Never heard of this brand. I will definitely keep them in mind. I been using the Pergear Type A cards with their 2560gb and 512gb in my A7RV, A7iv, fx30, and Sony NX800 with great success for the past 18 months. But thes OCW cards are definitely faster then the pergear
I've seen those cards when searching for type a cards, but have not tried them since I'm not familiar with the brand - but glad to hear they're working out for you. I wanted to go with the Sony cards, but they were too expensive when you need 2+ cards per camera minimum. I just ended up using v90 cards but these OWC cards seem like a happy medium for me
Sorry but I use to own a FX3, sold it and now have an FX30 but what codec does the FX30 only enable the use of a CF express Card? I thought the V90 cards could pretty much shoot any codec just fine. I usually just shoot HS codec because I can get 1 hour 15 more or less yet 19 minutes when in SI or the highest quality and have not noticed enough of a improvement in that codec to justify all the extra space taken up on my SD's and External hard drives to justify it. Or am I missing something? Basically what are the benefits of using a CF express card type A for an FX30?
In the market for some CFExpress Type A cards, but i'm looking for VPG400 cards in case something happens and I want the best of the best in the future or whatever... The Angelbirds look nice but readers are 20Gb/s readers, OWC only do VPG200 but have 40GB/s readers, and Nextorage has VPG400 but don't have readers at the moment. I've heard people say to use the same reader as the cards for maximum compatibility, but trying to get the Type A-B Adapter tech seems hard to find for VPG400 cards. Can't even find adapters that don't look shady outside of OWC which only come from buying the actual card... Sigh...
This is insane value!?! It’s almost too good to be true!
Thank you for the rec! I would LOVE a follow up video on this!
I definitely plan on making a follow up video in the future
Very helpful video thank you
Keith! where did you get the adapter? I can't find a cfexpress type A to B adapter anywhere
Yo - it comes in the box with the OWC type a card
I’m with you. OWC is great.

What about Angel Bird's newest CFexpress type A cards?
I have not tried the new angel bird cards - will have to check those ones out!
@@keith-knittel I am thinking about ordering one since I used 160gb Sony Tough cards at the moment for my content.
Energize! Make it so!

These OWC cards :D
I ended up with the 320GB Lexar 800MB/s CFExpress A card for $240 on sale.
I love that CF Express type a cards are coming down in price!
