Watching this tour of your beautiful city, three things really stood out. 1) How astonishingly clean and tidy your city looks. 2) How pedestrian and cyclist (and tourist) friendly it is. 3) The obvious thought and attention to detail that has gone into the layout and design. Fantastic. Could we please borrow your city planners (for my city Plymouth in the south-west UK) to come and help out with the total mess our planners have made here? Thank you for an amazing tour of your fabulous city.

I'm korean but this video clip is very interesting. Many Dutches use bicycles. maybe, many dutches think the protection of environment. 한국인인데 흥미로운 영상이었어요. 특히나 자전거를 많이 타는 사람들이 부럽네요. 환경보호를 많이 생각하는 것 같아요.
One big reason is that the bicycle is faster alot of the time becouse the city is designed for bicycles. And here we design them for bicycled becouse it would be fully congested with cars otherwise 😀
All means of transportation sharing in one particular road, what a perfect urban planning! So its not only the water system management that's may serve as models and worth to be emulated by other governance in the world. I really admire this fantastic country!!! Terrific video in how it illustrates the priority given to trams over less efficient vehicles and also the brisk operating practices. The latter are especially impressive given the number of tourists, many of whom will be unfamiliar with behaving around trams. Operators of lethargically operated newer systems, such as Edinburgh and Sydney, could learn many lessons.
This was a marvelous video. I few as a Flight Attendant for 40 + years and Amsterdam was one of my favorite layovers!!! A beautiful city with friendly residents. This video brought back many wonderful memories!! Thank you!!
I was there between 2018-2019 for a week. Christmas and happy new year I guess. I enjoyed it so much, these trams are amazing, and I used to ride them just for fun also listening Hardstyle music. My week here it was best one ever. Amazing city, interesting amount of crowd at once, I felt shocked but I survived :D I hope to be here again in 2021 or somerhing, all alone and happy!
I'm Dutch and most things are pretty well organised. We still have people though who don't want to follow the simple rules and therefore make a mess of it. Amsterdam is a beautiful city best visited really early in the morning during summer.

Love the sound of the bell, it reminds me of being very little in Chicago (when we had electric streetcars), and of San Francisco (being on vacation) and riding the cable cars. Such a nice (cheery)sound to me. I hope to see Holland some day.
Me too, but then as a Dutchie living close to Amsterdam and riding exactly these trams to my grandparents as a kid. Summers were always better as the driver would not have a jacket hung up behind him in the driver seat, so you would have a good view on all the controls and what he was doing. Still wish the Combino's (and the new 15G trams) had a real mechanical bell instead of that awkward and annoying electronic bell.
Can't imagine why people insist in calling Amsterdam a village rather than a city. While a city it definitly IS. b.t.w. if you like Dutch architecture, this vid is the best on you-tube!! 🌹👍

You're telling me you can have adequate bike lanes and reliable public transit mixed with cars and walking path, and beautiful rock gardens in-between? And all that space for trees! In my country this would have been filled up with an 8-lane avenue for cars only, and would take a pedestrian 10 minutes to cross from one side to the other, risking their life in the process.
I had never been to Europe and USA yet it is a previlage to watch this video displaying one of the cities from the country namely Netherlands in which three of my siblings and their grown up children live.
Just think in a hundred years people will be looking back on this and everyone will be dead in this film like the ones we look at from 1900s when there all looking at the camera people change but for the better. Thats what makes life quite amazing

A wonderful tour of Amsterdam city. I have been to the square in May so I know the feel of the place. Tram rides can be just as fun as train rides.
