That video was extra enjoyable Scott. 👍👍 Shame it's such a drive to Mike shop as I ould get accustomed to you guys working / collaborating together on jobs.

There's an old saying about businesses. If you make a customer they'll tell 5 people. If you make them unhappy they'll tell 10. Me being a vindictive basturd if they make me unhappy I'll tell 20 or 40 or as many as my social media accounts can reach. Muhahahaha. 😡
@@vehcorCommie. You're leaving profit on the table! How unpatriotic can you be? All sarcasm aside, honest competent car guys are few and far between in my experience.

Thanks man. I was wondering if I was imagining things. He's buffing up since there's no place for the _pizza girl_ to not bring pizzas to. They're out there, Scott, Eric O, Rainman, Watch Wes and now Mike and I'm sure there's many others. These are the select few that have my weird kind of humour.
Ethical business-practices never go out of fashion. Years ago, it was said that it took $10,000.00 of advertising to replace one lost customer. I appreciate your moral commitment to excellent customer service. I wish you were here in Ontario, Canada!
A very talented man with a great sense of humor and honest as can be. Too bad people like you would NEVER consider running for office. But thanks for all you do!
As always, great work, and a shout out to Mike for being a great host!!! BTW, just keep Mr. Spotty under constant surveillance, we don't want any potential suspicious fires.
Good job Scott on fixing the air conditioning for the customer and taking the loss doing stuff like that is what makes you a good guy in life, kudos to you! Hope to see a update on your shop that burnt down and any new shop that's coming soon
Your model is the one I was taught when starting in a computer repair shop, and then again as I moved through the corporate world....or in the case of a couple of them saw how they didn't follow that standard. In the long run that little bit of warranty work will be worth it. I'm always amazed how you can get those electrical connectors off so easily. For me it's a ride on the struggle bus.
Scott, its not only a good business model you are following, Its the right thing to do. I did that in my electronics business and had many repeat customers and never advertised. Its an indication of moral character. Cheers from AU
Great video, and thanks to Mike also. I can see where Scott will soon be traveling to different repair shops around the country - as the Guy Fieri of rebuilders! 😂
Learnt very early in business the maxim" Give the customer want they want, not what you want to give them". Worked for me and customer turnover was minimal plus it cost a lot to gain customers and a lot more to lose them.
You can just take ohmeter and check clutch coil resistance and see if coil is open and juste replace that part without remove compressor and drain freon.
Pretty much the same had my "experience" not lead me down a slightly longer path. It was only a couple minutes, but had it panned out, it would have saved many more!
As a dealer from Florida Alabama and South carolina. Make sure you get the customer to sign a agreement vehicle is as is. There are no implied warranty. When you sell a vehicle as is. And then repair it. You are now renege on your as is agreement.
Scott Your an honorable man to cover the cost of the repair. Your treating people like you do is why your repaired vehicles sell fast. I hope you get a place to work on your own.
Awesome that you backed that up. Lot of folks would say, "as is. Tough". That shows a lot of integrity. By the way, the shirt I got from you is badass! I had someone recently tell me how much they liked your channel! I hope it helped after the fire fiasco, bro.

The only issue is I live in Canada so it makes it hard to buy one. Great job Scott and Mike.

Better than my car buying experience recently. Got it home found out dealer sold me a van with a hole in the rear subframe. They refused to fix it or refund me

This fix is the right thing to do, Scott. A A/C compressor isn't something they can easily abuse like an engine or tranny so it was something that was defective and on the way out so replacing was the right decision, IMO.
I just did the compressor on my G6, which has the same engine. Although sadly it took 2 tries because the first compressor I got was bad from the factory, didn’t have a valve plate so it wasn’t compressing anything. Bought another one and it worked fine
It’s good to see honest people take care of their customer’s. Good luck with your new shop,I’m sure it will be the way you want it.Too bad you’re not in Okeechobee Fla.
I've had the same issue with my Cobalt where when the thermostat starts going out, the AC stops working as a fail-safe. When this happens the coolant temperature does not give a reading on the digital display (shows --- as the temperature). A quick and easy thing to check for, definitely worth taking the two minutes of time to check for it.
Good job Brother….had very similar experience myself. Sold a 2012 Buick LaCrosse and a month later the young lady calls and says A/C blows hot. K….. she comes by and sure enough have 90 psi, power and ground going to the compressor. Got an AC Delco from Rock auto for $250, installed and she’s back on the road @ no cost to her. Good Business

That was a lot easier to replace than my 2013 Ford Explorer! My original 2013 compressor just failed on Sunday, and was just replaced today. The clutch failed, and Ford wanted $400 just a clutch kit, so opted to replace the whole compressor.
Great job on the repair Scott. Ive always said you are the best in the business and this just shows it. You got an return customer and will gain alot more customers from this repair.
