen the movie, it's definitely 10000000x better than that movie

P.S. They should of just dyed the actress hair into platinum white with hair extensions instead of using the wig.
They should have used a real hair wig and dye it, like how it was done in the movie. When natural virgin hair is dyed into platinum blonde it is pretty risky, because it can destroy the hair, if not done correctly.

I mean it was before suki came into the picture... Sokka didn't knew of her existence back then. He can be blamed for many things but not that one 😂 Also like the comment above mentioned, when they watching the play Suki said: "You didn't told me, you were making out with the moon spirit once 😆" and Sokka (with tears in his eyes) replied with something like: "Shh this is very emontional for me" And then sukki was a little pissed because she could tell, he still had feeling for yue.

I just feel like the woman character in this Netflix Avatar was ok. Katara doesn't show much character, just confusion most of the time. Yue was ok. Like she doesn't even have the nice blue eyes she was suppose to portray. She was suppose to be iconic too with her white hair.
Honestly the only thing the movie did right was making the wig look like the actor's actual hair unlike the series.

Netflix's version was accurate to the show while Movie version's was original and good, both are great in their own way. I just cant with the movie version's hair, especially with how its shaped.
