So much crowd! 7:51 cyclist on track 9:50 even tailback of trams 😌 14:16 the truck blocks over 80 seconds! 26:45 so many busses everywhere 29:03 man, go away! 47:20 need an umbrella? 😉
I'm from Canada and are familiar with Toronto's tram system. I always thought that HK tram network, tall double deckers, narrow gauge, and only 4 wheels per car, were very daring from an engineering standpoint. It would need near-flawless attention to rail right-of-way construction and maintenance standards to assure safe operation for all who ride.
What I love about at-grade trams is that they don't swerve around and jump lanes like crazy bus drivers do but they're still forced to follow traffic rules.

Notice at 6:20 a towel falls out of the sky and lands on the man in the blue jacket pulling a suitcase. What a weird thing to happen. The guy keeps it, just weird.
I don’t feel weird at all. Someone had dried a bath towel on a balcony of an apartment building with shops on the ground floor, but it was blown down by sudden strong wind. No wonder that a man walking on the road takes the towel somewhere because it is dangerous to throw it away in the middle of the busy avenue. If it were me, I don’t want to bring a stranger’s towel home, but look for a trash box and dump it there.
Its not a country, it is Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China Although it is Autonomous with respect to self Government Hope this clarifys ;)

A classic example of why you should never allow steering traffic to mix with Tram cars :( In other words , a simple dividing line / or Partition , would alleviate the constant stop go manoeuvres caused by selfish steering Traffic , ie , buses, cars , trucks, etc etc.
still cant believe they demolished Tong Tak Pawn Shop such a historic building it was worth preserving! 8:10 If you look today its just an empty piece of corner land :(
I noticed a hell of a lot of police around, just about at every traffic light and then some. Might have been for the people that looked like they were having a parade with banners and a float.
That’s why barely anyone in Hong Kong owns a car. Everyone takes the subway (most efficient), or the bus or the tram. In fact, Hong Kong government discourages driving private cars. But as a result, the roads are pretty inefficient for traffic.
There are many reasons why trams is a better option. Trams go on electricity which is good for the environment, they have their own separated track in many areas that makes a smaller chance of getting stuck in traffic. They can carry many people at once and they are cheap to build and repair.
6:15 A cloth out of nowhere descending to land on blue jacket shoulder.
Well spotted, i think someone dropped his clothing because it came from upper levels of a building... funny, game of spotting...

and lots of stops. There should be more distance in between stops, not just a couple of meters. It is very slow.

Watching this would be boring, I thought, so I counted the buses and trams: It's 362

Question: How many cabs do they have in Hong Kong?
Answer: Yes.
Question: How many busses do they have?
Answer: Just as many.
All of'em. 🤣
About 5900 franchised buses on service right now
The very nerve of those cars getting on the tracks...lol

THIS VIDEO WAS SO COOL TOO SEE!

Nice catch, dude 😂
It's videos like this that make me so grateful of where I live. No Thank You
I'd gladly visit this place as a tourist but man, it gave me anxiety imagining living in this place. The commute to work every must be horrible

I would go insane there as a tram operator, rider, pedestrian or driver! (My only visit to Hong Kong was entirely by water. And that was nuts, too!)
very interesting video

Chill...I meant it was a weird thing to see. Maybe for you a towel falling out of the sky is a common thing, for me it's not. Take a hit and relax :}
Very common in a city with so many high rise buildings
Before I write a comment on this matter, I looked at the comments, and I found you the only one who noticed it .Bravo.

Great Video!

Paul Williams ya but there would be more auto traffic if this was done :)
wooow this is the paradise of the streetcars. now call tramcar.
I always feel extremely alive in such places, great video!
I was here & I like Hong Kong !
The layout of the city looks really cool
Would love to go there one day and ride that same route in person.
Very interesting I’ve never been to Hong Kong
I want to ride on that car somewhere :-)
I miss Hong Kong
Needs a monorail. Oh and at 6:43 the lorry belongs to Fook Kit Transport :D
You are never in a hurry riding the tram in Hong Kong...
great video

Interesting. I guess, the fastest mode of transport in Hong Kong, is probably walking.
the subway or the bus is a lot more efficient. But the trams apparently still exist for some reason, but it’s cheaper.

And I thought my city was big. Why on earth do we even build these mega cities.? Can't we do it a little better.?

great city but hell with too much trafic
It seems to be very ineffective traffic. Cars blocks public transport.

Overcrowded country
there is no a sunlight in Hong Kong. skyscrapes skyscrapers skyscrapers
The climate is such that most of the time that's a bonus.
what strikes me is a lot of the road signage, like the keep left signs are very similar or nearly the same as those in the UK
Hong Kong is a former Colony of the U.K.
Dopey.........................
Not everyone is going to know that, especially kids who never grew up during that age.
It's like Harry Potter bus

Why cars are allowed to drive on tram tracks? Can't understand.

Well, no, thanks... i am tired enough after watching this video...
An I thought Mexico had a lot of buses.

Wow! This tram should be replaced by a monorail that drives above the street. 😂
They already have a subway line underground on the exact same route.

And still getting stuck in traffic 😸 o cwap.
Catastrophe....

you don´t need any tram, if its track could be use by cars and busses. total senseless.
