I appreciate all the tips and advice and I DID ask for it and DO need it. BUT. PLEASE keep in mind that my team is the worst in the country. 67ovr. I am SUPPOSED to be getting smacked almost every game bc that's what happens to bad teams. If I was a bad team but won all the time...I wouldn't be a bad team. So pls remember the tips are helpful but only SO helpful. I have 68ovr WRs and OL and CBs and I'm on Heisman. lol we are gonna get shit stomped no matter how I play usually.
So take this season and embrace the process and focus on building on what's good on our team. We got a good run game and decent DL. The losses suck but don't matter right now.
Playing style is how you play if you look at your recruits for example say a physical wr in the recruiting tab under my school you can see what each type of player wants from your offense/defense per game
I played football for 9 years, my biggest piece of advice that's often overlooked is all you need is to get 4 yards every play and you're unstoppable. If you gain 4 yards a play you'll march down the field, eating up clock and tiring out the defense. Just remember 4 yards consistently is a goal to shoot for
This is what Army is amazing at and people don’t understand that football is a game of inches and hell if the coach is aggressive enough 3 yards is enough for a team
@@voidedmaniac7757dude Army is the best at this stuff bc every single position is steel tough and they'll bend you until you break. I work at Air Force and they are usually better in terms of skill but injuries and QB issues tanked their season from the beginning. It's hard to come back from a 1-7 start but they showed promise at the end.
@@JustJimmy-24 its that good ole Triple Option that i would love for an offense but hate for the defense, Navy is also a team thats good at it and destroys Memphis(my team) every time we play em lol
Say you know ball without saying you know ball. Same thing goes with watching Rico dowdle run. Everyone says we don’t have a run game yet we have a back who can have 4.6 yards a carry a game but has only had 11 attempts the first half of the year
29:55 The playing style dealbreaker can be checked when you’re in recruiting, go to “my school”, and scroll over to playing style. Different archetypes will have a different playing style goal (agile and power o-lineman want more rushing yards per game; pass protecting o-lineman want more passing yards per game). I believe the grade is calculated based on how your team compares to all other teams, so there no set amount of yard you need to get.
I’ve found that agile guys sometimes want more passing yards. I was getting 200+ rushing yards a game and my playstyle was going down with an agile lineman. I’ve found that power always wants rushing yards. So maybe agile guys want more of a balance with rushing and passing yards. 300+ passing and 150+ rushing usually works
@ Interesting. It might be because I play as Army, but I’ve had playing style dealbreaker, agile o-lineman on my roster where I throw for maybe 75 yards a game, but average 350 on the ground. Maybe it’s different based on school and scheme?
Make sure you’re scouting, sometimes when you get to 100% scouting a gem will pop up and that means they will develop a lot faster and become better than your average player, on the other hand a gem with an “x” over it can pop up, meaning they will develop slower and be below average of a player
I don't have points to scout right now. I am just focusing on filling as many position needs as possible and building a foundation. Next year I can recruit less players and scout them more.
For recruiting. You are able to get 5-stars as a bad team, sometimes even multiple. You have to look weekly. As for the DT Boykin. Before the Vanderbilt game you were 2nd. But the bar filled up more than Arkansas. Who was the 1st place team. You do have to put a lot of points and kind of put your eggs into 4 baskets.
I’ve been waiting eagerly for this video! Been binge watching all the Madden and college 25 vids you have and love the content! Keep up the excellent work.
In recruiting you do want to send the house (the 50 pts) on the guys you really want to get and maybe even some of the other 3 stars as that gets battles done faster and then you can put the points elsewhere after they commit. Also toward the end of the battle you see hard sell. If you have good grades in them it can move the needle from and lock up some of those guys you want. If you have bad grades though you might as well just keep sending the house as the bad grades aren’t very persuasive. Also at the start of every season when you fill up your recruiting board scout your players! As you can find some of those key ratings and you can find gems or broken gems aka busts. Broken gems usually means they are usually worse than their star rating indicates and normally have normal dev. Then the gems can indicate that their better than their star rating or have a very high dev trait or both. The gems I highly encourage you to send the house on. If you don’t scout some of those guys in season like you did here I encourage to still scout them to see if they are worth heavily going after especially as 3 stars. Hope this helps!
Came to say this. “Nobody got open.” He’s WIDE open. Shame man. Hard to watch these videos because right before that there was like a 30 second runoff because he’s not paying attention to the clock.
Hey wildcat huge Hog fan here I'm chanting CRANK THOSE HOGS each time I watch. A little tip for you if you haven't caught on is ai will pick up quicker on your style than Madden. So if you run, run, pass than the ai will pick it up. Best suggestion for this is just to switch it up once in a while it helped me a lot
If you ever want to try being more run heavy, you can click L1 and then click X to ID the mike, especially for inside runs it basically tells the O Line who is the priority blocked linebacker in a double team once they push the D Lineman, not sure if it will help too much since ur team is 66 ovr but still worth trying!
