I literally cannot believe i've waited 33 years to hear this. Absolutely incredible, note-perfect, even capturing the '87 guitar sound and those off-kilter guitar solos. This song ruled the summer of '87 for me. After Pandemonium, i was primed for Alternative Metal: King's X, Warrior Soul, Mordred, Bathory, Living Colour, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana... that album and this song opened the gates. Momentous.

Into the Pandemonium will always be for me one of the most important metal albums of all time. Love Morbid Tales and To Mega Therion, of course, but this was groundbreaking, both sonically and thematically, paving the way for sooooo much that came after it. The dark languishing and melancholic moods are expressed beautifully. This is art. There are depths here most would never traverse. I absorbed this album for months after it was released. And I still return to it time and time again. Thank you

This is a project that started in 87 with "Into the Pandemonium".

I guess we found some of the people who never listened to Celtic frost in the comments. Rex irae was ahead of its time in 1987. As for this live performance, it’s ok of course it wasn’t going to be as dark as Triptykon since that music concept wasn’t even formed until monotheist came out in 2006. Tom G. Warrior wanted to finish this project for Martin Eric Ain. Seeing this only makes me excited for the new Triptykon album, hoping for a 2021 release.

I remember reading a CF article back in the days of To Mega or Pandemonium and Tom spoke of the plan for future albums that sounded very exciting. The whole of into the pandemonium was about 20-30yrs ahead of its time! Tom g is way ahead of most other musicians.

Amazing performance, I actually prefer this to the original, feels more complete with the orchestra.
Safa Heraghi has such a powerful voice!

Is that the singer? The band should hire her, shes very good. No Floor Jansen or Diane van Giersbergen, but still very good.

@@beerdrinker1486 Yes, this is her. She has an amazing voice and I loved that she added some rasp at the end there, sounded great. I like Triptykon's usual collab (Simone Vollenweider) but Safa brings more diversity and power to their sound. I'd loose my shit if she'd feature on the new LP. Check out her feature in Dark Fortress' song On Fever's Wings
