I don't know. Its a really long game to not have any password or save feature or to not have unlimited continues. And even if you have them I think its a pretty average platformer for the time... You can do way better on the genesis and even more so in the super nintendo
Wow I can't believe someone actually beat this entire video game. I barely discovered this game when I bought the Ps4 Sega Genesis Classics. There were like 53 video games and Kid Chameleon was one of them.

This is only scratching the surface. You need to at least experience Hills of the Warrior... It'll get your heart pumping trying to outrun a spiked wall of death (nothing insanely difficult, until you get to the other 2 chase levels in the game... fuck those ones!). Absolute fucking classic, ecstatic to see you play it
In regards to the “spoof of a spoof” conversation, the stairway shootout dream sequence from The Naked Gun was a spoof on a shootout from The Invincibles, which was using that shootout scene as a spoof to some shootout scene from an old silent film
The movies were not "spoofs", but the Japanese movie Seven Samurai was remade as a Western (but filmed in Italy) as Magnificent Seven, and that in turn was flipped into the A-Team TV show. So not going the "comedy route" (which a spoof would require right?), but people definitely "make things out of things that turn into other things" :)
Scream wasn't really a spoof, so much as it was playing off of the tropes of the slasher genre. Not just as in that's what the movie was, but that's also what the killer(s) in the movie were doing. But on it's own it was a full-on slasher too. It may have played off the tropes, but it was still actually a slasher movie too. Scary Movie was a straight up spoof.

I honestly have no idea who the hell could manage this game on a genesis without saving somewhere. Granted, this stage is pretty simple but as soon as you get into the third/fourth quarter of the game they hit you with trollish level design real quick. Like some of the levels are something a five year old with a copy of super Mario maker would make lol
For anyone whose played this game, I dunno if anyone remembers the level where you basically fall down these shutes and you're supposed to climb back up, but there is a god damn UFO shooting down at you like there is no tomorrow as you are trying. It's the level that nearly made me want to destroy my Sega
Look closer and you'll see there is no clear pattern here like in megaman. Sometimes two rows disappear at the same time and some other times all three rows disappear. Or the one you are on disappears before the one you want to jump in. No wonder they tried different strategies.

Yes, waited for this episode forever! This game basically requires a map (find one on Google) there are many level combinations and finding the best path can be really beneficial to a playthrough. This is a very difficult game (There's about 100 levels, but since it's a branching game you won't do them all in one playthrough), but with patience it can be done! I've beaten it quite a few times. After you know what you're doing you can beat the game in about an hour or two. Also speaking of virtual reality I would love to see you guys play some PlayStation VR games.

As I remember it, you must mean a teleporter from "Under Skull Mountain 2," which unfortunately only skips most of the work to do in that level itself, but you still have to deal with "Under Skull Mountain 3," the one easiest to make fatal mistakes of that group of 3.
@@Cl04d You can skip that area in multiple ways. For one, there's the plethora skip which skips the whole game, including skull mountain. You can do the score-based shortcut in skull mountain 1, which skips the entirety of world 1. Third, there's a teleporter in skull mountain 1 that skips straight to skull mountain 3. None of those require game genie.

Speaking of Jason and Splatterhouse, Namco later made a Splatterhouse parody called "Wanpaku Graffiti" for the Famicom. To sum the game up, it's quite possibly one of the strangest spoofs ever made in any kind of media.
Why everyone in comments mentioning other games ? This one of the greatest games of all time. One of longest console games evet made 121 levels or so and they didn't even delve into the use of gems yet... 20 -60 gems each have different abilities for each character. Knight gets extra hit point for each character until u die tank fires a triple shot etc. Great game and one of my favorites. Tip : press Start + A ? Uses gem abilities PART 2 NEEDED
I'd like to see Mike beat this game in a long play. I'm pretty sure I beat it once, like 25 years ago. It's a hard game, but it is definitely beatable.

One of my favorite Sega games, it was weird and at the time I consumed the ever loving hell out of it.
I loved it too. But I had to use the game genie to finish it, some levels were too damn hard, I didn't had the patience as a kid.

Speaking of Jason and Splatterhouse, Namco later made a Splatterhouse parody called "Wanpaku Graffiti" for the Famicom. To sum the game up, it's quite possibly one of the strangest spoofs ever made in any kind of media.

This game is amazing but absolutely insane for a full playthrough. There are so many levels and so many of them are enormous
How big is it compared to something like super mario world?
Why everyone in comments mentioning other games ? This one of the greatest games of all time. One of longest console games evet made 121 levels or so and they didn't even delve into the use of gems yet... 20 -60 gems each have different abilities for each character. Knight gets extra hit point for each character until u die tank fires a triple shot etc. Great game and one of my favorites.
Tip : press Start + A ? Uses gem abilities

I'd like to see Mike beat this game in a long play. I'm pretty sure I beat it once, like 25 years ago. It's a hard game, but it is definitely beatable.

EFFORT!!! LoL. It seemed to me that they liked the idea of this game but didn't actually put much effort into trying to play it properly. Oh well!!! Maybe next time.

I recommend Plok, for SNES, good platformer, amazing soundtrack from the guy that made the soundtrack of Silver Surfer (NES), the creators are still active on twitter and have a webcomic of Plok.

Funny that you mention the horror movies. I also went as Jason one year and also Freddy the next year, but never saw the movies as a kid. Weird.

This game had 2 things to recommend about it... Branching paths and cool bosses. Neither of which are seen here.
This game is one of my all time favorites, hard as hell, but its such a good game, ive beaten it, but it takes alot of memorization and patience.
