Victoria de los Ángeles: « Because my vocal color is rather dark and my medium is timbred, I have been classified as a mezzo. In fact, I started out as a light soprano, almost a coloratura. Then I tried to gain depth without losing my high register, although I hate anything that sounds like a performance. » Victoria de los Ángeles passed away on January 15, 2005, at the age of 81, fortunately leaving her many admirers a very rich discography in which a number of reference integrals flourish, as a testimony to her immense talent.

My favorite soprano. I was fortunate to have seen her in concert many times.

Einfach wunderbar!

That's really wonderful, I was already as a child fascinated by
VdLA's voice because my mother heard those Songs of Andalusia almost every day!

O canto lírico sobrevive neste mundo tão inóspito a boa música.
