    I remember when Perry played in Max Warrior and Nantucket before Firehouse. I played in a local band and was always impressed by his talent and stage presence, of course I couldn’t let him know that then, lol. An absolute powerhouse.

    I had to come back and say some more. All these years I never listened to Stryper. I am 60. I am thrilled and amazed. What rock band has ever made a song about Creation? "Let There be light". For a rock band to make a song about God and creation and have it be such an awesome song is incredible.
    I recently downloaded a bunch of songs and burned a CD. Starts with Big screen lies, Blood from above, Do onto others. This is such a basic staple of the gospel and I love this song because it speaks to me. Say again a rock band making a song about the basic gospel and have it sound so good, next is
    wrong to right. (Jesus is the way), Oh yes that JESUS, thange, love great, heaven, pride, let him in. Puts it point blank, basic gospel made into such a great song, Make Love great again, what a song. Soldiers under command, ,, YAHWEY, FREELY SURRENDR, The way King of Kings, and let there be light, This is bible teaching in Rock. Surely not the music oh miss priss jan markell on olive tree views appreciates, but i do and as long as they stay in the format
    of my cd listed here i will be a fan. My only knock was that half the words you cannot understand in his singing so I read the lyrics of websites like this
    www.azlyrics.com/s/stryper.html,, before i went and burned the cd. Read all the words and you can appreciate what they do and the music they make. These songs based on the bible do speak to your heart so powerfully.

    It's amazing to me to see these guys I grew up listening to back in the 80s and into the very early 90s, that have come full circle in life and still doing what they love, despite the way the music industry and music world has changed (not necessarily for the better) since then.
    I first got into Stryper from a buddy of mine in middle school back in 1986 in 8th grade lol. I was into the band but hardly a Christian, didn't even grow up in a Christina home and never went to church. But I was into Stryper bc I LOVED hard rock and metal, and obviously that was the hey day of all the hair bands.
    I just turned 50 last month, and to this day, my favorite bands are;
    Iron Maiden
    Megadeth
    Iced Earth
    Stryper
    Battle Beast (Helsinki, Finland)
    Pantera

    Me too. I love their sound. The heaviness , the riffs and the solos. The Christian message didnt sway me to like or dislike them. They rocked so hard it was undeniable. They were one of the best hard rock/ metal bands of the time.

    I discovered Stryper for myself at 46 years old. I had only heard clips of “calling on you” on MTV, which was a little too glam for my taste. I had no idea about their Amazing talent and songwriting or else I would have followed their music much sooner. One of few bands where there is hardly a song you want to skip on their albums. Most bands can only produce 2 to 3 quality songs per album. Or the content is so negative or offensive that it’s unacceptable. Most bands can’t produce quality music after their 2nd or 3rd decade, if they make it 3 years. Stryper stands head and shoulders above the rest. Though I believe Skillet might be there one day. But Stryper are the Rock pioneers. And they’ve stood the test of time.

    I like Perry, but Tim’s baselines are a huge part of Stryper’s sound. He has some pretty big shoes to fill. You can also read Oz’s body language. Oz & Tim have always been super close.

Now without Gains" Stryper has to work 7X Harder to pull off a good song; Yet alone the Strut Dance that Tim does on Stage is no more. The Energy of Stryper is not there..this is the Crap I get at work" One new dude thinks he's better than me & physically stopping my Style of Speed of work that God Blessed me with! The crew over looks my Hard work & allows that Crap to carry on..Nah! They got Striped 3 weeks with there Covid Lies
