Generally a bad sign when a game gives you ten lives right off the bat. Suggests the devs couldn't balance the game so just doused the player with lives.
At least they had enough thought to give you those lives. It's even more infuriating when a game isn't balanced and is super difficult and they give you 1 or 2 lives and expect you to beat it.
I wish the show was like this game. Indiana is always depicted as a confident rogue, but it would be so much more entertaining if he was a bumbling goofball who got struck by lightning, terrorized by a monkey wearing a little suit, crushed by spike walls, and if there was a whole episode where he was trying to cross a lake, but every time he tried to jump to the next patch of ice, a little fish divebombed him into the water.
He was a bumbling goofball some of the time in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. The episode where he has to battle bureaucratic nonsense in Prague with Frank Kafka for example and he only is trying to repair a telephone line.

The whip is a fucking 3D polygonal object, that's so wild looking. Very cool for the time as visual flair but not at all conducive to fun gameplay. You can see it functionally slow down at times.
