Hey! Really enjoyed watching this video. Mario Kart DS has been my favorite game since I was a kid and I'm still in the community today cuz it's just such a great game with great people. I gotta say, for someone with not a lot of experience you played pretty decently, a lot better than people who refuse to MT at all! I think you covered the game pretty well. Obviously as someone with so much knowledge about it that people literally call me "The Voice of Mario Kart DS" I could nitpick a bunch of stuff and add things but you did a great job and I hope you make some more stuff on this game in the future! I'd also highly recommend watching a comprehensive tutorial video that myself and a few other karters made for this game that you can find on Pikalex's channel. Really helps with learning some tech and getting familiar with the advanced stuff. I'm rambling now but uh... love to see content like this :)

There was so much salt and debate over snaking in this game back in the day. Some said it sucks, it's a bug, it ruins the game. Others said it's a perfectly viable strat, it's an advanced technique, get good. Either way, if you weren't snaking online in MKDS, you weren't winning.

@@beanzard64 I've actually got an idea for something else you could do, you know how you hold A and B at the same time and move to turn in place? You should totally go on Luigi's Mansion, drive forwards onto the first set of stairs outside of the mansion, and turn in place!
well it was literally the VERY FIRST game that utilized online multiplayer that nintendo made and it was on a console that came out in 2004 so they couldn't get everything to sync completely right. That being said, with some cheats you can still play all the maps online but a few of them do have bugs with items disappearing.
i grew up with mkds so watching one of my favorite RUclips really made me happy. btw if u want to to get better at snaking i recommend playing figure 8 bc its only 2 turns.
Figure 8 is the best for learning how to snake not because of the 2 turns, but because it has 2 long straights (otherwise he could use Baby Park for snaking lessons, as well lol) Snaking usually refers to the snake-like movement on straights, not the turns

Dry Bones with Egg 1 is the most balanced combo for an all 32 tracks speedrun and for online play. ROB-BLS is only good for certain tracks in time trial like Figure-8 Circuit.

Well it’s barely possible blue shells online in MKDS because it 100cc but it’s possible it requires u to use a shroom and release ur mini turbo and hop on the same exact frame I think to dodge it but I know it possible.
It's enough to just use the drift boost and the hop. On 100cc, it's track specific tho, as it only works in positions, where the road makes your movement a bit quicker than usual
You need to have a router capable of connecting to the DS. Sadly, most modern ones don't really work for it, but if you have an android, you can use a mobile hotspot with no password. Besides that, it's as simple as typing in a DNS.
If you change your DNS settings on the DS, you can still play online through a custom server known as Wiimmfi. You just need to have a router/hotspot that supports the DS.
I never got a bomb in the “blast” crabs mini game. I did not know it had bo-bombs Also world 6 is not the final world. You gotta have 3 stars on every mission which unlocks world 7 and that’s how you get the new title screen

@@JaydonMario it's a typical problem with wiimmfi. It's not a great server, but the only one we have. You just have to continuously retry and pray it'll work
QUESTION: Does anyone have the newest DNS codes for Wiimmfi for the DS? Months ago, I tried to connect online to Wiimmfi on my DS, but I couldn't get any DNS code to work for the life of me, I kept getting error code 52100, a DNS error.

I've never played this game online before, but I have heard that some of the tracks aren't available online which I've always found strange.

For those that don’t know, there was supposed to be a Mission Mode in MK Wii but it got scrapped before the final release.

it's a little more than a frame for 150cc but on 100cc it's only possible on certain slippery surfaces or with a VERY well timed shroom.

No you cannot play on Wii U Virtual Console but MelonDS is a great and easy to use emulator that you can play online with
