Thx much for your build presentation. Great work in part one.
A couple observations. Curtiss-Wright didn't use blue inside the radiator intake; interior green/ chromate, gray or unfinished, perhaps dictated by contract. Any blue that got inside radiator cowl was likely azure blue overspray done at an RAF depot.
The black painted, balloon-like attachment on/to the rear of the control stick handle is a sprue "nib" that should be removed. Rivets, flush or otherwise, were not in evidence on P-40 aelerons. Relatively few rivets were employed in the aeleron framework construction (at framework pieces intersections, not lines of rivets). This is because aelerons were fabric-covered, the fabric stitched to the framework, the stitching covered with strips of pinking (cut with pinking shears) fabric, which was "doped" (glued) to the underlying stitched fabric, then the entire assembly doped and painted. Doping solution was a usually clear, silver or tan varnish/lacquer that sealed ("weatherproofed") the fabric, and was compatible with the overlying pigmented camouflage finish.

I agree with the comments by j.stabile. In all though, the end result was a very nice P 40. I do hope your failure to excise the molding nib seen on the upper joystick was intentional - to check if we are really watching. Or could it be you are honestly not familiar with US aircraft manufacturing techniques. Anyway, it certainly set the stage for a humorous viewing. Keep up the good work. You're doing great.

Looks great,, and the seatbelts are a nice little bonus too.
One small thing though,, you've left the sprue nub on the control stick... It's the big bloby thing pointing towards the pilot,, it shouldn't be there.

Hmm, I did think it was a bit odd, though I swear it was on the instructions... I will take another look!

No worries mate,, glad it helped 👍
I don't usually like to pick guys up on things,,, but he's made such a beautiful job of it so far I thought I'd mention it so it could corrected before the canopy goes on.
      Happy modelling 😎🍻🍻

Not being nitpicky but us modelers tend to be anyway so I apologize ahead of time. Somebody already pointed out the knob on the back of the control stick which shouldn't be there.
And the ailerons are fabric and they are applied to the ribs with an adhesive not rivets. While the rivets are a nice touch they wouldn't be on the fabric covered flight control surface. But it's a great build!

Been looking at it since release but not bought it yet.. Too busy with Viggens, P-47s and P-51s.. ;) But it looks great! Always liked the earlier P-40s, especially in RAF colours. But a Pearl harbour bird would be cool too.

I was tempted to mention this too; but was reluctant because of the beautiful work on the rest of the plane. I made so many mistakes like this that I now spend about 2 hours of research for every hour of modeling {perhaps a slight exaggeration}. Can't tell you how much time I spent making the slightest alterations only to find out it was already correct. UUGH!