Not necessarily a tip, but a request. Could you show the All Americans? It'd be great to see what players were good enough for for that title. Not the National, but your conference All Americans.
Tyler, on defense press R1 and shift your line either left or right depending on where the RB is if he’s on the left of the QB shift right vice versa, and be predicting pass/run
I’m just laughing my ass off watching my Alma mater Sam Houston State making Wildcat rage at this game even with my Bearkats losing. I’ll still enjoy my Alma mater play in their first bowl game this year, thanks Wildcat for playing against Sam Houston State, Eat ‘em up Kats!
@ it’s spelled Bearkats with a K & it’s a made up creature in the case of Sam Houston State. As for the same Eat ‘em up Kats with Texas State, I find it cool too, since my younger brother & several members of my family graduated from Texas State.
If you really want to get your offense going you can choose a playbook that prioritizes quick decisions, the air raid offense is a good choice, the run n shoot or even the veer and shoot. If you want to prioritize a good running game with well-timed play actions or medium-range passes go with the power spread.
I cover high school sports in the middle Tennessee area and Quincey Blue is a kid that plays for Dickson County. Makes me think of him every time Quincy Blue makes a play in game. Just a cool thing I noticed.
Around week 4/5 you can find some 4 star recruits that no one is going after and it is easy to bring them in. You will have to scout tho bc there will be busts
when you do get to be able to scout players fully the gem or broken gem means that the player has 1 star higher potential or 1 star lower potential for their attributes and development. ( 3 star gem player has the potential of a 4 star player; while 3 star broken gem player has potential of a 2 star player) :) also when on defense when you user the linebacker the switch stick is very good to switch to the safety quickly to help until you get better corners. w series
Dont forget to check for new recruits midway through the season. Sometimes new recruits can emerge and you can steal really good recruits if you get the jump on teams that dont notice them. Just got a 5* mlb thats crazy good without any fight from teams bc he randomly showed up in week 7 or 8 i think. Love vids man keep it up🤘〽️
Best advice I can give is to stop sprinting on inside run plays while your RB is still in the backfield. Give your line time and let the blocks develop and then hold R2 and sprint once the hole breaks open
Recruiting goes through top 8, top 5, and top 3. As long as you’re in that range, you have a chance. Just cuz you’re not first for them early on, doesn’t mean you won’t get them
I usually find that it’s waaaaaay harder to play linebacker if it isn’t a straight up custom character. You might as well play the DT and work the pass rush yourself, then you switch to user INT when you can.
You need to look at the routes and learn their break point if there is open space it’ll be off of their release more complications that way less traffic aswell
i don't know if anyone said this yet but idk if there's a way to always be on your middle linebacker but if you hold circle or B (whichever console you are on) you can use your left stick to quickly swap to someone by pointing into towards there position on the field instead of cycling through all your players just to get to the linebacker
dont hold the sprint trigger till after you pass the line of scrimmage, if you hold it before it, for some reason the defenders will come off their blocks faster, and use left trigger to cut into the hole you wanna run through. it will be a faster cut then a juke move and after the line of scrimmage you can use jukes and hold the sprint trigger
I still reckon turn wear and tear off especially if you’re running a balanced offense. To balance just turn your substitutions up a bit more. No player should ever have -10 in a stat before the end of the first quarter.
Right now don’t worry on scouting when you get your hours up then you can scout but anyone will be an upgrade. Make sure you redshirt freshman/sophomore that won’t play. Also turn wear and tear off, I know it’s more real but it’s busted and your best guys will sit out games and after one hit will lose 10 speed it’s broken.
In college you can fair catch it when inside the 25 and get the ball at the 25, you do not have to be in the endzone to fair catch it. So you don't have to it when catching it at like the 5
On a gaming level I watch cause I do not have the patience for the sports game genre any more I think the last madden I played was madden 25 and it ended with me breaking the disc 😂 as some who watches sports it beats watching the actual games at this point, like I said during the colts series it beat watching the bengals and with this I get to watch a brand new college take on the top schools I find it abysmal watching Ohio state university annihilate the small schools then get there ass handed to them by Michigan. But I enjoy watching the hogs and I'm surely a fan of N.U.T now 😂
If you want the gameplay to feel the most realistic to real life, put player minimum speed threshold to zero it makes your 99 speed players feel like Tyreek Hill and your slow players feel like their speed and size

That's the way I play as well. I'll put together drives that are like 12 plays, 85 yards, and 10:00 long. It's the most reliable way to win games.
